Product Description
Rosneft Magnum Ultratek 5W40 is a synthetic produced on a high-quality basis using innovative technologies. This base makes the product surprisingly resistant to oxidative processes. As a result, the oil does not deteriorate longer, does not age, and retains all its properties.
The latest generation salicylate additive package provides the engine with unsurpassed cleanliness and effectively prevents the formation of deposits. Reliable, stable operation of the vehicle is ensured both at low and high ambient temperatures. Always easy cold start, minimal waste consumption, constant viscosity.
This synthetic motor oil is perfectly adapted to Russian real operating conditions. This is a sharply continental climate with frosty winters and hot summers. These are difficult road conditions. City heavy traffic with traffic jams. And the fuel is not always of high quality. Oil reduces the harmful effects of the listed factors on the engine, thereby maintaining its performance longer and extending its service life.
Signs of fake oil after the first fill (during operation):
- Problems with starting the engine due to freezing of the oil, which can acquire a jelly-like state even at not very low temperatures. Such a lubricant is not capable of lubricating and cooling parts, which as a result overheat, experience dry friction and are subject to increased wear. In the end, there is a high probability of parts melting and major overhaul of the internal combustion engine.
- Excessive oil consumption and the need for constant topping up are typical problems that arise after pouring a counterfeit base. Such a liquid has high carbon dioxide and volatility, and is also prone to the formation of deposits that accumulate in the engine oil passages. Increased carbon emissions reduce the service life of the engine. It should be remembered that counterfeit oil does not correspond to any of the parameters indicated on the product label.

Can be used in almost any modern engines running on both gasoline and diesel fuel. Including those equipped with turbocharging.
Reviews
- Alexey, Nizhny Novgorod region. I have a Lada Vesta 2016 1.6 - a good workhorse, it drives around day and night and brings profit. After buying the car, I decided to try out the factory oil a little (it was filled at the factory), and then I filled in various oils, including even Shell, Mobile, Castrol, etc. In the end, I finally decided on the choice in favor of Rosneft Magnum Ultratek 5W-40 , which is almost in no way inferior to more expensive oils - the engine runs like a clock, and the oil is effectively pumped when starting or running the engine for many hours, preventing parts from rubbing, overheating and wearing out ahead of time. Thus, in practice, I myself have come to the conclusion that I am using real synthetics, which are no worse in efficiency than any Mobiles. But as for the stability of detergent additives, Rosneft is enough for 7-8 thousand mileage, while in the case of Castrol I rolled 10-11 thousand before the next replacement. And yet, I was pleased. In addition, Rosneft has a minimal likelihood of counterfeits, and it is better to buy Castrol only in large and expensive stores.
- Yaroslav, Pyatigorsk. Rosneft Magnum Ultratek 5W-40 is a reliable ultra-sentiment at an affordable price, for which there can be no downsides. The only thing that confuses me is the short service interval compared to Shell oil from a friend of mine (we have the same Suzuki Vitara car), who fills the oil every 12 thousand kilometers. I have this figure for only 8 thousand km. At the same time, Russian grease begins to darken at the 3rd thousand - apparently, in this way (using the dipstick) you can determine the effectiveness of detergent additives, which surprisingly are not lost until the next oil change. Another friend of mine pours Rosneft Magnum Ultratek 5W-40 into the Gazelle Next engine. He constantly boasts that the Gazelle engine starts well when cold and has excellent cleaning properties. In general, in my case and in another case (with friends), the power unit operates softly - at least I don’t hear the hydraulic compensators at all.
- Igor, Leningrad region. My wife drives a Nissan Qashqai, but since she doesn’t know much about it, the review will be from me. After all, I also drive a Nissan, but not as often. Nissan branded oil was poured into the engine from the factory. As soon as the time came to change, we immediately trusted the domestic brand, but first it was Lukoil, then Gazprom, and now Rosneft Magnum Ultratek 5W-40 - we have already changed the oil twice. The replacement schedule is 8-9 thousand km. Everything is good and clear - the lubricating properties cope with their task better than those of competitors (Lukoil and Gazprom). There are no leaks or drips, fuel consumption is within normal limits. But the Qashqai’s mileage is approaching 150 thousand (a first-generation car), and soon it will be necessary to switch to oil with a higher viscosity.
- Vladislav, Irkutsk region. Rosneft is not a very popular brand, known only to Russian consumers. But on the other hand, this is good, since I have never seen counterfeits of this oil, even in small stores. Initially I filled it with Lukoil oil - it was recommended to me by the official AvtoVAZ dealer (Lada Granta car). I have nothing against Lukoil, but purely out of curiosity I decided to switch to Rosneft 5W-40 Magnum Ultratek, which in terms of characteristics is almost as good as its foreign analogues. As a result, I’m filling it up for the third time, during which time I’ve driven about 30 thousand km, that is, the replacement interval is 10 thousand. Naturally, I change it along with the oil filter. The oil pressure is normal, there is almost no waste, and volatility is minimal. In cold weather, synthetics do not thicken, unlike semi-synthetics and especially mineral water. But on the other hand, synthetics are more suitable for new cars. Mine still has 50 thousand on the odometer. As soon as it hits 100 thousand, you will probably have to switch to 10W-40.

