Automobile: Lada Largus. Asks: Valeria Perediy. Question: I just can’t choose between the regular version of the Lada Largus and the cross version!
Hello. I was thinking about buying a car and decided to go with a domestic one, after all, at such prices it’s difficult to buy a new foreign car, and even if repairs are needed, ours is cheaper. I'm thinking about Lada Largus or Lada Largus Cross, I can't decide which is better?
What is the main difference? I will drive mainly around the city, sometimes on federal highways. Can you help me decide?
Since its appearance on the Russian automobile market, the Largus crossover has undergone some changes. It is also different from the usual Largus. True, these differences are minimal, but they still exist.
Real fuel consumption
In practice, the fuel consumption of LADA Largus can significantly exceed standard values. This is largely due to:
- engine run-in mode;
- aggressive driving style associated with frequent braking and acceleration;
- the use of various types of installed electrical equipment, especially air conditioning, during the operation of which fuel consumption increases by approximately 1 l/100 km;
- engine malfunction;
- poor quality fuel;
- operation of the car in the cold season.
There are a number of other, seemingly insignificant factors that increase fuel consumption during operation of the LADA Largus.
How fuel consumption changes during a real trip in a LADA Largus car can be seen in the video:
In addition, the gasoline consumption of LADA Largus strongly depends on its driving mode in the traffic on the road.
Gasoline consumption on the highway
In order to determine the real fuel consumption when operating the LADA Largus in highway conditions, you need to constantly monitor its speed. As a rule, on any highway there are traffic lights, signs limiting speed and prohibiting overtaking. Thus, the car on different sections of the highway moves at different speeds (from 40 to 130 km/h), and the average speed of a car such as LADA Largus does not exceed 77 km/h.
Important! An analysis of reviews from drivers who operated a LADA Largus car in highway conditions demonstrates that gasoline consumption per 100 km is on average 7.2 liters
Fuel consumption in urban conditions
A driver who decides to check how much fuel his LADA Largus actually consumes must consciously:
- get stuck in traffic jams;
- leave when city streets are at their busiest;
- stand at traffic lights;
- Always use air conditioning, etc.
In such conditions, according to statistics, the LADA Largus consumes up to 13.3 liters of fuel per 100 km. mileage If the driver prefers to drive in an aggressive manner (fast acceleration - sharp braking), then the gasoline consumption of his Largus will be significantly higher.
Additional Information
Surveys conducted on the Internet among Lada Largus owners showed that:
- 33% of respondents voted for fuel consumption of 8...9 l/100 km;
- 26% of votes received gasoline consumption of 9...10 l/100 km;
- 15% of owners noted fuel consumption in the range of 10...11 l/100 km;
- 10% of survey participants voted for fuel consumption at the level of 7...8 and 11...12 l/100 km.
New Lada Largus Cross
will appear on the AvtoVAZ assembly line in October 2014, and a little later it will become available to buyers. The car is a continuation of the new pseudo-off-road Lada Cross
. Let us remind you that the first car in this series is Lada Kalina Cross, which is already on sale.
The Largus Cross car has a number of external distinctive features by which the car can be unmistakably recognized on the road. Firstly, these are 16-inch alloy wheels. Let us remember that for a regular Largus they have a radius of 14 or 15. Secondly, this is a plastic body kit for the car, which, according to the designers, should make the car more practical for use on bad roads.
Well, the main advantage is the increased ground clearance of the Lada Largus Cross
, which is now more than 20 centimeters in running order, and when fully loaded, the very roomy seven-seater has a ground clearance of 170 mm. As a result, the ground clearance was increased by 25 mm when compared with the regular Largus.
Salon Lada Largus Cross
not much different from the interior of a regular 7-seater Largus, but there is one feature. As in the Kalina Cross interior, there are orange inserts in the center console, on the door trim and seat upholstery. Let's look at the photo of the Largus Cross salon below.
Luggage compartment Largus Cross
It has an additional third row of seats that fold just as quickly, opening up great opportunities for transporting various things. However, it is worth recalling that the spare wheel on the Largus is located under the bottom, while on the Kalina Cross it can be found in the trunk under the mat. Which option is more convenient is a rather controversial question. Photo of Largus Cross trunk

Manufacturers' forecasts
The 2022 models will be equipped with a number of modern equipment that will make your stay in the car more comfortable:
- heated seats;
- air conditioning system;
- audio system in accordance with the latest technologies;
- electric windows.
