Another feature of the model is that all modifications have ABS, but not all have a button to turn it off. In terms of general tuning, Vesta, like many other cars, gives you the opportunity to go wild. If you have the desire, time, opportunity and money, then you can radically change your car by performing the following operations:

  • installing linings, deflectors, racks, protection, spoilers;
  • carry out tuning of the power unit, interior, brakes, body, transmission, suspension;
  • replacing the seat upholstery
  • by reducing the brightness of the standard MMC backlight and so on.

But to start changing something, it’s worth figuring out whether there is any point in certain modifications. When working with a sedan, you can change its appearance by replacing the installed bumper with the Vesta Xmug model. From the front it will become more aggressive and sporty, this does not interfere with driving even on bad roads, so it is a practical and very interesting option. The cost of modification is about 5.5 thousand rubles. You can increase the practicality of a car with the help of yarplast type door sills, the cost of which starts from 650 rubles. But these are all fairly simple solutions. But more radical changes require a serious approach:

  • Door sill, bumper and external styling spoiler. The main changes here are only visual. The body kit costs adequate money, but you need to start with yarplasts. Installation of Xmug bumpers makes the appearance of the model even more interesting and vibrant.
  • Working with the salon. There are many more questions here than with appearance. Poor sound insulation and impractical materials constantly remind of themselves.   • Turbine. This cannot be done without technical improvements. Without such tuning, all changes will be incomplete. But it is important to remember that during modifications the machine may suffer a little, the warranty will be voided and reliability will be lost. In the “cross” version it is possible to increase the ground clearance. If 203 mm of ground clearance is not enough for you, then you need to make some minor modifications. You can install special spacers – metal plates – under the racks. This will give you a few extra centimeters. It should be noted that different spacers are used for the front and rear struts. You can also reduce the ground clearance using a shortened suspension, in which shock absorbers and springs have been developed. But you won’t be able to cut the springs yourself, since a different suspension design is used.

One of the most popular types of tuning is the development of the “brains” and the engine. Often, reflashing is resorted to due to many shortcomings in the program, however, in more recent models, many of them have been eliminated by the manufacturer. But even after reprogramming such cars, they drive completely differently. Replacing the manifold also helps improve performance. Instead of the standard one, a “spider” is installed, but the Euro compliance indicators drop from the fifth level to the second. In addition, ringing often occurs due to the thin metal of the part, so it is wrapped with thermal tape, but this does not completely solve the problem. Trunk lid trims

For the aesthetic component of the luggage compartment, I also purchased two plastic trims.

One of them is placed in the opening on the body reinforcement, the second - on the trunk lid. I can’t say that this metal body reinforcement irritated me very much, but personally it seems to me that it clearly stands out from the general concept of the trunk.

This neat overlay, in my opinion, is an excellent solution to the situation. Quite a different look, isn't it?

Another point relates to the trunk lid. I understand that there was most likely a question of saving money and materials. But the fact that one part of the lid is covered with upholstery and the other is not has always been a very controversial decision for me.

It looks somehow unfinished. Therefore, I think this trim is very useful for creating a visually completed image of the trunk lid.

In Tolyatti they assured that they would surprise with the organization of usable space - and now AvtoVAZ has revealed the dimensions of the trunk and announced modifications to the interior, prepared for the release of the station wagon.

As we expected, under the shelf there is the same 480 liters as in the sedan. However, there is a bonus - a double floor, the niche under which promises another 95 liters. That is, if you remove the flooring, there will be at least 575 liters, which is already more interesting.

And if you fold the back seat, you get a cargo compartment of 825 liters. True, take a look at its floor: this, alas, is not a flat platform, but a three-stage cascade of the threshold, the “crater” of the trunk and the slope of the piled-up backrest. Men won't understand.

But there is a life hack: the organizer that marketers placed under the first floor level can save you.

The containers can also be taken out for washing or storing in the garage.

But if you place them in the trunk on top of each other, then they form a platform at the same level as the threshold and the back of the sofa - this way you can carry fragile long items without worrying that they will bend or break.

Vesta is much better suited for smaller loads.

On the plastic sides of the trunk there are four hooks for packages, on the right there is a hiding place for tools, on the left there is a pocket for Russian folk containers, a five-liter bottle! Plus a soft curtain that can be removed and easily fits across the compartment, plus three utility nets that will be included as standard equipment. The tailgate has an external lock button and two internal handles. There is no electric door drive yet, but it looks like it will appear in the future.

The heating of the front seats has been improved: now it is three-stage, and a small box-armrest has appeared between the seats themselves.

All this is a kind of work on mistakes that grow from the hasty launch of Vesta, because most of the current innovations were included in the design from the very beginning, but in order to reduce the cost of the car they were abandoned shortly before the start of production.

Steve Mattin’s team developed not only a “signature” color (red metallic Mars) especially for the Cross-wagon, but also an additional palette of decorative trims in the interior. The seat and door inserts can be either orange or grey.

But the basic Vesta station wagon will not differ from the sedan in decoration.
