The original carburetor had become very bad; there was no desire to sort through and clean it. I decided to put something more modern. The choice fell on 21053-1107010-20 Solex. I bought it in the hypermarket “Country of Spare Parts” on the street. Ketcherskaya 2-A.
I checked the code on the website - the carburetor is original.
Also for installation we will need:
— Choke cable 2108, because classic short. — Set of rods and adapters for gas drive (Niva). — Check valve; tee; hoses. — Thick thermally insulating gasket and thin ones under the carb flange + possibly studs.
— Hoses for the carburetor heating system, suitable for 2108, fuel can also be used.
We remove the old carburetor, install a new cable, rods, studs, gaskets.
We install the lower part first, for the convenience of connecting all hoses and rods.
Next, we install the upper part, attach the return line for fuel, and the cable.
We pump up the gas and you can try to start the car. I got it started the first time. I adjusted the quantity and quality a little, installed an air filter and went to test it. The car does not stall from 500-600 rpm, picks up instantly, and reacts clearly to the gas pedal.