At the request of the car owner, the model can additionally be equipped with fog lights and an airbag for the passenger. I would also like the manufacturers of the Lada Largus Cross to equip the car with all-wheel drive.
This is all in the near future, but for now, to satisfy your interest, you can look at photos of the future Largus model on the Internet.
Lada Largus and Lada Largus Cross
Summarize. If you want a little better ride and comfort, or if you need to regularly wade through fields and small bushes without damaging the body, take the Largus Cross. If every penny counts, a station wagon will do - it’s both cheaper and a little more economical to operate. By the way, Largus without the Cross prefix is also available with an eight-valve engine that can be fed with 92-octane gasoline. But the 102-horsepower sixteen-valve engine installed on the test cars is designed for 95-octane gasoline.
As for sales statistics, of the 26,460 Largus sold in 11 months of 2022, 50% of sales were the regular Largus. Another 30% of buyers preferred the Cross version, and the remaining 20% chose the van.
How to reduce fuel consumption
Fuel consumption in any car depends on a number of subjective and objective factors, ranging from traffic congestion, the number of traffic lights along the way and the time of year, to driving style. Driving in an aggressive style will lead to an increase in gasoline consumption standards, and even on a new car, distortions may occur in relation to the data on the Lada Largus passport.
The main factors of increased consumption can be considered:
The quality of the gasoline being poured is low; at many gas stations the octane number is increased with the help of additives, but this does not make the car drive much better, but the gas emissions increase, which leads to high costs. All electrical equipment that is turned on while driving takes on part of the generated energy, which can also become a factor in increasing gasoline consumption in a car of any brand. In the winter season, a lot of fuel is spent on warming up a cold engine, which naturally increases the consumption of gasoline. Worn-out engine parts are one of the main factors in increased fuel consumption. To avoid this situation, you need to monitor the condition of the car and pay attention to the color of the exhaust gases (if the valves are worn out, oil gets into the fuel and the exhaust gases become black and acquire a characteristic odor).
The main advice can be considered the timely identification of problems, and for this you should carefully monitor changes in the performance characteristics of the car. To eliminate one of the common causes of increased gasoline consumption in Lada Largus, you can simply replace or clean the fuel filter.
The Lada Largus car is very popular among fans of such car models. The design, equipment and fuel consumption of the Lada Largus differ by 100 km from previous Lada models.
Differences and similarities with other VAZ models
So, in comparison with similar AvtoVAZ projects, such as the Lada Kalina station wagon, the fourteenth or tenth, and also in contrast to the base model Lada Largus, the Cross version received a more original, memorable design: if the Kalina is known for its unremarkable, barrel-shaped body, the fourteenth and the tenth model - excessive laconicism and simplicity, which, however, also applies to Largus, then the Cross looks completely different.
This is a truly European car, which is difficult to distinguish visually from the budget projects of Renault and Volkswagen.
An elongated body, sloping shapes, a thoughtful exterior, everything breathes with confidence, courage, and charisma, which is a winning solution. This time the designers made the right decision and hit the mark.
The cross is equipped with a powerful plastic body kit, which the old version of Largus does not have; such a body kit gives the car practicality, because now it is not afraid of trips on Russian provincial off-road, on country and forest roads, after which, usually, impressive scratches remain on the hood. Now with the body kit you can forget about this problem.
In addition, the front bumper is decorated with plastic linings of a classic black color; they are also not present in the first version of Largus, nor are they found in other similar AvtoVAZ models.
The next difference is the sixteen-inch wheels, the tires of which are much wider. It’s worth mentioning here that the regular Largus has fifteen-inch wheels, which look quite modest.
But the most important difference between the Cross model and the rest is the increased ground clearance by 25 mm, which is undoubtedly the most important factor in comfortable driving, especially for a family station wagon.
Exterior
A test drive of the Lada-Largus-Cross should start with the appearance of the car. The car differs from a regular station wagon in its more aggressive design. Also, the ground clearance has become higher and increased in size to 17 centimeters. The bumper covers are plastic, painted black, as well as the front and rear wheel arches, and door plastic strips.
