  • Lada Priora "luxury"

    Not so long ago, Priora was released in a luxury configuration. In addition to the “norm” configuration, these cars received:

    • heated front seats;
    • passenger airbag;
    • anti-lock braking system;
    • front fog lights;
    • electric rear door windows;
    • front seat belt force restrictions;
    • doors and seats are upholstered in velvet in a wide range of colors;
    • pretensioning mechanisms;
    • central interior lighting lamp;
    • Illumination of open doors and much more appeared on the front door trims.

    Options and price of Lada Priora sedan

    Today, the most affordable Lada Priora has a price of 364,700 rubles . This is a sedan in the “norm” configuration5 with a 16-valve engine producing 98 hp. and mechanical transmission. This configuration already includes a driver's airbag, immobilizer, ABS, power steering, tilt-adjustable steering column, and power windows for the front doors. The wheels are 14 inch rollers on steel rims.

    The most interesting thing is that due to the transition from the old version of the Priora to the restyled one, the car has two main configurations: the average “standard” and the top-end “luxury”, but the “standard” configuration is not yet available. There are ten versions of the sedan offered by AvtoVAZ in total. It is worth noting that some of the cars are pre-styling Priors.

    As for the luxury version of the Lada Priora, the most expensive “luxury” package6) will cost 459,700 rubles. Thus, the price of the most expensive and cheapest version of Lada Priora has a difference of almost one hundred thousand rubles. What is included in the most expensive equipment of the Lada Priora? Front and side airbags, fog lights, ABS and BAS brake systems, ESC stability control system, electric power steering, heated front seats. The interior has a full set of power windows, parking sensors, cruise control, climate control, and a multimedia system with a monitor in the center console. The wheels are alloy wheels of the same size, 14 inches. Naturally, a full-size spare tire is included.

    Lada (VAZ) Priora, 2011 - owner review. Lada Priora

    I will write a review by date as a diary December 19, 2011

    Well, the numbers on the odometer of my car have reached the 10,000 km mark. And something inspired me to write a short report on the operation of this vehicle, fortunately there is something to compare with; for the last seven years I drove foreign cars (right-hand drive) before I switched to a Priora. I’m writing everything as it is, there is no background (guys, Priorovods, forgive me and don’t beat me if it’s a hundred). Well, let's start with the car, it was purchased in cash in May 2011, the simplest configuration is “norm” without Conder and other paraphernalia of “bourgeois” life. The car was purchased in Yekaterinburg, since it was not available in Tyumen and we had to wait up to two months. Let me tell you, at the Tyumen car dealerships, there are no auto sales managers there, they can’t say anything useful, much less explain (they only learned the difference in configurations and prices), a small request is to learn the “equipment parts”. In Yekaterinburg, things are a little better (at least they know how the electronic gas pedal differs from the cable). We come, we buy, we go. Everything is fine, I’ll tell you straight away that the speedometer readings are off by about 10 km/h on the higher side. My first feeling after the Toyota, well, it seems that not everything is as bad as they say, it drives well, absorbs bumps and unevenness in the road perfectly. But the engine starts to be heard in the cabin when the tachometer needle approaches 3000 rpm, which is a little annoying. We leave for the “coolest” section Tyumen-Ekat and then I understand that there is no sound insulation at all, everything is like in an iron barrel, well, in principle, I was not upset, I knew what I was getting into. We arrived safely to the glorious city of Tyumen, in the evening friends came to supposedly wash the car, and when they saw the Priora in my garage, they were more than shocked, until the last they thought that I was joking that I went to Ekat just for it. Well, we're used to it! First of all, after I got the license plates, I immediately went to reflash the car; I didn’t like the way it drove, not so much in terms of dynamics, but specifically in the engine’s performance. I repaired it, changed the original spark plugs, it became better, the speed stopped freezing. About a week passed, I heard something knocking in the engine, or rather in the engine compartment, I listened and couldn’t understand. I think that I’m worried about the car, then I’ll go to AvtoVAZ for warranty and let them look at it. I arrived, the warranty manager came out and looked, when he found out that I bought the car in Ekata, it immediately began to “look” not very good, I drove onto the lift, but it turned out to be a generator belt pulley, it took three hours to change! Then it was lunch, then I went to the warehouse to look. Business there for 15 minutes. Okay, they changed it, thank God! But I decided for myself that I definitely wouldn’t set foot there anymore. Over the weekend I bought more beer, guerlain, STP and the car started making noise, it took about two days to do everything except the floor. I felt the difference immediately. After 2000 km, I changed the engine oil and filled the gearbox with Motul everywhere. I installed a short-throw gear shifter, since the original one didn’t suit me at all; the shifting stroke was like on an old bus. I’ll say right away about the gearbox itself, an ordinary old “nine-speed” one, with the same noise level and shift clarity, with incorrectly selected rows and the main pair. Nothing has changed for many years, at least it feels like it. The car's suspension is moderately soft and less energy-intensive, but for those who like faster and more aggressive driving, it is better to install harder shock absorbers, the car rolls very much in corners, the seats completely lack any lateral support, so there is a chance of flying off it during a strong turn. The interior of the car is devoid of any frills, but I will say that the plastic from which the instrument panel is made is not much inferior in quality to budget foreign cars, almost the same. It’s very inconvenient, at least for me it’s the head light switch (it could have been done on the steering column switch, it would have been much more convenient). Getting in and out of the car is the same as in cars of this class; for me personally, without difficulty. I was also very “surprised” by the in-cabin filter, namely its location, from the beginning it was funny, how it became a change was no time for jokes, all the dirt and water that there is gets on it and then it gets wet (you have to hammer a nail into the head of the designer who came up with place for a filter). It’s better to replace the “original” pads immediately; they creak terribly. The Priora's headlights are good, I can see everything even with standard bulbs. I liked the engine, it’s very torquey, even from the bottom, I also really like the power steering (no worse than on Toyota). Let many people say that the Priora is an ordinary basin that breaks down, all cars break down. Yes, this is not a foreign car, the Priora was 20 years behind in its production, but at least this is at least some kind of shift for the better on the part of AvtoVAZ. We are all accustomed to the fact that basins break more often, but they do break old ones, which are already more than five to ten years old. So far, in the 10,000 km that my car has traveled, there have been no breakdowns. I don't know what will happen next. I can also say one thing that I will not buy the next car, a Priora or any domestic one, at this stage of my life I need comfort and safety, according to these criteria the Priora loses to foreign cars. While I’m using the Priora, I’ll write here about all its breakdowns. (Now kick me)

