Parameters of alloy wheels
PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) diameter and the number of these holes.
For example, PCD100/4 - 4 holes with a diameter of 100 mm.
Since the mounting holes are made with a significant tolerance plus in diameter, you can make a mistake in choosing a PCD if it differs from the standard one by a couple of millimeters. For example, a PCD98/4 wheel is often put on a hub with PCD100/4 (98 mm from 100 cannot be distinguished by eye). It is unacceptable. In this case, of all the nuts (or bolts), only one will be fully tightened; the remaining holes will “lead away” and the fasteners will remain untightened or tightened skewed - the fit of the wheel on the hub will be incomplete. While driving, such a wheel will “beat”, in addition, not fully tightened nuts will unscrew by themselves.
Determining PCD by distance between bolt holes
DIA - diameter of the central hole for the hub or the central hole of the disk
ET - offset (or offset) of the disk (measured in mm).
This is the distance between the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the disk and the plane of the hub. The offset can be zero (the plane of symmetry of the disk coincides with the plane of the machine hub), positive (the plane of symmetry of the disk is closer to the center of the machine than the plane of the hub - as in the figure) and negative (further). For each car model, the offset is calculated by the manufacturer to ensure optimal stability and controllability of the car, as well as the least load on the hub bearings. The Germans designate the offset ET (for example, ET30 (mm), if its value is positive, or ET-30, if negative), the French - DEPORT, manufacturers from other countries usually use the English OFFSET. The desire to install wider low-profile tires that have appeared in recent years (sometimes on larger R-size wheels) leads to the need to select a wheel with a reduced ET (i.e. the tire has become wider - you need to move it outward from the body - otherwise it will start to touch it ) . Reducing ET makes the wheel track wider; - this increases the stability of the car and gives it a stylish racing look. An excessive decrease in ET is undesirable, because may result in increased load on the wheel bearings. Increase the reach, i.e. It is usually impossible to narrow the track - the disc will rest against the brake caliper.

Factory wheels for Priora - parameters, article number, price
Wheels on the Lada Priora are installed as standard from the factory, their sizes and parameters are as follows:
- Diameter 14 inches.
- Drilling LZ×PCD 4×98 mm.
- Width 5.5J.
- Reach ET 35 mm.
- Center hole diameter DIA 58.6 mm.
There are no alloy wheels for the Lada Priora of any other size, also in the range of the Lada Sport brand. Depending on the configuration, Lada Priora was equipped with stamped steel or light alloy cast wheel elements.
What to look for when choosing
Among the main types, 2 will be priority for most - cheap alloy wheels and stamped ones.
Each type of disc has a marking that can tell you more about the features of the models:
- The first thing that appears in the marking will be the number - this is a number that means the width of the disks in inches (for example, 5.5).
- Next comes the letter abbreviation for the modification of the rim edges - B, D, K, J or P. There are more complex options JK, PP.
Advantages and Disadvantages: Dies and Casting
Basically, cars are operated with two sets of tires: winter and summer. Therefore, in order not to waste time and money on seasonal tire fitting, purchase a second set of wheels. The wheels on the Lada Priora are either stamped steel or light alloy cast, and the car owners decide what type of elements to buy.
Differences in steel stampings:
- Low price.
- Maintainability.
The main disadvantage of stampings is their high specific gravity. The disadvantages also include low resistance to deformation and the fact that they are monotonous in appearance and not interesting. But a bent steel stamping can be easily straightened even by hand, and when deformed, the wheel absorbs impact energy, protecting the suspension from damage. Therefore, this can be a plus to some extent. The design can be improved by installing wheel covers, but some people like the look of a car with stamps.
Casting looks more beautiful, weighs lighter, since light alloys are used in its manufacture, and almost any design can be cast. Improving the design of the car and reducing sprung masses are the advantages of installing casting. The main disadvantage is the high price. Casting is three or more times more expensive than dies of the same size.
Therefore, stamps are better for winter - even if the steel rusts (which should not happen with high-quality painting), the wheels are easy to tint and inexpensive to replace. The almost continuous design of the stamping sidewall better protects brake system parts from snow and mud.