The main features of the exterior of the Lada-Largus-Cross 2018 version:
- the radiator grille is made in the style of the Lada crossover;
- the wheel arches have become larger than in the previous version;
- the main headlights are sloped, the inner side is pointed;
- the size of the side mirrors has become larger;
- ground clearance has been increased by 3 centimeters compared to the previous version, now it is 17 centimeters;
- the rear lights are located on pillars.
Short description
"Lada-Largus-Cross" is produced with four engines: K7M, K4M, VAZ-11189 and VAZ-21129. It is produced with one transmission version - a five-speed manual gearbox. In 2016, in honor of the tenth anniversary of production, AvtoVAZ released the Largus-Cross in black, which covered the wheels, mirrors and roof.
"Lada-Largus-Cross" has a strong suspension, shock absorbers and the entire body in general. Due to its low price, this car is popular among many Russian car enthusiasts. Also, Lada-Largus-Cross is adapted for Russian roads. The ground clearance has increased, and, accordingly, the cross-country ability has increased.
Owner reviews of the Lada-Largus-Cross are positive and note the versatility of the car. This is a family car, thanks to which you can relax in nature, fortunately the trunk allows this. The station wagon has enough space even for five passengers.
Vehicle Specifications
The car, as before, has front-wheel drive. The crossover was built on the platform of the regular Largus. The ground clearance of the Largus Cross is 2.5 centimeters higher than the base car. It is about 17.5 centimeters when fully loaded. This ground clearance, of course, does not make the crossover an SUV, but it does provide certain advantages when driving on domestic roads.

- About the expert:
Frets Expert
An expert on Lada cars with many years of experience. I own a Lada Granta car, I collect cramps based on the Priora. Sometimes I stay overnight in the garage. My wife is more jealous of cars than of women.
The Largus Cross also has an improved suspension.
Namely: new shock absorbers and increased springs are installed at the front. Also, large wheel rims are used (R16). Thanks to the wheels, it was possible to increase the ground clearance by 5 mm. The rest of the lift is a modification of the suspension.
Engines
The crossover is equipped with a 1.6-liter sixteen-valve engine with a power of 102 hp. The regular Largus has an eight-valve engine with a power of 87 hp. Both cars come with a five-speed manual transmission.
Salon
The interiors of these two cars are no different from each other. Both cars have:
- Airbags (two, front).
- Air conditioner.
- EBD.
- ABS.
- Heated front seats.
- Leather steering wheel.
- Electric windows on all doors.
- Electrically adjustable rear view mirrors.
- Four speakers in the cabin.
- The driver's seat can be adjusted in height.
- Parktronic.
It is also worth noting that the stitching of the seats has changed. It was black and turned orange. Also, orange inserts appeared on the front panel and doors of the crossover.
Appearance
Lada Largus Cross
The crossover now has fog rails. The car can be produced in a five-seater and seven-seater body version. The Largus Cross has unpainted bumpers on the front and rear. The front bumper together with the radiator grille form a kind of mask, by which the crossover can be distinguished from a regular Largus. Also at the bottom there is a decorative trim on the bumper that imitates protection.
The biggest differences can be seen from the side. Here you can note the plastic lining on the crossover. You can also distinguish a car by its nameplate.
conclusions
Knowing the features of the Lada Largus and Lada Largus Cross, it will be easier for you to distinguish between these cars on the highway.
Design features
A new feature was the design move of the developers - orange leather inserts on the front seats, and decorative stitching on all seats was made in the same color. The same stylistic elements are added to the interior door panels and the center console. Due to this, the appearance became a little more original, but the manufacturer did not incur significant costs.
The interior space is quite spacious. The cabin has 7 seats for passengers including the driver. The second row can easily accommodate 3 passengers, regardless of their height and weight; if necessary, you can install 2 more additional seats in the third row. The big drawback is that for passengers in these seats the ride may not be particularly comfortable, because they are located directly above the rear axle, which undoubtedly makes it possible to feel all the imperfections of the road surface for themselves. But the luggage compartment space allows you to accommodate passengers of any size on the “bonus row”. Another important point is the possibility of turning the Largus Cross into a vehicle for cargo transportation. You just need to fold down the passenger seats, which doesn’t take much time or effort.
Interior design
Sitting behind the wheel of the Largus Cross, we can conclude that the interior has not undergone fundamental changes compared to the previous model.
