Lada Largus Cross 2022 model year in a new body is offered to customers in two versions: “Comfort” and “Luxe” for 865,900 - 981,900 rubles. In this article we will list what is included in the maximum “Lux” package in 5- and 7-seat versions (+ the “Prestige” option package), how it differs from the previous “Comfort” equipment level, and also compare it with its closest competitors: Lada Vesta SV Cross “Comfort”, Renault Sandero Stepway “Drive” and Kia Sid SV “Comfort”.

Exterior design

Let's start from the front. Everything here is fundamentally new - the hood, fenders, bumper and optics. The windshield washer jets have been removed from the hood and installed in the windshield window frame trim. I like this solution better, the hood looks cleaner, without anything superfluous. The front part is made in X-style, like all Lada models. There are chrome “boomerang” inserts here.

The optics are borrowed from the second generation Renault Logan. The head light is a regular halogen with the usual incandescent lamps.

Below are fog lights. It is worth noting the very stylish radiator grille, it has an interesting design and is painted gloss black. This elegant grille is available only for luxury trim levels. In simple versions it has a different design and without gloss. The front bumper is combined, the central part is unpainted in black. Side inserts are painted in body color. At the bottom, like all Lada Cross models, there is a contrasting silver insert.

There is one interesting point about the front bumper. It has stampings for parking sensors, but they are not there.

Where is the Lada Largus paint code?

Where is the paint code for Lada Largus? Largus owners ask this question when they need to do minor body repairs or buy something to match the color of the car. You can find the Lada Largus paint number in several ways:

1. Using a factory sticker , which is applied to the car during assembly at the factory.

Engine compartment

There are no changes under the hood of the new Largus. Technically, everything remains the same.

There are 2 engine options available as power units:

VAZ 8-valve.
VAZ 16-valve.

There is only one transmission – 5-speed manual. The side of the car remained unchanged. A plastic body kit and door moldings are also installed along the perimeter of the body. But now there are different exterior mirrors.

They are borrowed from the luxury version of the Lada Vesta. In the previous version, the turn signal indicators were located in the front wings. Now they are inserted into the exterior mirrors. In my opinion, these design mirrors are the coolest and most stylish of all that are available for Lada cars.

Wheels

This configuration comes with 16-inch alloy wheels. But now there are different tires. Previously, the Cross version was equipped with premium Continental Premium Contact tires, and now the more budget-friendly Pirelli Cinturato P1. The dimension remains the same - 205/55 R16.

In the wheel arches at the front and rear there are soft felt fender liners - a standard solution for luxury Lada trim levels. Wheel mudguards are not provided in the Cross version. The ground clearance of the new Largus is the smallest of the entire Lada crossover family, amounting to 195 mm. For comparison: Vesta Cross has 203 mm, X Ray Cross has 215 mm.

Technical characteristics and features of Lada Largus Cross 5 seats

The five-seater car model is good, first of all, because it has a more affordable price. On the manufacturer’s official website there is a price tag starting from 616 thousand rubles, which is 21 thousand more than a similar model of 2012. The dynamic characteristics of the 2015 Lada Largus Cross remain the same. But the car now comes only with a 105 hp engine.

Otherwise, if you look under the hood of the car, it is still the same horse as a couple of years ago. The driver of a Lada Largus Cross 5 seats will also have to put up with slightly increased fuel consumption. Now it's 9 liters. per 100 km. in the combined cycle versus 8.2 for the regular Largus. Ground clearance has also been increased to 170 mm. Naturally, the Lada Largus Cross 5 seats is equipped exclusively with alloy wheels, like other luxury AvtoVAZ models.

If you try to further compare the technical characteristics of the car with its base model, then you can hardly find any other differences there. This is a car that has been familiar to us for a long time. The additional price tag is due to the redesigned design and increased cross-country ability, nothing more.

Rear end

There have been no changes to the rear.

But a rear view camera appeared, displaying an image on the display of the head multimedia system. I think this is a cool and useful option. After all, the Lada Largus is a large car, so reversing with a camera will be much more convenient and safer. The bumper and lights remain the same.

Salon

We open the driver's door and see new door trims and elegant, stylish handles. The interior is painted black lacquer, the lock opening handle from Renault Fluence is silver.

Below there is a spacious niche for small items and a speaker for the multimedia system. The Largus Lux trim level is why there are buttons on the door for full power accessories, borrowed from the Lada X-Ray. The seats have a new molding, combined upholstery, there are eco-leather and fabric inserts.

There is a beautiful diamond-shaped stitching in the center, with the model name at the top. In terms of functionality, only a height lift is available; there is no lumbar support. Another nice option that was not available on Largus before is a comfortable massive armrest.

Underneath there is a deep niche for small items. The new Largus is equipped with a steering wheel from the Lada Vesta in the maximum version.

Leather braid, multi-steering wheel buttons, steering wheel heating function. Thermal comfort in this car is all at the highest level, the following heating systems are installed: steering wheel, 3-speed front seats, windshield (never had it before), rear window and outside mirrors. In addition, separate seat heating was added for rear passengers.

Previously, Largus only had a central lock, but now there is a remote control with a switchable sting, which we saw on Vesta and X-Ray.

The new Largus is equipped with a new instrument cluster taken from Renault Duster. It is analogue with classic hands.

The lighting in the corporate style is a combination of orange and white. All readings are easy to read; there is a small on-board computer with a standard set of readings. Chrome rings add a “luxury” feel.

The center console is borrowed from Renault Duster and painted in black lacquer. There is a spacious niche at the top for small items.

For the first time, Largus uses a 7-inch multimedia system with a touch screen. Below is the heater control module.

I expected that there would be another module, for example, from the same Vesta with two washers and a display. There are no complaints about it, everything works smoothly. The only thing I don’t like is the black air conditioning button, which you can’t always press the first time. Below are buttons for heated glass and seats.

The center tunnel trim remains unchanged: 2 cup holders, 12-volt outlet. The gear shift lever remains the same shape.

The handbrake remains unchanged. The mirror adjustment module remained in the same inconvenient place - under the handbrake. But, if you think about how much we use mirror adjustment, then there are no special complaints about the location.

On the passenger side there is a spacious shelf-pocket, you can place something.

The glove box is spacious, there is a lampshade and a niche for documents.

The interior lighting lamp is of a new type, of a different design. There is a button to call the Era Glonass system manager.

Rear seats

Here the sofa is of a different shape. Safety locks are built into the airbag, and will no longer rest against the butt of passengers.

A cool option is separate heating for the rear sofa. There is also a USB port for charging gadgets and a 12-volt outlet. There is a small pocket in the back of the front passenger. The car is fully equipped, there is a third row of seats.

We recline the seat and make our way to the third row.

Now you can recline the seat. It's not very comfortable for an adult, but it's quite normal for children. There is a small armrest with a cup holder and a separate lampshade.

Trunk

Since the car has three rows of seats, there is little space left for the trunk. But, if you fold back the back rows, the volume will be 550 liters.

In terms of execution, everything is simple, on the sides there are mesh for securing luggage. A road tool is attached to the right. In general, the Lada Largus is a very practical car, it has a low loading height and a huge opening.

For greater loading convenience, the doors can be disengaged from their stops, providing even more space.