What does a significant increase in wheel size actually do?
The increased wheel width provides greater stability. If the tires on the new wheel are good, the car will grip the track perfectly at any speed. Also, the increased diameter has a positive effect on the stability of the ride on the highway and the passage of small irregularities. Many potholes that previously hampered your comfort will become invisible on new wheels. Also a big advantage is the appearance of the car. Otherwise, all that remains is to list the shortcomings:
- acceleration will be significantly more difficult, since the engine will have to be loaded much more to overcome the resistance of the wider and larger wheels on the Priora;
- fuel consumption will increase for the same reasons; on a car with a small unit, consumption can increase by 30-40%, which depends on the condition of the engine and the type of tire;
- control will be somewhat more difficult, and if you have a power steering, the latter can break down very often, since the load on the system will increase significantly, and this will lead to costs;
- braking may lose its sharpness, you will have to wait longer for the car to stop, the braking distance will increase, and the wear of the brake pads on the car will increase;
- the cost of tires will increase significantly, since 17 tires often cost twice as much as rubber on stock 14 wheels, which will greatly affect the operating budget of the car.
List of wheel manufacturers for Priora and their price
Stampings and castings with a diameter of 14 inches are produced by many domestic and foreign companies. Among the stamp manufacturers, the following stand out:

While all of these models are recommended, you may want to choose something that suits your style better.
The ideal solution for many situations is to use 2 different sets of disks. For the Priora, the best choice for the summer is considered to be four stamped alloy wheels, and for winter it is worth choosing durable cast products. If you change them depending on the season, they will last much longer, so you won’t have to think about replacing them for a long time.
Many other K&K elements correspond to the Prior size:
- Accent.
- Iguana.
- Kalina-sport.
- Omaha.
- Rome.
- Siesta.
- Blade.

The NZ Wheels range includes F-32, F-41, SH-627, SH-607. Price – 3400–3800 rubles.
It is difficult to find wheels in the size for Priora from European, American, and Japanese manufacturers. But if you deviate from the standard parameters, you can choose beautiful castings from well-known brands. True, they cost much more than their Russian and Chinese counterparts.
Generation 1
Lada Priora is an updated version of the popular VAZ 2110 model, production of which ended in 2007. Over 1,000 changes were made to the design of the “tens,” beloved by many Russians. As a result, a new family of cars appeared, consisting of 3 representatives:
- "VAZ-2170" - a sedan, the production of which began in March 2007;
- “VAZ-2172” is a hatchback that appeared in February 2008;
- "VAZ-2171" is a station wagon, sales of which began in May 2009.
Wheel sizes: what wheels can be installed on Priora
Wheel arches of Lada Priora accommodate wheels not only of standard size. Without modifications, the Lada Priora can accommodate wheels with a diameter of 15 and even 16 inches, naturally, together with lower-profile tires than the standard ones.
It is permissible to install rims with a width of 5.0–6.0J. For non-standard wheel configurations, wider ones are used: 6.5–7J. Overhang within ±5 mm. That is, wheels with an offset of 30 to 40 mm are suitable. The use of spacers allows you to install a disc with a different offset.
A large assortment of both stampings and castings allows you to select wheels for the Lada Priora in full accordance with the wishes and capabilities of the owner. The main thing is to use high-quality wheels that fit the size and the appropriate tires.
The reference information indicates that the standard size of Priora tires and wheels may be as follows:
- 175/65R14 (tubeless tires)
- 185/60R14 (tubeless tires)
- 185/65R14 (tubeless tires)

Alloy wheels on Priora
To visually understand how low-profile Priora tires change the appearance of the car, just look at the comparison photo: R14 wheels on Priora (Photo author): R15 wheels on Priora (Photo author): R16 wheels on Priora (Photo author): R17 wheels on Priora (Photo author): R18 wheels on a Priora (Photo author): By the way, do you know how to lower a Priora?
