Body, paintwork and trunk of Lada Largus

The body elements are made of such thin metal that in some places it can be bent only by simply leaning on it. Build quality often doesn't stand up to criticism, although it is gradually improving and may soon finally become acceptable. Most drivers complain online about large gaps, crooked joints and poorly closing doors.
The paint coating is average in thickness and durability, but many cars are so badly painted that the paint can fall off in chunks from the edges and sills. The huge size of the body causes high windage and poor visibility, and this is with large windows and mirrors. The high ground clearance of 160 mm and standard engine protection provide it with good cross-country ability.

The already huge car trunk of 560 liters can be made dimensionless 2350 liters by folding the rear seat. Even in the 7-seater version, there is still 135 liters of luggage space left. With the help of a limiter, the rear hinged doors open to an angle of 90 and 180 degrees. A fairly low loading height and convenient nets for small items complement the favorable impression of the practical and very spacious luggage compartment of this station wagon.

Interior, seats and sound insulation of the Largus model
The plastic in the cabin is hard and explosive, but it does not scratch as much as on other models. Only the steering wheel wears out relatively quickly. The seats are very hard and also creaky. Unsuccessful ergonomic solutions have moved here since the first Logan, for example, the power window keys are located directly on the front panel, the horn is on the steering column lever, and the heater control knobs are so low that you have to reach for them. And to this was added the inconvenient placement of seat belts for rear passengers.
The salon is simply huge, even a tall person can easily sit behind himself in all three rows of seats. The roof is so high that the engineers managed to hang a spacious shelf from the ceiling. Thanks to the large doors, access to the third row is fairly easy, and there's not only plenty of space, but also some amenities in the form of a cup holder, bottle holder, and additional vent windows. There is an expected downside to the large space; it won’t be possible to warm it up quickly in cold weather, especially for the rear of the car.
Expected restyling of Lada Largus
Restyling of the station wagon is planned for 2022. A photograph has been circulating on the Internet for several years now, in which you can see changes in the front of the car in the style of the Vesta model. The similar Dacia Logan MCV has long since changed generations and it looks completely different.

There is nothing complicated about servicing a budget Russian car. Standard scheduled maintenance is carried out every 15,000 km. For example, to replace brake linings on all four wheels of a car you need to spend no more than 1,000 rubles. Dynamics and consumption
The 2022 Lada Largus is equipped from the factory with two naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engines. The base is a 1.6-liter 8-valve power unit producing 90 hp. and 140 N*m of torque. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, which redirects power to the front wheels.
In addition to the fact that the power of this engine in the restyled model was increased, its dynamic characteristics also improved, and fuel consumption decreased. In order to accelerate the car from 0 to 100 km/h it now takes exactly 14 seconds instead of 14.4, as in the previous version. Moreover, the top speed has increased by 2 km/h and is now 160 km/h. And if the dynamic indicators were changed slightly, then the fuel consumption indicators decreased noticeably. Thus, the restyled model consumes 7.5 liters of AI-92 gasoline per 100 km. Let us recall that previously this figure was at around 8.2 liters per 100 km.
Another engine, also 1.6 liters, has sixteen valves, but with a power of 106 hp. and 148 Nm of torque, the domestic station wagon accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 13.5 seconds, the maximum speed of a car with this engine is 170 km/h. On average, this engine consumes 7.9 liters of gasoline per 100 km.
Problems with electrical and additional equipment Lada Largus
From its French ancestors, the station wagon inherited problems with poor contacts, so electrical failures are not at all uncommon here. It happens that the dashboard spontaneously lights up or, on the contrary, goes out, and the instrument readings themselves can suddenly disappear at one moment. Fuses often blow, it is advisable to carry spare ones with you.
Often the wires in the corrugation leading to the back door break here. Because of this, the wiper, heated glass, and brake lights stop working. Sometimes their functions simply change places; when braking, the heating light on the panel flashes, and when the wiper is turned on, the brake lights light up.

Suspension, brake and steering mechanisms of Largus
The front suspension of the car is MacPherson type with anti-roll bar, and the rear is an H-shaped beam with trailing arms. High energy intensity and long wheel travel have long been the hallmark of models built on the B0 platform; they don’t care about any potholes. In addition, roll and pitch are at an acceptable level here. Especially for high-load operation, these machines are equipped with reinforced springs.
Of the entire suspension, the ball joints have the least service life. When out of order, they give themselves away by constant tapping while moving. They wear out especially quickly in cars that constantly drive at or exceed the maximum permissible load. CV joint boots often break here. If you do not notice this, then soon you will hear a crunching sound when turning the steering wheel and you can slowly prepare to replace one or another entire drive.
Specifications
The technical part of the Lada Largus FL remained virtually unchanged. It can be noted that it was only slightly upgraded to 90 hp. 1.6-liter gasoline power unit of the VAZ-11182 series. But it is worth noting that its torque has not changed at all and is equal to 140 N*m. Another more powerful one is a sixteen-valve 1.6-liter gasoline engine. Its power is 106 hp. and 148 N*m of torque. Both engines interact with a five-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. It is also necessary to say that the fuel tank volume of the Russian station wagon is 50 liters.
Otherwise, the model continues the traditions of the well-known “Goose”. The front suspension here is completely independent and consists of MacPherson struts. Also located between the wheels at the front is a front anti-roll bar. Everything is standard at the rear - a semi-independent torsion beam provides good handling even with the station wagon fully loaded. It is worth noting that its maximum load capacity is 445 kg. The wheelbase length is 2,905 mm, and the body dimensions are 4,470x1,750x1,670 mm (length, width, height, respectively).
The vehicle's weight can be 1,260 kg with five seats and 1,370 kg if the optional third row of seats is installed in the cabin. Along with the weight, the volume of the luggage compartment also changes. So in 7-seater versions there is only 135 liters of usable space for storing cargo, but in the version with five seats this space is 560 liters. What's more, by folding both rows of rear seats down, you get an incredible 2,350 cubic liters of space to use as you please.
The ground clearance of the Lada Largus FL is 145 mm. This ground clearance height is enough for fairly comfortable movement both within the city and on light off-road countryside. The suspension of the 2022 Lada Largus was developed taking into account the road surface in Russia. It is soft, energy-intensive and extremely reliable. The simple design of the chassis made it possible to increase the service life of the suspension during vehicle operation in unsatisfactory road conditions.
