Replacing the H1 lamp in Bosch headlights model 2110 with H7

Many VAZ 2110 owners are faced with the fact that the Bosch lights on their car do not illuminate the road well enough at night. They have a standard H1 lamp installed.

The process of replacing a standard H1 lamp with an H7 in VAZ 2110 lighting sources is quite simple - it consists of the following steps:

1. Disconnect all headlight connections.
2. We remove the radiator grille - to do this you need to unscrew the bolts that secure it.
3. We disconnect the blocks with wires from the turn signals.
4. We remove the hydraulic corrector - to do this, press the latch and turn it ninety degrees.
5. We unscrew the 3 bolts that secure the flashlight and move it back. We move the eyelash to the center, getting rid of the engagement with the wing.
6. Loosen the 2 bolts securing the buffer and remove the eyelash.
7. Unscrew another nut and remove the light source.
8. We heat the sealant and use a knife to open the headlight.
9. The hole for the H1 lamp will need to be drilled. It is smaller in diameter than needed for H
10. You will also need to remove the terminals and install those that are suitable for the lamps that we installed - there will be 4 of them.
11. After drilling, insert the lamp into the hole and fix it with standard fasteners.
12. The fixation of the reflector will need to be adjusted so that it stays in place properly.
13. Instead of lamps, we can install LEDs in side lights.
14. Next, we assemble the lights back, install them on the car and adjust them.

Power plant modernization

Tuning the VAZ 2111 power unit is usually carried out in one of two directions. In the first case, the goal is to increase power and traction characteristics. In the second case, the main task is the desire to reduce fuel consumption without significantly deteriorating dynamic characteristics.

The easiest way to change engine power is to reflash the electronic control unit. Chip tuning allows you to return to factory settings in case of an undesirable result. This is the main advantage of flashing.

Manufacturing of body kits

Let's look at how you can change the bumper on a 2110. You can do this tuning yourself, then they become individual and unique in their own way. But this is not at all easy to do, as it seems at first glance. There are several options for designing a tuned bumper for the “ten”.

Method one - making a part from polyurethane foam - is the most common option for Lada cars. The old surface of the standard buffer is cleaned and degreased. The frame of the future product is made from a profile for plasterboard or suspended ceilings. It is needed so that the part holds its shape and it is easy to apply foam. The frame is attached to the old bumper with screws or self-tapping screws.

Now you can apply the foam. When it dries, use a stationery or sharp knife with a thin blade to cut off the remaining material. The surface is leveled, after which a thin layer of putty is applied. The bumper is polished and leveled using a grinding machine. The VAZ-2110, the tuning of which usually begins with the exterior, is often subject to modifications.

Let's go back to the bumper that needs painting. The colorist uses computer selection to determine and mix the paint. Since the paintwork fades during operation, this is taken into account in the composition. The paint is applied in two layers, then the varnish. Everything is dried using special lamps.

The part is now ready for installation. When making a customized bumper with your own hands, it is worth considering that the standard fasteners must remain so that you do not have to make them separately. Suspension tuning

What to do next if adjustment does not help?

Most often, this problem occurs when the parking brake lever cable breaks. As practice shows, owners of old VAZ-2110 cars find themselves in this situation more often than others. You should not assume that under intense load the cable will function for too long even on newer domestic models.

The cable in a VAZ-2110 car should be changed if the tips are significantly weakened, its threads are strongly stretched and this part is difficult to move in its shell. It is worth noting that the car owner can do the work of replacing the cable on his own; you just need to have an assistant and some free time. It is very difficult to replace the cable alone.

PAINTING THE CEILING

Over time, the ceiling of any car gets dirty and changes color. Spots may appear on it. All this looks very unsightly. Some drivers order ceiling reupholstery. It is not so easy to do it in a garage. And specialist services are expensive. This is why many drivers prefer to paint the car ceiling rather than reupholster it. Here's what's required:

• universal paint. Sold in cans (5 pieces are required for the interior of a VAZ 2110). The disadvantage of this paint is that after a few years it begins to crumble. In addition, the interior of the car after such painting has to be ventilated for several days;
• a mixture of water-based and universal paint. This option is used as an alternative to the previous one. This mixture holds up better on the ceiling.

SEQUENCING

Before painting begins, the ceiling covering will have to be removed from the car.

1. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew all the screws that hold the ceiling covering in place. There are several plastic clips around the perimeter; they open manually. The ceiling covering is removed from the interior.
2. If the driver has chosen the option with mixed paints, then water-based paint is mixed with universal paint in approximately equal proportions until the consistency of the mixture becomes like water.
3. The resulting paint is applied to the ceiling with a regular paint roller. The paint layer should not be too thick so that the material is not soaked through.
4. The painted ceiling covering is dried in the open air, then installed back into the interior.

Differences between the VAZ 21123 coupe and the VAZ 2112

The first thing that catches your eye is the doors. There are not four of them, but two, and they have become 20 cm wider; boarding and disembarking has now become much more convenient, especially for large drivers. Along with the increase in door size, the weight also increased, which led to the use of new, more durable, cast hinges.

