A tight gap between the piston and cylinder is necessary for better compression. Naturally, without oil, such an engine will seize. But you can open up this gap, let the sand leak at the bottom of the jar, and then the engine will run without oil, without a sump, forever, on the stand. These to... for their three kopecks of benefit, they cause damage worth a million, in other people's cars. In a worn-out engine, the supertek probably actually retains metal sludge soaked in oil in these gaps, so compression is restored, but still not for long.