One of the flagships, the Lada Priora, was produced from 2007 to 2018, and during this period more than a million cars were sold in Russia and abroad. This means that the Priora really fell in love with the consumer, so today on the roads of the Russian Federation you can find both a completely new representative of this model and a car sold 10 years ago. Of course, many car enthusiasts invariably tuned their “iron horses,” and the main element of the exterior was always the wheels.
What is the tire pressure
The consequences of too high or too low tire pressure are serious - it is necessary to operate the car with well-inflated tires. Regardless of the load, rubber used and diameter, the nominal pressure is considered to be 0.2 MPa. The width of the rim (5J, 5 ½, 6J) does not matter.
Using tire pressures above the minimum has the following consequences:
- quick grinding of the central part of the tire;
- poor handling;
- There is a high risk of the wheel exploding.
Moreover, if a tire bursts while you are not driving, this can lead to extremely unpleasant consequences. For example, if the front wheel on the driver's side fails, the car may drift into the oncoming lane. Which will lead to a serious accident.
Tire pressure should be checked before each trip. It is best to use a special device for this - a pressure gauge. It can be mechanical or electronic.
Many owners specially inflate tires to 1.7-1.8 atm. The main reason is greater ride comfort - thanks to the low pressure, shocks to the suspension are practically not transmitted to the passenger compartment and to the steering wheel. However, low tire pressure causes:
- rapid wear of the tread - it wears down at the edges an order of magnitude faster;
- increased fuel consumption - for every 100 km of travel, gasoline is consumed by 5-15% more.
Operating a vehicle with half-flat tires is dangerous. It is advisable to avoid such practices.
Attica wheels on Priora
Most of the wheels for this Lada model are produced at factories inside Russia, and they fully meet the quality requirements imposed on them by car owners, and also have a reasonable price.
"Lada Priora"
One of the most popular brands is Attika. Such wheels are even installed on luxury car models already at the factory, since the AvtoVAZ concern has direct agreements with suppliers. These wheels have the following characteristics and advantages:
- The wheels are produced at the K&K plant, which has long had a warm relationship with the automobile concern and provides impeccable performance properties.
- They have 2 color options at once - Black Platinum A, painted in a brutal dark metallic, as well as a light shade called Silver A, which is very convenient for both owners of black and white cars.
- They are available in several radius sizes - R13, R14, R15, and also have a width of 5.5J and 6.0J, which is especially convenient for seasonal changing of wheels, when in summer a tire width of 175 mm is sufficient, and in winter you can install 185 mm for better grip. with a slippery road surface. Exclusive, more expensive options for low-profile tires are also available in sizes R16 and R17.
- Due to our own production in Russia, the cost of production does not include unnecessary expenses for transportation and customs clearance of cargo, which makes the wheels relatively cheap - the entire set of 4 wheels costs from 10 thousand rubles* with a minimum size.
- Various design options, characteristics of reach, including negative ones, will satisfy the wishes of even the most demanding customer.
- They are sold at almost every authorized VAZ dealer and at numerous car markets in the Russian Federation in huge quantities, which allows the driver to replace even one wheel without purchasing a whole set, as sellers often require when selling imported products.
How will the behavior of the Lada Priora on 17 wheels change?
A fashionable change will not only be a visual reformation of your car. The technical characteristics of transport will change significantly. We have already talked about some reforms, discussing the pros and cons of such modifications. But it is worth remembering the main transformation. This is the comfort of the trip. For some reason, many people believe that large rims protect against minor bumps and make the car softer. In fact, the behavior of Priora at 17″ will be as follows:
- the stiffness of the suspension will increase significantly, and this will be a very noticeable change for the car; medium and large bumps in the car will go through with a roar and shaking in the cabin;
- the smallest bumps will indeed be easier to overcome, but without modifications to the suspension, driving the car will be quite unpleasant, and the reaction to potholes will increase;
- you will have to get used to all the habits of the car, including braking and steering, so first you should drive along less active streets and try all the driving modes;
- the ground clearance will not change too noticeably, so when undertaking this whole change for the sake of raising the car, it is worth abandoning this idea and applying other methods;
- turning the steering wheel on a stationary car without power steering will become an almost impossible task, the ride comfort for the driver will change significantly, and this is also not the best change.
