How to increase the cleaning area of ​​your windshield?

The most common reason why the wiper does not reach the edge of the glass is an old-style frill (wind flap). In this case, the windshield wiper arm rests against the frill. The radical, and simplest, solution: make a V-shaped cut in the frill, which will give more movement to the leash.

Second solution: install the driver's side wiper higher than the initial position. Essentially, the higher the starting position of the brush, the larger the area it cleans.

However, there are disadvantages to this method. The raised windshield wiper blade now looks less aesthetically pleasing, which many car enthusiasts may not like. In addition, a raised wiper, which is no longer located under the frill, worsens the aerodynamic properties of the car, creating excessive air resistance. Still, the area near the counter will not be completely cleaned. The dirty part will resemble a wedge.

This deficiency is corrected by bending the windshield wiper arm. It is necessary to increase the angle of the factory bend. This is done by selection method. It is also worth slightly bending the upper end of the wiper spoiler, otherwise it may touch the blade when moving.
