- We disconnect the oil return hose from the automatic transmission, extend it with any suitable hose and lower it into a container for processing.

Open the hood and disconnect the battery. After this, remove the filter housing. To do this, disconnect the mass air flow sensor connector and the canister valve connector. The power cable tie will also need to be disconnected from the case.

- Pour 5 liters of oil through the hole in the dipstick. Excess liquid will come out through the hole at the bottom.
- Reinstall the air filter and dipstick. Start the engine.
- Over time, the excess will drain off.
- After the process is completed, tighten plug 2.
What oil to fill in the Lada Granta automatic transmission and how to replace it
If we consider the question of what is the best oil to fill in the automatic transmission of a Lada Granta automatic, it is best to follow the recommendations of the car manufacturer. They are listed in the manual. When adding oil to the level, you must use the same product that is already used in the transmission.

- Place the dipstick in place, start the engine, warm it up, press the brake, move the selector lever to position R, after a minute to position D, then return to neutral position (N). Stop the engine and check the oil level on the dipstick.
- If the level is normal, install the air filter, then drive 10-15 km (warm up the automatic transmission), then repeat checking the level using the dipstick on a warm automatic transmission.
Incomplete or partial replacement
- Remove the transmission dipstick.
- Assemble a structure from tubes with a diameter of 8 mm. Place your hand in the hole to add oil.
- Start draining the waste liquid into a specially prepared container.
- Be sure to measure the volume of drained oil.
- Take a funnel with a tube. Add oil.
- Put the dipstick back. Reassemble the remaining components.
After the operations, the new oil in the gearbox will be mixed with the old one. But this will happen only after at least 200 km. Partial replacement can be done again.
As already mentioned, there is nothing wrong with mixing automatic transmission oils. But it’s better not to carry out such experiments with the engine.
