It is no secret that the LADA brand will soon technically cooperate very closely with Renault, or more precisely with the Romanian brand Dacia, which belongs to the concern, as a result of which some models of both brands will become a kind of “twins” with the same technology and equipment. The 2022 Lada Vesta is the first example of such collaboration, which explains the appearance of optics and interior elements from Renault Logan and Arkana in the restyled version.
At the same time, the Lada Vesta FL (FL means facelifting) will most likely become the last version of Vesta, since AVTOVAZ and Dacia, which will soon form a full-fledged alliance, plan to completely stop producing this model by 2025.
Lada Vesta FL: sales start
The date of March 1, when the conveyor assembly of serial Lada Vesta FL 2022 should begin, was designated by the manufacturer a long time ago. Dealers also continue to focus on it, having already set quotas for new cars that should arrive in showrooms in April.
However, the latest news hints at possible delays: at the Izhevsk plant they are talking about problems with the supply of electric chips, which could force AvtoVAZ to postpone the release of new cars. At the same time, the company has already begun assembling the first pilot batches: 8 cars rolled off the assembly line - sedans and station wagons Lada Vesta FL and Vesta FL SW in the maximum configuration. Thus, the manufacturer is trying to fully debug all technological processes, and after the first pilot batch, at least one more is planned - for 6 cars.

The restyled Lada Vesta 2022 model year will feature different bumpers, front fenders and a new X-face design on the front end. The optics should become completely LED, and the headlights may noticeably decrease in size.
It is still unknown what the rear lights will be like, since in all the spy shots there are “makeshift” ones in their places. Everything else, including the body profile and its varieties - sedan, station wagon and cross-version - will remain the same, as will the wheelbase. Also, the branded X-stampings will remain on the sidewalls, but from the side the car will look noticeably fresher due to completely new rims.

There are great expectations associated with the interior of the Lada Vesta 2022 model year, since, according to rumors, a completely new front panel with a central touchscreen in the form of a large tablet will appear inside the car.
The manufacturer also promises to completely replace door cards, seat upholstery and even the steering wheel. Vesta FL can also get an electronic handbrake instead of a regular one, which will allow the classic handle to be removed from the central tunnel, replacing it with a regular button. As for the tidy, it will remain analog with a trip computer display between the “wells”.
What does the appearance of the new Lada Vesta promise to please?
The excellent appearance of the Station wagon modification is ensured, first of all, by the solid dimensions of the body: the standard size is 4.4x1.7x1.5 meters, and models with a wide wheelbase have a width of 2.6 m. These dimensions are not the final option, because from the first to Manufacturers still have a lot of time for subsequent test drives of this car, and everything can still change during production.
In any case, even if the Cross body parameters change downward, car enthusiasts will still receive a model with excellent stability on Russian roads and a fairly spacious interior.
The appearance of the vehicle itself also changes greatly. The new Cross modification will have a completely new and previously unused corporate design. Lada Enjoy Pro: details about the new multimedia system
From April 2022 on the Lada Vesta, XRAY and XRAY Cross models, and from May also on the Granta, AvtoVAZ began installing the new EnjoY Pro media system. In the case of Granta, a modern multimedia complex is provided only by the most expensive trim levels and special versions, on Vesta - starting with the Winter package, on Xray - with the Prestige package. At AvtoVAZ itself, the system has already been called an analogue of a powerful smartphone, which will offer wide functionality and control via a new 9-inch touch display
The Lada EnjoY Pro system is a device with a touchscreen running on an IPS matrix (1280x720 pix), equipped with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules, and also supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Yandex.Auto interfaces. The latter provides access to all applications, including Navigator, Alice, Gas Stations and Music, in which you can work, including from your Yandex account.
This multimedia system will be able to play mp3, wav, aac and flac files, and 6 speakers will broadcast sound. According to the creators of the complex, the acoustics will be able to work using surround sound technology, and each car model uses its own sound settings, based on the size and layout of the cabin. Through the EnjoY Pro display you will also be able to watch videos and display a “picture” from the rear view camera, supplemented with appropriate dynamic markings.

The system will be controlled using voice commands and buttons on the steering wheel. The developers promise good performance of the device, since the Android 9 OS will be responsible for this. The loading process of the operating system will begin immediately after the doors are unlocked, so that by the time the ignition is turned on, the complex will be in working order. The same principle is used to turn off EnjoY Pro: it occurs automatically after the driver starts to open the door with the engine off.
Yandex specialists took an active part in creating a multimedia system for Lada cars. They also promised expanded functionality and regular software updates that could be done over the air. By the way, the first users of EnjoY Pro have already noted the high speed of the applications, but so far the only criticism has been the foreign words on the multimedia buttons.
How did the interior design of the Lada Vesta change?
The interior decoration of the Station Wagon model uses the same classic materials and colors as in the style of the Lada Vesta sedan. In the center of the dashboard there is a steering wheel with the main functions - a button for controlling switching multimedia files, machine performance indicators and the current operation of the on-board computer.

After the release date of the Cross model, the company's president promised to change the selection of color shades inside the cabin, making it more original than the version presented at the time of release. Also, drivers and passengers will have comfortable seats and special types of combined inserts. For passengers, an additional dimensional monitor with a large screen and enormous capabilities for customizing file playback will be installed. In terms of technology, the 2022 Lada Vesta will remain the same: it will continue to be equipped with VAZ engines of 1.6 (106 hp) and 1.8 (122 hp) liters, as well as a 1.6-liter 133-horsepower Renault-Nissan engine.
The first two will continue to be powered by a manual transmission, while the foreign engine will be powered by a Jatco CVT. Perhaps the line of modifications of the new Lada Vesta FL will remain a sports version with a forced 1.8-liter engine (145 hp), as well as cross-versions with a plastic body kit and increased ground clearance, which are in good demand.
Interior elements
The interior design of the Lada Vesta Cross was also quite advanced for the factory. The instrument panel is made in the form of “wells” for the speedometer and tachometer, the center console is stylistically thought out and is equipped with a 7-inch diagonal TV screen, a multimedia complex and a climate control panel.
The seats are styled like a standard SUV with colorful appliqués interspersed throughout.
The trunk volume in the future production model will most likely not exceed 500 liters, and the decorative elements - underground, rails and curtains - present in the conceptual version are unlikely to be present in the production version, with the possible exception of the luxury version.
Start of sales and start of mass production
The current version of Lada Vesta is sold at a price of 783,900 thousand rubles (Classic equipment). The most expensive modification (Exclusive) already exceeds a million, and there is every reason to believe that the restyled car will definitely increase its price significantly. You will have to wait for the new product at least until the end of 2022.
According to available information, the Izhevsk Automobile Plant has already begun preparing a new assembly line, which will engage in serial production of the 2022 Lada Vesta. The official presentation of the restyling should take place right before the start of sales, where, possibly, new prices will be announced.
What release dates does the concern promise?
The manufacturer planned to launch serial production of Lada Vesta in two new bodies on August 10-15, 2016. However, in the end, this release date was postponed until November. At the same time, this sample of the new Vesta should appear on the market no earlier than the spring of next year - the plant needs time to rebuild the assembly process and manufacture new components. In any case, the approach that VAZ has been demonstrating lately towards its new products is encouraging - the new modifications should show their best sides, since the Station Wagon model has already appeared at shows in Moscow and has many flattering reviews from experts after a few test drives .
