I was waiting for this particular car to come out. I considered other options, but still settled on X-Ray Cross. Before purchasing, I had to ride a regular X-Ray, so in some places I will compare these two models. I would like to note right away that in this version the designers have eliminated many of the shortcomings.

Many parameters in the car have been improved and changed. Among them is improved sound insulation of the cabin, and the new Lada Drive Select system, which allows you to select off-road driving modes, is encouraging.

I decided to write about my husband’s car.

I really like the look.

Three years ago we thought that my husband needed to change his typewriter. But they didn’t take the second Creta. And, of course, they still wanted a crossover. Their prices are quite steep. My husband read a lot of different articles, considered different options, BUT suddenly he started talking about X-ray cross. And we went to the salon to see what kind of miracle this X-ray is. I read different reviews, I won’t say that there were many negative ones. The reviews were quite decent. In general, people praised their cars and almost everyone was happy with their purchase. They wrote about minor problems with oil consumption, but this is the case with the first cars. In our version, this problem has already been removed.

To tell you the truth, my husband and I didn’t really agree on the choice, but let him choose the ride. We are also different in taste and color. But inside, after sitting in the car, I was satisfied. A very nice body that reminded me of another brand, but oh well.

Tall, stylish car. True, the interior of the car was a little cramped for me. I attributed this, of course, to my figure. My husband took it for a test drive and liked the car. We decided to think for a week and look at other options. And then they decided that it seemed to cost up to a million, 1.8 engine, gasoline, manual. Lots of things for comfort and safety. In general, my husband chose this car.

Of course, we must also add that it was in December. This is a gift for yourself for the New Year. I really liked my choice of color - gray basalt. Rear windows are tinted, trunk and plus winter tires as a gift. Additional equipment (you can’t go anywhere without it) included crankcase protection and a towbar. Pick up the car on December 28th. I think we’ve learned how to make our own cars and how to service them. Still, we are moving forward, trying and improving. But now, in addition to positive emotions, negative ones began to appear.

The first thing that really upset us was the waiting time for our Cross. The agreed time was 16-00. Since they also had to prepare the car and we had time to get the license plates. As a result, we received it almost at 20-00. And of course we didn’t have time to get the numbers that evening. Some will say nonsense, but this is not the first time we have bought a car from the dealership. There has never been such an expectation. Well, yes, God bless them. They put summer tires in our car, since they immediately changed to winter tires. At our request, of course. My husband checked the car for the body and everything else, thanked the people for their help and we went to the paid parking lot.

The next day, with new numbers, we were already flying to the dacha to prepare for the New Year. And I can’t say that I didn’t like the car. On our country road, I took turns very confidently. And to be honest, I was impressed. I even thought, a sinful thing, that I need to take the toy away from my husband) Still, it’s 1.8 liters, brand new. In short, my Cretta is not like that in these conditions. Here it was faster and more confident on the winter road. I was even a little surprised that ours could do a good thing.

At the dacha we realized that the car dealership employees only gave us three wheels; they still had the fourth. I had to call them, make arrangements, and so on. So, after the holidays we went to write a statement. They gave away the wheel. It seems like a small thing, but again it became unpleasant inside, a sediment appeared. I sit and think, how is it possible with such a service? At one time we bought something from China, but the service there was completely different. Well, in general, a sediment appeared.

We had zero and first maintenance, also in winter. We travel a lot and often. Maybe that’s why we started hearing knocking in the spring. I would even say grinding. It's like something is rusty and not lubricated. We signed up for diagnostics. Poor-quality transverse thrust reaction blocks were identified. That one, I could be wrong with the name))) Still, I’m not a man, not a man. They need to be changed. Instead of replacing it, they lubricated it. Enough for three months, again to the salon for lubrication.

And on the third maintenance, they were told that the sound appeared again. The foreman, with a mount in his hands, sprayed something from a spray can somewhere. And hallelujah - still hasn’t appeared, silence.

What else did we have? Based on a recall from the factory, they replaced the crosspiece on the tie rod free of charge. Yes, it's free, but it's a waste of time. But here, as they say, thank you for replacing it.

The pads were changed at 60 thousand, oil and consumables were changed every seven to eight thousand. Consumption on the highway in our car is 7.2 liters. In the city - 8.2 liters. I would like it to be smaller.

The most expensive thing is the wheels. Only my husband knows how much money was spent on fixing the disks. Low profile rubber. Of course it looks beautiful. But you can probably only drive it around the city, and even then, not in all areas. Rails, speed bumps or just a hole - even trouble didn’t notice. And believe me, my husband is not a racer, but a professional driver with more than 30 years of experience. Well, that is, he was taught back in the days when drivers were pros.

And yes, in my opinion, a terrible radio tape recorder. Somehow everything goes through the wrong place, like on other machines. For example, I sit down in mine and the speakerphone immediately turns on. It's different here. I'm not even talking about design. But that’s already it, just music)

Brief MY summary. AvtoVAZ is AvtoVAZ. There are many advantages, as well as disadvantages, and it is not worth the money. Discs and wheels are for antlers, or for smooth city roads. On the highway it goes confidently, if, again, the road is smooth. Shumka, one might say - no, they forgot about her. Now we have 64 thousand miles. The car became a rattle. My personal impression. I only get behind the wheel of this car when absolutely necessary. And also, I noticed, but this is feminine, apparently they “don’t like” the car on the road. It’s purely psychologically difficult. Every Lada Vesta will definitely overtake and stand in front of you. This is for example. In general terms, it seems that everyone on the road is proving to me that what I have acquired is not exactly candy. I drive Crete every day and have no such impressions. And even another X-ray Cross will definitely show off its awesomeness on the track. Well, God be with them. Everyone in this life wants to be significant. I always follow the three D rule, so I’d rather let anyone in a hurry pass. I'm never late for anything. Because I always leave earlier than required.

Will I recommend this car to my friends and acquaintances? Probably not. For this money you can buy a more reliable car. But, if you want a good option for a new crossover, then this one is quite suitable. Because I think finding a good option on the secondary market is like a 100,000 to one lottery. As a rule, everyone now buys a car for three or five years and sells it. And of course no one will think about the next owner. It’s easy to return to the dealership, you even get discounts on a new car. And judging by the racers in the city, no one spares the cars. Not all of course, but the majority. They used to be afraid that something would happen to the car. And now... You walk around the yard and almost every first one has scratches and abrasions. Everyone has insurance. Twenty years ago I cried when a stone caught my hood on the highway. And there was a small dent.

And there is practically nothing from Lada, X-ray. Think for yourself, decide for yourself - to have it or not to have it. Well, while we are driving, there are no plans to change it to something else yet. And my husband and I decided that this was our last attempt to buy a domestic car. It's better to be Korean. Well, or something else, I don’t know. Let's wait and see, as my husband says.