Looking at such reformations, many may abandon the idea of installing giant wheels on the Priora. In fact, it sounds worse than it feels. After several days of driving your new acquisitions, you will feel confident in the car. Only in some situations will the non-original nature of the wheels be visible, which exceed all reasonable limits for a given car. And this is important to consider if you didn’t like the changes on your first trip. Don't rush to change everything back.
How to choose the right wheel size for a Lada Priora
In order for the car owner to make the right choice and purchase exactly the wheels he needs, he must know a few simple rules regarding this brand of car, in particular:
- All wheels on the Lada Priora, regardless of manufacturer, size and material, must have the same drilling and bolt pattern parameters: the diameter of the central hole is 58 mm, and the length and number of studs, traditional for all VAZ models, is 4x98.
- R14 is the most popular option, since it is the one that is installed at the factory, and when changing disks you can always contact an official dealer without resorting to any expensive products in markets and car shops. The main dimension of these wheels is 5.5J x 14H2 ET35, and the special design of the wheel arches with a rim offset of 35 allows you to install several tire sizes at once - 175/70R13, 175/65R14, 185/60R14, 185/65R14 and 185/55R15, as in both winter and summer versions.
- Wheels on the Priora R15 are a less popular option; they can be either stamped, cast or forged; they are used to replace wheels yourself, at the driver’s request. The main geometric parameters of such wheels are 6.0J x 15H2 ET35, and from this it can be seen that the rim offset relative to the center of the mount is the same value as the previous version, which means that the tires should be installed with a smaller profile, which is better adapted to sports driving on good roads. The main recommended tire size is 195/55/R15.
- R16 - wheels installed specifically for sporty driving around the city in the summer, can be either “stamped” or “forged”, have a complex design and correspond to the status of the car owner. For the Priora, 2 main sizes are suitable at once - 6.0J x 16H2 ET35 and 6.5J x 16H2 ET35. In this case, rubber can also have 2 main parameters - 195/50/R16 and 205/45/R17, and the latter option obliges the car owner to install additional plastic mud flaps around the perimeter of the wheel arch, and otherwise a wide wheel will definitely quickly pollute the body of the Priora. .
- For the most sophisticated drivers, wheels with parameters of 6.5J x 17H2 ET35 are offered, which can be equipped with 205/40/R17 tires, and they are much more expensive than the previous ones, and are also often available in a forged version. However, with such low-profile tires, the driver can safely drive on asphalt at maximum speeds and not be afraid of sharp turns.
R17 wheels for Lada Priora
Popular manufacturers
Prior owners primarily highlight tires from the following manufacturers:
- Matador - a good example would be the Matador MP92 Sibir Snow 195/55 R15 85T, a friction type with good driving performance and a price starting from 4,000 rubles* per unit.
- Goodyear, an example would be the quiet friction Goodyear UltraGrip 9 with good grip and controllability, costing from 4,000 rubles per unit.
- Bridgestone with the winter studded model Bridgestone Blizzak SPIKE-02 175/65 R14 82T, designed for the harsh conditions of the Russian winter and costing from 3,400 rubles per unit.
- The Yokohama brand with the Yokohama iceGuard Stud iG55 175/65 R14 86T XL model is a high-speed winter studded model with high wear resistance, excellent handling and a cost of 4,000 rubles per unit.
- Domestic, as an example, “Kama 505” is a studded and durable model of winter tires for a budget price of 2,700 rubles per unit.
Characteristics of alloy wheels "Black Edition" on the Lada Priora
Along with foreign automobile concerns, AvtoVAZ always offers its customers several variants of cars of the same model, and each modification has its own advantages and, accordingly, different prices. One of the flagships of the model is the Black Edition modification, which has been produced since 2016 and has the largest number of technical and electronic innovations. But the most notable thing is that it has a beautiful glossy black metallic finish and additional stylish moldings, also black.
