It accelerates well and brakes well, fortunately the anti-lock braking system and electronic brake force distribution were not cut. The small wheels are not visible from the interior, but the Priora handles tolerably well on them.

I think that the Priora will still survive in the “many car for a ruble” scenario. It does not have a fatally outdated appearance, a high-quality interior and a comfortable interior. The former prima donna is let down by the design features of the tenth family platform, originally from the 90s: suboptimal ergonomics of the driver’s seat, a small gas tank and trunk for a car of this size, as well as vibrations and noise. All this shows age and makes no sense in further attempts to design expensive luxury versions. After the release of the Lada Vesta, AVTOVAZ thought about how to extend the life of the Priora. A model that was already losing popularity could begin to compete with the new product. of the “budget” Priora in the “Standard” started in 2016 .

In 2016, the Priora can only be purchased as a sedan. Under the hood of the “budget” Priora 2016 is the weakest engine: a 1.6-liter engine with a power of 87 hp.

The price of the 2016 Priora in the “Standard” configuration is 389 thousand rubles. This is practically the price of Granta in the basic configuration.

To be honest, AVTOVAZ’s attempt to make the Priora as cheap as possible looks a little strange. The car has lost many small options - protection of the engine compartment, mirrors in the visors, ceiling handles. However, there are still many options left that could reduce the price of the model even more.

Rear passengers do not have headrests (an important safety feature!), but do have an armrest with a sunroof. There is also an armrest between the front seats. The front arches still have fender liners, but there are no mudguards. If you remove all these options, the Priora could become a truly budget model.

The chassis of the car has also undergone modernization, the front suspension struts have changed, and the rear suspension has received new shock absorbers and a rear anti-roll bar has appeared. The cars already received electric power steering as standard (there are modifications with power steering), electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and anti-lock braking system with electronic brake assist (ABS + BAS).

In some trim levels, cars are equipped as standard with air conditioning with a climate control system, heated not only the rear but also the windshield, electric windows both front and rear, a light and rain sensor, heated and electric mirrors. In luxury trim levels, the safety system includes driver and passenger airbags.

Lada Priora cars are equipped with an audio system with a 2din head unit; in some trim levels there are 1din units with a plug or no audio unit at all. Four speakers and an external ultra-sensitive antenna with cable are integrated into the instrument panel. The audio system allows you to listen to music and read data from a CD/MP3 disc, as well as from flash drives or from a mobile phone via a special Bluetooth channel, and through this channel you can control incoming calls to a mobile phone using the buttons on the radio panel. In addition, the Priora multimedia system was equipped with GLONASS/GPS satellite navigation; the first car equipped with this system was shown in August 2010 at the Moscow Motor Show.

As of the beginning of 2022, 5 car trim levels of different price categories are offered.
