in September 2022. And now we have been driving it for 10 months. It's time to write a review about this car, its pros and cons. The mileage is currently 19,000 kilometers. Not a little, because we drive it 40 km to work every day. The overall impression of the car is good. She looks stylish. The latest model is made to look like a foreign car. It doesn't look big, it's neat, but the interior is quite spacious. The trunk is also roomy. The landing is normal, it drives freely on a country road. My husband is an avid fisherman, so we go fishing. My husband is happy)) Beautiful front view. The side mirrors have beautiful lacquered black frames.

additionally protected the body from corrosion and installed a radio – Car radio Pioneer MVH-08UBG – High-quality sound and design). I really like the seat belt height adjustment feature. Previously, on previous cars, the belt was always a little high and personally, the front passenger, got in the way. Now installed conveniently and comfortably. And, of course, air conditioning in the car! With our heat, driving without it was very hot, stuffy and difficult to endure. Now there is a very pleasant atmosphere in the cabin during trips. There were some downsides too. The lock on the glove compartment door inside the cabin is broken. Since the car is under warranty, we are trying to negotiate to have it replaced free of charge. At this stage this is the only negative so far. And I won’t lower my rating for it. We hope that in the future our Kalinka will not let us down and will make us happy)) We had a foreign car Ford, although not new. We were tired of buying expensive spare parts. There was our ten. It was easier with spare parts. Therefore, we decided to opt for a car from a Russian manufacturer, because you need a lot of money for a new good foreign car, but this car is more or less affordable and does not consume a lot of gasoline. Lada Kalina 2 station wagon in the back of a VAZ 2194 was assembled together with a hatchback from 2013 to 2022, until during restyling it was turned into one of the models of the updated Grant line. The car was offered in an impressive number of versions, including robotic and automatic.

Interior features of the new version
According to reviews from the owners of the 2022 Lada Kalina 2 Universal, the interior of the car came from the Lada Granta. It cannot boast of much space, but the presence of interesting original elements is even present here in abundance, unlike the Lada Kalina Cross 2022, judging by the reviews of the owners. Just pay attention to the front panel.

The quality of materials, of course, is not the best, but still decent. The driver's seat, which turned out to be hard and skinny, was a disappointment. There is no talk of any high lateral supports at all. They simply don't exist. On sharp turns there is a high probability of simply flying out of the seat.
I also want to note how cramped the back seat is. It is designed for three people, although even two will be cramped there. The back row is represented by one independent armchair and a sofa with two seats. They can be folded in a 60/40 ratio. The luggage compartment takes up 356 liters, which is not bad. Transforming the rear row seats of the new Lada Kalina 2022 will add an additional 315 liters.

Disadvantages, breakdowns and problems of Lada Kalina 2194
The paintwork is unstable, chips form quickly, but do not immediately turn yellow. The body holds up well, corrosion can only be seen in the arches or on the edges of the doors.
The interior of the car does not shine with the quality of materials and begins to creak from the first kilometers. There are also uncomfortable seats and poor sound insulation, and the windows do not roll down all the way.
Electrical failures occasionally occur, but much less frequently than with older VAZ models.
All Kalina units, the 8-valve VAZ 11186 and the 16-valve VAZ 21126 or VAZ 21127, are equipped with a lightweight Federal Mogul piston and bend the valves when the timing belt breaks. However, if you do not miss the belt wear or the pump wedge, then otherwise they are reliable. The most common concerns are sensor failures, a thermostat wedge, or leaks from under the valve covers.
The VAZ 2181 manual transmission with cable drive has proven itself better than the old VAZ gearbox. The box often howls, has a low synchronizer life, but in general it is quite reliable.
The car's suspension has proven itself well on our roads: it lasts a long time and is inexpensive. The first parts to go here are usually the stabilizer bars and rear wheel bearings.
The car's brakes are not bad, but the owners have complaints about the steering. The steering wheel is empty due to the strange operation of the electric power steering, and the driveshaft also has a low resource.
Gearboxes
The noisy five-speed manual VAZ-2181 runs its 150 thousand, despite leaks and rapid wear of the synchronizers. Its repairs are inexpensive and established at every corner.
Since 2015, Kalinas have been equipped with mechanical-based robots (AMT). It quickly became clear that clutches deteriorate en masse after 10–30 thousand kilometers. Modernization only partially solved the problem - the box remained twitchy and brittle.
Nissan's Jatco four-speed hydraulic automatic transmission is ancient and brooding, but has undergone several modernizations, is unpretentious and reliable. The resource costs 250 thousand.
