A significant advantage follows from its simplicity - it is reliable and unpretentious, there is nothing to break in it.

The VAZ-2181 gearbox with cable-driven gear shift is also a reliable unit. Apart from noise during acceleration, it does not cause any problems in operation.
Attachable units: generator, starter are installed from foreign manufacturers. The defect rate for them is almost zero. In general, speaking in terms of defects, the Lada Granta quite reasonably falls under the definition of a reliable car. The percentage of factory defects and warranty visits to the dealer has become very small.
Regarding the hood stop, which many people condemn. I was extremely surprised when one of my friends saw exactly the same hood stop on a new Toyota Corolla, which cost him 1.7 million rubles. I was even more surprised that there was no sound insulation on the hood, there was just bare metal. Therefore, on the Lada Grant, which is 4 times cheaper, not everything is so bad.
Rear end
The rear is distinguished by the absence of parking sensors and the lower bumper insert painted in body color, rather than black.
Since the new Grants have removed the lock cylinder from the trunk lid, and in the cheapest Standard configuration there is no button under the trim, the lock can only be opened with a button from the passenger compartment. There is no padding on the inside of the trunk lid - bare metal.
But on the right there is a small handle for closing the lid. The luggage compartment has something to praise for - its volume is a record for its class of 520 liters. This is 40 liters more than Vesta.
If you recline the rear seat, it increases to 815 liters. Under the floor is a full-size spare tire and road tools.
Side view
The side of the car differs from more expensive trim levels in the absence of moldings. The mirrors and door handles are black. Since the mirrors here are the simplest, they do not have turn signals. They are installed in the front fenders the old fashioned way.
This configuration comes with 14-inch steel wheels. The tires used are Belshina with dimensions 175 by 65 R14.
The front wheel arches have soft fender liners made of non-woven material, which performs well. They effectively absorb sandblasting and gravel impacts. This reduces the noise level inside the car.
The car comes with front wheel mudguards from the factory. But they saved money on the rear arches - there are no fender liners, and you will have to buy additional rear mudguards. The Granta has a large ground clearance - 160 mm. For comparison, for a regular Lada Vesta it is 178 mm.
Salon
The door trims are made without unnecessary frills, all in a black base color.
The seats are ordinary, not combined, but comfortable. They are moderately soft and dense with lateral support. On long trips the seats do not tire you out.
Since the equipment is as “low-fat” as possible, simple mechanisms prevail everywhere. Honest mechanical windows, mirror adjustment levers. Steering without electric power steering. The steering wheel is equipped with an airbag and does not have tilt adjustment.
The ignition key is simple. A standard immobilizer is installed, so there are 2 ignition keys.

Try to store it separately so as not to lose it, otherwise there will be difficulties. The equipment is very simple, so it is easier to say what is there than what is not. Only the most necessary controls are present. If you want to install a radio, you can use the audio preparation that comes from the factory.
Wires are routed to the center console and to the front door speakers. Instead of seat heating buttons, we see plugs. There is only one rear window defroster button on the console.
There is a 12-volt socket at the bottom of the cigarette lighter. Heater control module, interior air damper recirculation, space for a radio, niche for small items. Above are the air nozzles and a glove box with a decorative lid.
In the ceiling there is a lampshade with an Era Glonass unit.