Test results
At operating temperature the oil is quite liquid, closer to the lower limit of the standard. Fuel savings can be expected. Quite a good flash point and viscosity index, suitable for heavy loads. Alkali is quite a standard indicator, as for oil of this category, there is little acid, standard runs will go well and will not sag. But there is a lot of sulfate ash. A rather old additive package was used here; in fact, almost all oils with a tolerance of 229.3 are filled with such a package, but it fits into the standard for a full-ash tank. According to reviews, the oil does not leave behind critical traces in the engine. The pour point is quite standard and also within the normal range. There is a lot of sulfur, but for oils in this category the indicator is not surprising; calcium sulfonates were used here, which always produce high sulfur. But the additive package here is rich, there are a lot of anti-wear and detergent components, there is no molybdenum in the composition.

How to spot a fake
The most important thing that will help you distinguish a fake is the barcode. You can check it on the Internet. Incorrect code – 100% fake. But, alas, there are counterfeits with correct codes.
Also in the store you should pay attention to the appearance of the canister. Of course, it must be intact, with a tightly buried and sealed lid. White stripes, casting defects, and uneven seams may be visible on the plastic of counterfeit packaging.
The base of the original label is foil, while the fake one has something like double-sided tape. Under the lid there is a thick membrane that cannot be peeled off - you can only pierce it.
Verdict
Oils with an outdated package, imported competitors, and even Lukoil, are already switching to more modern additives that give reduced sulfur and ash values without a critical reduction in alkali. This oil can be used for old used engines, domestic and imported, and the price is quite reasonable, cheaper than some imported competitors with similar performance. It will go through a standard mileage normally, will not sag in terms of performance, and should also wash well. But keep in mind that the oil does not have official approvals from automakers, only compliance with them.
The best motor oil. does it exist?
Thanks to successful tests at the test site, as well as in laboratory conditions, the manufacturer was able to confirm the reliability of the oil regardless of the climatic and road situation. Thus, the oil has attracted the attention of large automakers, including Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Renault, Ford, General Motors, Fiat, Peugeot-Citroen, as well as domestic brands AvtoVAZ and UAZ. The presence of appropriate approvals guarantees optimal viscosity characteristics of the oil and effective detergent additives throughout the entire schedule (from replacement to replacement).
Oil labeled 10W-40 is all-season and universal in terms of compatibility with a wide range of temperatures. Thus, it is suitable for most climate regions around the world, given its adaptation to temperatures down to minus 25 degrees (indicated by the letter W and the number 10), as well as compatibility with temperatures up to 40 degrees above zero.