The driver's seat is designed for a person of any build and size, and in principle, it is quite comfortable. An additional option this time was the ability to adjust the steering wheel and seat in a comfortable position. The seating level in the vehicle is quite high, which allows you to significantly expand the viewing range. The instrument panel has not undergone any special modifications.
Handling and off-road performance
The soft, rolling suspension of the Lada Largus Cross 2022 allows the driver and passengers to move comfortably on Russian roads with unsatisfactory asphalt surfaces. At speed, even large holes and potholes will not be particularly felt in the cabin. Largus Cross simply “swallows” them. But in order to overtake, the driver should calculate everything in advance, because the dynamics of the model drop significantly after 110 km/h. When cornering, the car rolls heavily due to its large dimensions and softly tuned suspension. Therefore, “laying corners” on Largus Cross is not a good idea, you can simply roll over.
Due to the increased ground clearance by 25 mm, compared to the regular version of the Lada Largus, as well as the engine, which has excellent torque, this model can be used to safely drive to the dacha along country roads after rain or to a picnic along forest paths. A black plastic edging along the lower part of the body, including the wheel arches, will protect the car's paintwork from dirt, branches and sand. We can reach a verdict that the Lada Largus Cross is not called an all-terrain station wagon for nothing.
Owner reviews
Today Largus Cross has very mixed reviews from its owners. Depending on the purpose of the acquisition, opinions were also divided. Naturally, this is far from a racing car, but for work trips to the country with the appropriate equipment, some materials, things, etc., it is quite a decent vehicle.
Advantages of the Lada Largus Cross car:
- special capacity;
- improved maneuverability;
- practicality in use, adjustable driver's seat;
- a trunk with a double-leaf door, which simplifies the loading of large cargo;
- increased ground clearance;
- more reliable and durable design;
- It's easy to find spare parts for cars.
Flaws:
- lack of different engine variations;
- low power (105 hp) for confidence while traveling in any terrain;
- inability to enter a turn at high speed due to the center of gravity;
- inconvenient location of the spare wheel (under the bottom);
- Not a good view of the rear view mirrors.
It is difficult to say a clear opinion about this car. It all depends rather on the expectations that the future owner places on it when purchasing it.
Visual differences
The appearance of the car, in fact, is no different from the appearance of the twins. There are differences in the front part; the VAZ model has a radiator grille and inserts for fog lights. After these upgrades, the car remains just as attractive, but now the front end looks much friendlier than the rest. The car has a very elongated profile; roof rails along the entire length of the roof add even greater visual length. And unlike other similar models, the car has very thick moldings around the perimeter of the body. The Cross version has the most attractive appearance, its off-road plastic body kit emphasizes the high ground clearance, and alloy wheels confirm Henry Ford’s famous phrase that wheels are 80% of a car’s appearance. In profile, the glass frames have dark staining, and from a distance one gets the impression that there are no gaps between them and the glazing is continuous. A very practical solution was to encase the sills and arches in plastic trims, this is also attractive, and also looks reminiscent of cars like old all-wheel drive station wagons such as the Outback or XC70.
Changes have also appeared inside, but they are just as insignificant. They mainly affected the center console and instrument panel. The ergonomics remain very thoughtful and comfortable, despite its simplicity. New buttons for power windows and hazard warning lights have appeared on the center console. The control unit for the stove or air conditioner remains the same. New speedometer and tachometer scales have appeared on the instrument panel, the arrows of which are no longer transparent. Between the instruments there is an on-board computer and a display with warning lights. In expensive trim levels, cars may have white dials or silver plastic edging that imitates metal.
Performance indicators
Thanks to the modernized suspension, the Largus Cross handles active driving on dirt or broken asphalt quite confidently and smoothly, moving over obstacles even above the specified clearance. The cargo modification of the Lada Largus Cross copes worse with unevenness due to the clamped chassis due to the cargo specifics. Therefore, passengers on problem sections of the road can be quite shaken.
At the same time, during the experiment, Largus Cross was unable to move even from one platform, the rollers of which rotated under one of the drive wheels at a speed of 60 km/h, and the remaining wheels stood motionless on the ground. The reason here lies in the absence of a directional stability stabilization system.