    December 26, 2011

    Today it started to break through the right pillar, and when the car is with a passenger, then everything is fine, if I am driving alone (as is usually the case), then when passing a speed bump, a knock is heard. I won’t change anything for now, because I looked and the shock absorber doesn’t work, it should be over for the winter. Also, the cigarette lighter socket broke, the contact was lost, I looked, it needs to be changed, the entire “socket” was killed by a Chinese phone charger, basically my fault

    January 22, 2012

    It’s not very often that I rather don’t drive on the highway at all, and then one day I had to. It was on Monday when the frost hit and the children did not go to school. My brother asked me to take him to Kurgan and back for work, I’ll say right away that my brother is a very big “uncle”, height 198 and weight 120 kilograms, he couldn’t fit into the front seat, it was very uncomfortable for him and he sat back, moving the front seat all the way. The temperature outside is -25 and we are driving, which means everything is fine, my brother Finak has 35 and he is a hater of the domestic auto industry. We passed Chervishego and he told me that you turn on the stove, I said that it was on and I was warm, he said that he was cold as a “dog” at first I didn’t understand, of course, but then I was convinced that it was really blowing from the back doors as if The door is not completely closed, there is no airtightness, the north is terrible. In principle, nothing surprising, “but” it was somehow annoying, I myself have never ridden as a passenger in the back, well, I received a first-hand comment, so to speak. When we stopped for coffee, my brother moved forward and cursed the domestic auto industry all the way. But there are also positive qualities: when he found out how much gas, and therefore the money, this trip cost us, he smiled and said that there was at least one plus in the car in comparison with his Finak

    May 5, 2012

    Well, my car has covered 15,000 km, it seems like nothing serious has happened yet! But there are small nuances, the bearing on the input shaft in the box will soon need to be replaced, and perhaps the clutch along with the basket and releaser (I think it’s a factory defect), in general, I didn’t like the box initially and that’s how it turned out. Now both struts are knocking, the rubber bands on the rear struts are creaking, it feels like you’re riding a cart (they stopped lubricating it with the Vedashka). Well, the thing that surprised me is that the whole engine is snotty, oil stains are visible everywhere, I don’t understand how this can happen on a new car! I would like to say something about the car seats, I recently drove a decent distance, everything went numb, I had to stop three times

    (And then I had to change my job to a more traveling and better paid one, now

    My mileage per month can reach 8 thousand km. And my opinion about the car has improved!)

    April 27, 2013

    Well, guys, the odometer of my car has approached the 75 thousand mark, which I can say for those kilometers that we spent together with my Priorka (it was the Priorka that my opinion about this car has changed for the better since the moment of purchase, now it is the Priorka for me) I can’t dare to call it anything else, during the operation of the car it never let me down, it started at -35 without heating every day, consumed little fuel and paradoxically IT DIDN’T BREAK (ugh, ugh, ugh) except for consumables, I didn’t change ANYTHING. In the Priora, I picked up my beloved wife and daughter from the orphanage, this car on which I work every day and it feeds me and my family (not a taxi), the car has truly become dear to our family, I can’t call it anything else, it’s my Priorka. Having recently changed the pump and timing belt, I inspected the entire suspension, everything was fine, the pump did not run, the belt also could not be changed, I did this for prevention. All my friends drive foreign cars, and I have a second car in Megan’s family, everyone is surprised why I haven’t changed a car that will soon be two years old, and you know guys, there’s nothing to change for, with today’s prices I’m just not ready for this, I don’t like Solaris and other canned goods. There’s no money for Starex (I never take out loans, it’s evil). After thinking about it, I decided to drive my Priorka for another year. I can tell Prior owners to treat the car well, don’t rev the engine and think that this is some kind of “race” and the car will reciprocate your feelings.

    March 11, 2014

    Well, there are already 170 thousand kilometers on the odometer. What has been done, but absolutely nothing for such a mileage. Another replacement of the timing belt and pump, well, all the stoics are asking for a replacement, and well, there was also a replacement of the left wheel bearing and a replacement of the thermostat. Closer to summer I plan to change the clutch, it’s still original

    PS Thanks for your attention! Good luck on the roads!
