Lada Vesta is a new version of the class B subcompact car, production of which began 3 years ago. Domestic, French and Japanese specialists took part in its development. Car enthusiasts are offered 4 modifications: the Vesta Cross sedan, the Vesta SV station wagon, the Vesta SV Cross SUV and the Vesta SNZh dual-fuel vehicle. They can be purchased in 3 trim levels: Lada Vesta Classic, Comfort, Luxe. The color palette of the body is varied, which allows you to choose a car to suit every taste.
↑ All colors of Lada Vesta
The names of the body colors have a poetic connotation, which fuels buyers’ interest in the model.
Carnelian is a transparent stone from burgundy to pink. The car's carnelian paint job is a metallic red-pink color.
Angkor means Vesta's chocolate shade.
Metallic blue or blues. The rich color, close to cornflower blue, resembles a sea wave when reflected from the sun.
The intriguing name of the phantom car color matches its meaning. In dim lighting, the car has a dark gray color; in brighter light, it can change to dark brown and orange. This effect is achieved through the “chameleon” coating.
The krypton-colored body is a noble dark green metallic color, without the frivolous light green, flashy bright green shade.
A black car, the shade of which is called black pearl, is nobility and restraint.
- Platinum paint gives the car a more sophisticated look.
- Dark gray or pluto is a practical, non-staining color.
- The snow-white body is called glacial in the catalogue.
- Cars in the maximum configuration are produced in the lime color scheme. An unusual shade, reminiscent of the color of a similar fruit, emphasizes the body design.
Attention! In the future, AvtoVAZ plans to increase the number of color shades to 20.
About tire and wheel compatibility
If you decide to replace the standard wheels and tires on a Lada Vesta, then rely on the full diameter of the wheel. How to do this, using 185/60 R14 as an example:
- A disk with a diameter of 14″ is equal to 14 * 25.4 (1 inch = 2.54 cm) = 355.6 mm.
- The height of the tire profile is calculated as follows: 185*60/100=111 mm. Add up the rim diameter and two tire profile heights: 355.6 + 111 * 2 = 577.6 mm.
In order not to perform such calculations, we post a table of compatibility of tires and wheels for Lada Vesta (left for 195/55 R16, right for 185/65 R15):
Green indicates the minimum deviation of the wheel diameter (up to 3 mm); Orange indicates a diameter deviation from 3 to 6 mm.

When installing tires or wheels that differ in parameters
from those recommended by the factory, you can:
- be refused warranty repair of the chassis;
- be stopped by a traffic police inspector, who has the right to draw up a report on the car’s non-compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations;

↑ White Lada Vesta advantages and disadvantages
Lada Vesta white is the most popular model in Russia and abroad. The glacial color in combination with black contours and body parts, tinted windows, and bright red rear lights gives the car an elegant and sophisticated style.
White color is one of the cheapest in the car color scheme. Other advantages create a preference for this shade:
- body contamination is less noticeable;
- it is easier to touch up the damaged surface;
- the car stands out on the road in daylight and dark.
The peculiarity of a snow-white car on the road is its neutrality. It does not irritate the eyes and does not distract attention.
On a white body, traces of corrosion are more noticeable, which can be attributed to both disadvantages and advantages: it is cheaper and faster to deal with damage to the paintwork at the initial stage.
Lada Vesta is considered the most beautiful in the AvtoVAZ model range; the glacial version of the car has deserved increased attention.
While maintaining recognizable details, such as x-stamping and the shape of the headlights, the model has a strong individual design. Positive reviews were earned by the smoothness of closing and opening doors, stability and maneuverability on any road, spacious interior, trunk and glove compartment.

According to reviews from car owners, the disadvantages of the Lada Vesta are associated with such shortcomings as poor-quality gluing of plastic on the doors, rattling of the front mirror, inconvenient design of the cover in the engine compartment, lack of floor mats and fender liner protection. Complaints include the operation of the on-board computer, the multimedia system, the poorly thought-out design of the rear mudguards, the lack of smoothness in the robot's switching, and increased engine oil consumption.