Another problem with a long wheelbase is maneuverability and turning circle. In order to make a turn, much less turn around, Cross needs a lot of free space around.
The 1.6 liter engine is not powerful, but it is enough for moderate driving with a partial load. The presence of close gear ratios in the gearbox and a short main pair save the situation. The car struggles to cope with high speeds on the highway. At 120 kph, the cabin becomes quite noisy - a disadvantage due to unsatisfactory sound insulation. There is a desire to engage 6th gear, but, of course, it is absent. Faster than 130, the desire to go disappears, and fuel consumption increases rapidly.
The power steering is more suitable for measured driving: the steering wheel is “long” (more than three turns to the stop), tight in parking mode. And at the same time, to some extent, it is flimsy - the car responds to control manipulations as if with a slight delay. However, someone may even like such “imposingness”.
As for emergency safety, the official crash test carried out on the eve of the serial release of the Lada Largus showed quite good results. The test consisted of a series of tangible impacts in accordance with UNECE rules No95-02. Including frontal collisions at a speed of 56 km/h with an oncoming barrier, side and rear collisions with a movable obstacle. The car handled the side impact well. As a result of the collision, the doors did not open; the pressure on the driver’s head was eight times lower than the maximum permissible.
A rear impact at a speed of 36 km/h did not damage the integrity of the interior or secure the seats. The glass in the luggage compartment and side doors was also not damaged. Based on the crash test results, Largus was found to meet legal safety requirements and was approved for sale in Russia.
For the purpose of the experiment, the car was crashed according to EuroNCAP conditions at a speed of 64 km/h and ultimately received a decent score of 8.32 points, almost repeating the result of the Dacia Logan MCV.
Significant innovations in Lada Largus
In order to understand the scale of the changes that have occurred in the car, we need to draw a parallel between the cross and other equally powerful engines that are identical in configuration to the Largus. So:
- appearance: in Largus cross it has not changed much, but it is slightly taller than the donor. You can see unpainted bumpers with gray inserts on the bottom and black wheel arches and sills. The wheel diameter has increased from 15 to 16 inches. The Cross acquired “prestige” status due to alloy wheels instead of stamped ones. The interior has also not changed, only the upholstery. The crossover has intersecting lines, and there are also gray plastic inserts on the doors. There is another option for interior colors - with bright orange inserts instead of gray ones;
- The Lada Largus Cross is 35 kg heavier than usual, the shock absorber rods and the springs themselves are longer. The plastic body kit adds brutality and protects the car’s paintwork from damage when driving over rough terrain;
- cross economy: the cross spends 1.4 liters more per kilometer in the city than a regular station wagon.
What is the advantage of the Lada Largus Cross
- The car is well equipped: there are electric mirrors and adjustments, heated seats, fog lights, good standard acoustics, power steering, air conditioning, standard metal engine protection, and much more. Sitting in the Lada Largus Cross, you will feel no worse than in any other foreign car. All this is due to the high functionality and equipment of the machine.
- The appearance is decent, much more interesting compared to other models. You can be pleased with alloy wheels with a radius of R16.
- The car has excellent power: with a weight of 350 kg and with two passengers, you will not feel any discomfort.
- Quite an energy-intensive suspension.
- Lada Largus Cross has a 16-valve 1.6 liter engine.
- The car itself is very roomy.
- The most important advantage of the Lada Largus Cross is its high ground clearance! Many car enthusiasts appreciated this: you won’t feel the holes, bumps and all the other delights of Russian roads; the bottom doesn’t touch the ground at all. The ground clearance is only 170 mm, but drivers say it feels like 200 mm.
Description of appearance
The appearance of the Lada Largus Cross became quite a noisy event. The advertisement loudly and beautifully described the car in a positive light, but in the end the public accepted this model with conflicting opinions. After all, having assessed the real possibilities, not only the positive aspects of modernization became noticeable, the test drive also revealed its shortcomings.
As it turned out, as a new restyling, the consumer was offered additional bumper covers made of plastic, as well as additional design of wheel arches and sills made of a similar material. But the plastic parts did not give the car the intended SUV look. In addition to this, the ground clearance has increased, now reaching 17 cm.
The suspension has also undergone some changes in accordance with the declared qualities of the crossover. However, the Lada Largus is unlikely to be able to conquer real off-road conditions, but for a joint family trip to a country house or to nature, this is an ideal option.
