Find the technological hole at the bottom, insert a screwdriver or any available object into it (however, if opening the machine is not so urgent, we recommend that you use special plastic spatulas so as not to scratch the paintwork of the handle or door). Remove the plug using a "pull" motion. Now you can use the spare blade to open the lock mechanism. The above method is used with a working battery.

In case the battery is discharged, there are two options. The first is to charge the battery. The second is to use the key to open any door except the driver’s door.

Where to get a spare key

Based on this, it is possible to do it yourself.

  • There are blanks available on the market. You need to know the car model, otherwise the board will not fit in size;
  • The second stage will be copying the tip. If excluding the fasteners from the body is not enough, the product itself is disassembled, and then the blade of the Lada Vesta ignition key is sharpened;

In general, after pressing the button, it will behave the same way, but if you keep the button pressed further, the central lock will lock the doors again and will not open them. But this case is not the worst, because as you already understood, with the help of a central lock, you can quite simply lock the car, but what to do if you need to close a vehicle with a dead battery? In this situation, the central locking is no longer our help, because it simply will not respond to the press of a button.

In order to close the car, you will have to resort to a little trick: open any passenger door and look at the locking mechanism, you will see a small cavity, which is indicated in photo “5” with a red arrow. If you insert any flat object into this cavity, such as a key or a screwdriver, and press this object down, as shown in photo “6”, the door will lock, after which all that remains is to slam this door and repeat these steps with the remaining passenger doors, and the driver’s The door can be closed the old fashioned way through the key holder.

How to lock a Lada Vesta with a key

You can't just lock a car with central locking using a key. The lock cylinder is located only on the driver's side, the remaining openings are closed centrally. You should be able to perform a simple manipulation, which we will describe below:

Open the driver's door; Find on the center console in the cabin a button with a picture of a door and a key (above the interior temperature controls); Press this key for five seconds (a single press will lock the doors for a short period of time due to the fact that the driver's door is open); Make sure that all doors are locked; Leave the car, close the driver's door mechanically. Stopping blinking is a sign of incorrect actions or breakdown. It may also indicate that the allotted time for training has been exceeded or that the key used was trained by another immobilizer.

Activating the immobilizer requires the following actions:

  • The doors are closed, the ignition is turned on with the red key and they wait for six seconds;
  • The key is pulled out, and the car icon on the panel begins to blink rapidly (five times per second);
  • Then, as quickly as possible (after a maximum of five seconds), the ignition is turned on with the black key;
  • Normally, three and then two squeaks will be heard, after which the ignition is turned off and the key is removed;
  • No later than five seconds later, the ignition is turned on with the red key;
  • When you hear three and then two squeaks, the ignition turns off, but the key is not removed from the lock;
  • After one squeak, the ignition is turned on again (again spending no more than five seconds on this) for two, maximum three seconds;
  • Then the ignition is turned off, but the key is not removed;
  • There are three beeps, the machine goes out, but you don’t need to remove the key right away; you need to take it out after ten seconds;
  • Check the activation of the immobilizer by turning on the ignition with any of the keys. Successful activation of the device will be indicated by a non-lit machine icon.

How to disassemble the Lada Vesta key - to replace the battery

The door control system requires energy to transmit a signal. The locking mechanism only needs a small amount of power, so the available charge of the included battery lasts for a long time. However, its resource is not eternal. When it is completely exhausted, an unpleasant situation may arise - you will not be able to open the car. It's better to avoid this.

A slow response to the command, in comparison with the normal operation of the unlocking remote device, indicates that the battery is about to discharge. Replacing the battery in the 2180 key fob occurs according to the following scenario:

  • Using the button, pull out the blade (if it is inside the case during disassembly, there is a high risk of damaging the board);
  • On the right side at the bottom of the plastic housing of the remote control, find a technological hole, insert a flat-head screwdriver (or other similar object) into it;
  • Fix the remote control with your hand, move the screwdriver down;
  • After the body begins to separate into two parts along the seam, carefully open the control panel;
  • Using tweezers (screwdrivers), hook the CR2032 battery;
  • Replace the dead battery;
  • Assemble the body - carefully snap it along the seam, starting from the side of the discarded tip.

To lock the locks of all doors from the passenger compartment, press the button on the instrument panel, the indicator on button 1 (Fig. 3) will light up for a while, then go off. If the hood, trunk or one of the doors was open when the button was pressed, the doors will unlock again. Close the doors, hood, trunk, press the lock button, all doors will be locked. The side door locks are unlocked when any front door is opened from the passenger compartment. To forcefully lock the doors, and arm them if any door is open, you need to press and hold the button for a while.