The B-pillar has been moved back, which has affected visibility; it has become better. This change also entailed changes in other parts of the body, for example, the front fenders became embossed. A different hood, front bumper and radiator grille have been installed. The changes also affected the rear arches; the cutline was raised, revealing the wheel, and a large “eyebrow” flaunts above the arch. The side mirrors have become sportier and their size has become smaller. In the rear of the car you can highlight the original rear spoiler, which, by the way, can be installed on a regular “two-wheeler”.

Small improvements are also noticeable inside the car. The front seats of the VAZ 21123 are sports-style with height adjustment. Instrument cluster with markings up to 240 km/h. Sports steering wheel with reduced diameter.

There are two options for car configurations:

1. “norm” - VAZ 21123-00 with a VAZ-21124 engine.
2. “luxury/sport” - VAZ 21128-03 with a 1.8-liter VAZ-21128 engine.

On some versions, the main cylinder and vacuum booster from Chevy Niva were installed. The front wheels have a larger diameter and are designed for 15-inch wheels. The rear brakes were optionally installed with disc brakes instead of drum ones. A ZF power steering was used. To make the car more stable, the springs were shortened and the diameter of the stabilizer was increased. In addition, the rear suspension has more solid silent blocks, a stabilizer and spacers to widen the track and cause negative camber. Also worth noting are alloy wheels and athermal glass. Air conditioning was installed upon request. The door handles are borrowed from Kalina.

On a VAZ 21123 car with a 1.8 liter engine. a reinforced LuK clutch with a diameter of 200 mm is used. Gearbox with a stronger output shaft and larger synchronizers. The main pair in the usual version is -3.9, in the exclusive version - 4.1 or 4.3, a high-friction differential and another series of gear ratios in the box. The wheel drives have oversized joints (made by GKN), like on a VAZ-21106 with a two-liter engine.

The variety of body colors is not large: reddish and yellowish and two “metallics” – dark and blue. Each color has its own interior with matching inserts on the seat cushions and backs, door trims and interior side panels.

There is nothing strange in the fact that the “reformers” took the new product into circulation almost from the assembly line - athletes and tuners really miss the basic car with three doors. In Germany, for example, the basis for creating the most interesting projects is precisely cars with reduced door content.

Wireless charger

Modern business class cars have many useful options, for example, wireless charging of a mobile device. Many people have phones that are charged from a special unit. You can make a similar base yourself in the car in question. Let's consider all the features of such a modification. Wireless power supply occurs via the QI channel. This standard can be used to transmit energy over a distance of up to 4 centimeters. The technology involves transferring energy between two induction coils.

A fairly popular option for installing wireless charging is to embed the unit into a tunnel. In this case, the mobile phone will be charged almost constantly, and the phone can be picked up during a call quite quickly. In order to tune the interior of a VAZ 2110, you will need the following parts:

1. Charging module, which transmits current according to the standard in question.2. A converter that can reduce the voltage from 12 V to 5 V.3. A heat gun that will be used to mount the power supply.

Please note that the charger model is powered from a 5 V network. That is why the connection should be made through a converter

You can create a special niche for the charging module, which will eliminate the possibility of the phone slipping while turning. The mobile phone power base is attached to the base using thermoplastic. In order to monitor charging, you can display the LED in a visible place.

In a similar way, you can create a special unit to power a mobile phone. You can also purchase special holders that are designed for charging a cell phone in a car. However, their use is quite inconvenient.

Illuminated seat belts and locks

You should pay attention to the possibility of changing the car interior by installing backlighting for the seat belt, handles and locks. Such changes are not only attractive, but quite useful - you can simply find a belt, handle or lock in the dark

In our case, we use a red backlight.

It is quite attractive at the right time and gives the interior a sporty look. In order to carry out the modernization in question, you should purchase some elements:

• Resistors and drivers.
• Wires, the length of which is 1 meter.
• LEDs in the amount of 4 pieces.
• Thermal gun and insulating material.

These consumables can be purchased at a fairly low price.

The job of creating the backlight consists of doing the following:

1. Tuning the VAZ 2110 interior begins with dismantling work. The seat belt buckle can be disassembled by unscrewing the bolt. Please note that there is no need to dismantle the seats. The structure is disassembled by slightly expanding the body using a knife or thin steel plate or screwdriver.2. After completing the dismantling work, the LEDs should be attached. Fixation is carried out using special glue. In this case, the cable is also fastened using the method in question.3. We check that these elements do not interfere with the functioning of the belt. Otherwise, rework will need to be done.4. If nothing interferes, then you can reassemble the structure in the reverse order. 5. In order to significantly increase the service life of diodes, you need to use resistors when connecting.6. Quite a lot of problems are caused by wiring connections. It extends under the seat, then into the tunnel.7. The diodes are connected depending on the needs.

The above points should be taken into account when considering how to change the interior by installing lighting. Tuning the interior of a VAZ 2110, carried out by installing LEDs, does not take much time.
