Finally got around to writing an entry in the logbook! In this post I will write about installing rear disc brakes based on LUCAS. Actually, my installation manual, which I did not find in the box with the ZDT. Go!
1. Remove the wheel and drum brakes (you can easily find instructions on the Internet).
2. Using a wrench and a hydraulic jack, I unscrewed the hub nut (otherwise I couldn’t, because it was sitting tightly). 3. Thanks to the puller, I dismantled the hub. 4. Remove the handbrake cable. 5. Unscrew the drum brake mounting bolts and remove the shoe springs. 6. To remove the ABS sensor, a TORX socket is required. It turned out something like this. 7. Next, install and twist the components in the following order: hub bushing, protective plate, HA plate. 8. Install the ABS sensor.
The sensor had to be installed through several washers, because
the sensor body (approximately 1 mm) rubbed against the hub. 9. Secure the handbrake cable through the brackets included in the kit (having previously removed the car from the handbrake). 10. Install the “eye” of the handbrake cable.
Please note that if you cannot insert the “eye” of the handbrake cable, you do not need to loosen the handbrake using the adjusting nuts, just unscrew the bolt on the caliper (which secures the leg and move it a little closer).
11. Screw on the caliper bracket.
I had to play tricks here
