This model was developed back in 94 of the last century. Then the designers planned to replace the VAZ-21099 with it. However, for various reasons, mass production never began at that time - it started only in 1996. At the same time, the plant made only very small batches intended strictly for export. At that time, the design of the car was quite modern, the only thing that spoiled its exterior was a rather unsuccessful fairing. This detail undoubtedly fulfilled the function assigned to it, but it looked too clumsy.
Starting in 2001, model 2115 began to be produced using an assembly line method; before that, the car practically did not appear in the retail chain and was considered quite prestigious.
The main changes made to the design of the VAZ-2115:
- new shaped bumpers;

- the doors were equipped with moldings;
- the shape of the hood was changed;
- used narrower headlights;

Exterior
The second generation of Daewoo Nexia never acquired a modern appearance; it still looks archaic, in the style of the 90s.