The basic configuration includes wheels with a diameter of 16 inches. In general, the appearance of the Largus Cross has much in common with the Dacia Logan MCV. A few differences between Lada and its French-Romanian “brother” are:
- modified radiator grille;
- The shape of the bumpers is different from the previous version.
The impressive volumes of the rear of the car, together with the trunk, visually resemble a minibus. So this option is suitable for traveling with the whole family or a large group, as well as for transporting not too large cargo.
The roof does not have any design features. The optics of a domestic car are even slightly rustic; the door fittings are no exception. Based on all of the above, there is only one conclusion - Largus is not particularly elegant or original, although this property is not necessary for an SUV. There is a certain kind of roughness in its design.
Test drive Lada Largus 2022
The improvements that affected the AVTOVAZ bestseller were positively noted by experts who conducted a test drive of the Lada Largus 2022 in a new body (video in the article). While maintaining the maneuverability of a city station wagon, the car acquired the stability and cross-country ability of a crossover.
Strengthening the frame and increasing physical parameters had a positive effect on driving performance, which was successfully confirmed by a test drive of the Lada Largus 2022:
- the ground clearance increased by 20 millimeters provides excellent cross-country ability on country roads with uneven surfaces, serving as additional insurance for the underbody of the car, covered with a thick layer of anti-gravel substance.
- the installation of cast rubber with a diameter of 16 mm increased the stability of the car during sharp turns and turns in small areas, and reduced vibrations while driving on uneven roads.
- increasing the parameters of the vehicle base increased the smoothness of the ride on dirt roads and off-road. Traveling to the country or a country holiday has become much more enjoyable.
- The five-speed manual gearbox, as shown by the test drive of the Lada Largus 2022, responds adequately to force, the gear ratios are conveniently located, testers noted the smooth movement of the gear lever when shifting.
The first impression of the interior design was the feeling of spaciousness and comfort of the new salon. Test drive Lada Largus 2018 confirmed improved performance:
wide seats and the distance between the rows allow an adult of non-standard dimensions to comfortably fit, even in the third row of seats. The ergonomics of the control panel, compared to the station wagon of the previous series, allows you to quickly use the necessary functions without much physical effort. The electric window lift allows the driver to control the option directly, which is important if there are children in the car.
The security system of the Lada Largus 2022 also successfully passed the test drive. Since manufacturers position the car as a family car, the creation of high-quality mechanisms that protect the life and health of the driver and passengers has become the primary task of the designers of the automotive giant AVTOVAZ. The configuration of the Lada Largus 2018 in the Luxury class includes additional side airbags, seat belts installed for each passenger on three-point fastenings, soft headrests, including the third row in the seven-seater model, creating a feeling of security for travelers. Besides. A locking system is installed to prevent accidental opening of the rear doors. Smooth movement of the car while driving on uneven domestic roads, as shown by the test drive of the Lada Largus 2022, with front hydraulic independent and rear semi-independent suspension. Increased ground clearance eliminates extraneous sounds while driving on gravel roads.
Protective plastic side skirts and radial linings on the wheels increase the visual perception of the modification as a crossover.
Bright leather inserts on the doors and front console, double stitching of the seat upholstery in the same color, successfully emphasize the modern European design of the new station wagon for family trips and business needs. The interior upholstery is made to reduce the access of external noise, which increases the comfort of the cabin.
European standards for family station wagons were taken into account when developing the electronics system, which is confirmed by the test drive of the Lada Largus 2022:
- An immobilizer is installed that provides anti-theft functions.
- The multimedia system, conveniently located on the front console of the Lada Largus 2022, is controlled by the driver or front row passenger using buttons by simply pressing.
- The interior climate control system regulates the air temperature while driving.
Euro5 standards were taken into account when installing a domestically produced engine with an improved exhaust system. The environmental indicators of the remaining life support circuits of the machine also meet international requirements.
A test drive of the Lada Largus 2022 confirmed the high cross-country ability and comfort parameters developed for this model. A family station wagon with SUV performance, it was created taking into account the wishes of owners of cars with a similar purpose. They put the car on a par with the world's recognized crossovers. At the same time, the cost of the new Lada Largus 2022 maintains a budget position, focusing on the average consumer.