↑ Painting features
The application technology and increased thickness of the paint coating by 25% allow the manufacturer to guarantee 6 years of corrosion-free driving.
The partially galvanized metal frame undergoes sandblasting and degreasing at the first stage.
Sequence of body painting operations:
- in a closed chamber, a layer of primer is applied by automatic spraying;
- drying in a drying chamber;
- application of enamel coating;
- drying;
- surface varnishing;
- control examination;
- manual correction of defects.
After this, the finished body enters the assembly line.
Dimensions of standard wheels
On the conveyor, Vesta is equipped with wheel rims of dimensions from R15 to R16 with a width of 5.5 to 6.5 inches. The ET offset is in the range of 40 - 50. As for the bolt pattern, it is the same for all modifications of the car - 4x100 mm. The diameter of the central hole for landing on the hub is 60.1 mm.
AvtoVAZ recommends using only original wheel models with standard dimensions for its cars. Otherwise, the plant does not guarantee the performance and safety of using such parts.
↑ Body care rules to maintain fresh color
To preserve the original snow-white color for a long time, several rules must be followed: avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, exposure to alkali and petroleum products, remove dirt, promptly identify pockets of corrosion and treat them.
Important! When washing, it is important not to use hot water, foam rubber or cloth; you must use a hose. You cannot wash your car in the cold, in the sun, or leave it to dry without wiping it dry.
Scratches and cracks are treated with anti-rust chemicals, then primed and painted over.
To restore the paintwork, polish is applied to the surface of the body once a month. The desired temperature is about 20 degrees.

Knowing certain parameters of tires and rims, the problems of replacing wheels on a Lada Vesta car can be avoided. The manufacturer allows the installation of a large number of dimensions within the wheel diameter R 15 - 17. Some even manage to fit 18-inch models into the car.

Yesterday, Thursday, we picked up our second Vesta from the salon - white! Why couldn't you do this right away? It's simple: on the 25th, the presentation of the car continued at the Lada Tekhinkom MKAD dealership 47 km, where we made the long-awaited purchase. But in addition, the finish line of a certain autoquest with the participation of West and another competitive event was scheduled there. It’s not just that during Vesta Night we were given the keys to our car by no less than Steve Mattin himself, the chief designer of AvtoVAZ and the author of Vesta’s appearance! And we didn’t even know in advance that Steve would be at the presentation at “our” dealership...
As a result, because of all these celebrations, the dealer was only able to actually start processing the car we purchased and prepare it for pre-sale only on Thursday.
The manager called before lunch. But we were able to drive up only after it was over (Moscow traffic jams can turn any trip around the city into a real journey, with a corresponding investment of time). Our white Vesta was already waiting in the delivery area. And - surprise! — it turned out not on the expected “stamping” with 15-inch wheels, but on the fashionable 16-inch casting. It’s good that we didn’t order winter tires in advance...
But the question arose of where to buy one. I didn’t want to take anything. But still, the dealer found a suitable option: winter friction tires Bridgestone Blizzak VRX, which we already tested last winter at Rapid. Their cost, of course, turned out to be slightly higher than in online stores. But there you still have to find the necessary tires and wait either for delivery or for the opportunity to pick them up. Moscow, of course, is not Siberia, but there weren’t any of us who liked to drive even for a day or two on summer tires at the end of November, so we decided to change our shoes on the spot.
By the way, a set of summer tires, and they turned out to be Matador Elite3, which have a fairly good rating according to reviews in our tire catalog, were able to fit in full in the trunk of Vesta. Not perfect, not without witchcraft with the layout of the installation, but they did it.
We also immediately purchased rugs - although they are an additional option, they are useful.
As a result, the cost of retrofitting the car amounted to 29,800 rubles. (tires, tire mounting and mats).
OSAGO insurance cost another almost 18 thousand. And this figure came as a slight shock. Yes, we took out a policy without restrictions on the number of drivers, and even with the Moscow territorial coefficient and without discounts for accident-free behavior (the car is new!). But last year, for the same price, it was possible to find a comprehensive insurance policy for a thrifty driver for a car of the same level. But since spring, as you know, compulsory motor liability insurance has become more expensive. And now we know for sure that significantly...
We left the dealer's salon in the evening, when it got dark. As in Krasnoyarsk, we were introduced to a personal manager (an employee of the car plant), who promised to answer questions about the car 24 hours a day. It’s only a pity that the previously promised five-year warranty for Vesta “did not work”: as our manager explained, the Renault Nissan alliance, which, as you know, owns the majority of AvtoVAZ shares, did not allow such a guarantee as being contrary to the alliance’s unified warranty policy. It's a pity. But now it’s definitely clear that foreign countries don’t care about us, and business is business...
By the way, in “our” DC we were the first to pick up our Vesta: all the other 15 cars from the first batch that arrived at the dealer were seen in full force in front of the car dealership, in the showroom and at the warehouse site. When we left, the odometer showed just over twenty kilometers. But now he is, of course, more...
Actually, that's all for now. At the time of publication of this post, we hope that we will be able to issue a comprehensive insurance policy (so far the prices for it are also not encouraging: in Moscow, even with restrictions on age and minimum experience of drivers, the cost of a policy without a franchise for our Vesta is about 70 thousand rubles). And I was able to sign up for car registration only on Sunday (what can I do: there is apparently a crisis outside, cars are being bought in batches, and there are queues at the traffic police because of this).