Car interior
There are no revolutionary changes in the design of the interior, only the careful addition of bright (orange or yellow) inserts on the front and door panels, as well as colored edging on the mats and stitching on the upholstery. The panels in Largus Cross are made of soft plastic. The two-tone upholstery is aimed more at the younger category of drivers. Later, a third interior design option appeared - with calmer gray shades.
On the front seats you can see an imitation of profile support. The three-seater sofa does not have dividing armrests. Near the boarding door, the seat reclines, opening the passage to the third row (in the 7-seater version). The seats fold down if necessary, increasing trunk capacity. They are quite budget-friendly and do not have a high level of comfort. Inexpensive tuning of seats involves purchasing covers that will not significantly change their structure. The volume of the luggage compartment varies depending on the configuration: 135 liters for the 7-seater version, 560 for the 5-seater and 2350 for the cargo version.
Among the elements of the front part, one can highlight the dashboard with two circles of indicators, between which there is a monitor; a center console with 2 deflectors (a standard audio system with 6 speakers is placed under them), levers and buttons, as well as an ergonomic leather steering wheel without auxiliary controls.
Initially, the Cross was offered in a configuration almost identical to the top-end version of the regular Largus. It had all the basic options available in the Largus family. Among others:
- 2 airbags (for driver and passenger);
- Air conditioner;
- driver's seat with height adjustment;
- heated front seats;
- own ventilation deflectors on the second and third rows of seats;
- electric windows;
- electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors;
- central locking control panel;
- luggage rack on the roof lining;
- parking sensors, which greatly facilitates parking the car.
Compared to Logan, there is a fundamentally different rear sofa. The extended base made it possible to extend it, which eliminated the need for passengers to crowd between the wheel arches. The high roof provided so much headroom that there was even a storage compartment in the cabin.
Interior
Based on reviews of the Lada-Largus-Cross car, it is known that in the second row of seats there is enough space for three people. The third row can accommodate two people. Even tall passengers will have enough space. But getting to the third row is quite problematic: you will need to fold down the second row of seats.
Among the features of the interior, according to reviews from the owners of the Lada-Largus-Cross, the following can be highlighted:
- The steering wheel has three spokes, there are also no multimedia control buttons, there is only a horn.
- The instrument panel includes a tachometer and speedometer, and between them there is a display that displays the vehicle's mileage, fuel tank capacity, oil level and temperature, and many other indicators.
- Two air conditioning vents that close with just one finger movement. Below them is a display with red backlight, as well as an emergency stop button and a climate control regulator.
The gear shift lever is made in the AvtoVAZ style with a standard shift pattern. To the right of it is the cigarette lighter socket. In front there are cup holders and a compartment for small items.
The panel above the glove compartment is slightly different from the rest of the interior and does not fit into it a little. Made from cheap plastic. To the right of it is the air conditioner deflector.
Reviews of the Lada-Largus-Cross say that the multimedia system does not live up to the Pioneer system, for example, but for a budget family car it is not so bad. The interior door holders are painted metallic gray, which gives the interior a more attractive appearance than the boring dark gray color.
It is worth mentioning the chairs, the material of which in the first row resembles leather, although it is not. Double stitching completely covers the back and seat areas. The side elements of the seats do not have them. The rear row is equipped with comfortable headrests. Has three seats. Appearance of Largus Cross on the Russian market
The crossover version was developed as a result of AvtoVAZ’s policy: improving cars and striving to meet the needs of all categories of drivers. Over the years, the standard Largus has established itself as a market leader among fans of quiet family driving.
In addition, Largus is available in the form of a van. This fact adds to the number of consumers of this model entrepreneurs, rural residents and everyone interested in transporting cargo. For this segment of buyers, a standard station wagon is suitable in almost all respects: a comfortable, roomy interior, the ability to accommodate from 5 to 7 passengers inside (depending on the purchased modification), low fuel consumption and discreet classic style.
But since, as mentioned above, among Lada consumers there are drivers who often drive outside the city on rough terrain, the question of creating an off-road version of Largus has become urgent. AvtoVAZ specialists revealed that the demand for the production of such a car is high, and it was decided to design a modified version of the station wagon, which is better adapted for off-road use. And, starting in 2022, a modified version of the station wagon will be produced with the cross prefix.