The wheels for this configuration are also unusual. First of all, this is a high-quality “casting”, with a stylish wheel design - 12 thin spokes evenly support the rim, creating a feeling of sporty style. In addition, the increased strength of steel eliminates the risk of wheel deformation even when falling into a deep hole or hitting an obstacle.
The wheels are painted matte black, and it matches perfectly with the shade of the body of the car itself and gives the Priora a menacing look.
The wheel size 6.0J x 15H2 ET35 allows you to install 195/55/R15 tires, which largely ensures stability on the road, and also allows you to install winter tires without purchasing new wheels, because the parameters are universal for any season of the year.
Wheels for Priora Black Edition
How are they different from summer ones?
Unlike summer tires, winter tires have the following features:
- A special rubber composition allows it to remain soft in severe frosts. This is especially true for friction tires that adhere to the road surface by adhesion. Silica is added to the composition of winter tires, the composition is constantly being improved so that the tires can withstand maximum sub-zero temperatures.
- Rubber must be soft, elastic and durable, because in winter there is a high risk of damage from pieces of ice, hard snow, and icy roadsides. Strength is also achieved by improving the rubber composition, adding silicic acid to it, as well as increasing the strength of the side tread blocks. An important point is the controllability of the car on slippery roads. It is achieved thanks to the course longitudinal ribs of the tread.
- To remove the abundant water on the roads and snow porridge in winter, winter tires have an increased level of siping and a greater depth of grooves. The deep tread pattern also helps tires self-clean from snow and slush.
- For better grip on the road and especially on icy surfaces, many winter tires are equipped with metal studs, which provide good grip and braking, but are quite noisy.
In severe winter conditions with icy roads and snow, the use of winter tires is strongly recommended, since summer tires may not cope with control on difficult and slippery roads, creating emergency situations.
Priorovskie wheels from Grants Sport
Often, Priora owners pay attention to the exclusive car from the concern - Lada Granta Sport. The car is made in the spirit of the times, has a real combat look and wheels with parameters 195/50/R16. Almost every ambitious Priora owner has a great desire to install just such wheels on his car, but there are both advantages and disadvantages, namely:
- Multi-spoke alloy wheels with these geometric parameters, crowned with a massive steel rim and low-profile tires, create a stunning effect, distinguishing the car from the rest on the road.
- The Chinese manufacturer was able to satisfy the quality requirements of the plant, and all wheels come perfectly smooth and homogeneous in composition and do not require serious balancing when installing them assembled on a car.
- One of the downsides is that these wheels on the Priora are in no way compatible with the fender liners, since the rubber simply rests against them and wears them out, which also damages the protectors. To avoid this, the driver will have to completely get rid of the plastic protection on his car, exposing the body to aggressive environmental influences, especially in winter.
- In addition, the cost of these products is clearly too high, and it is advisable to install it only on the premium Priora models, since otherwise they will stand out too much against the background of a poor exterior package without sports body kits, moldings, grilles and headlights.
Wheels for the Lada Granta Sport
Thus, experts advise car enthusiasts to refrain from installing these wheels and try to find something on the market that is more suitable specifically for the Priora.
Features of tires for driving in winter
Tires for driving in the winter season, due to weather and natural conditions, require certain differences from summer and all-season tires. They should more effectively remove water, snow, slush, ice and snow chips that are present on winter roads. In addition, winter tires should show better grip on the road surface, not slip on ice, icy roads and should not freeze. Therefore, winter tires have a number of design features.

What kind of wheels can be installed on the Priora hatchback?
Over the 11-year history of its existence, Lada Priora has been produced in various body modifications: sedans, station wagons, coupes and even hatchbacks, which are considered more exclusive, and the manufacturer offers slightly different wheel rim options that have been officially registered for the model.
Due to the fact that the Lada Priora hatchback is considered a more prestigious and expensive modification of the model, 14-radius wheels are not installed on it at all, and all models in the factory version have wheel parameters of 6.0J x 15H2 ET35, which is quite convenient for installing tires both 15 and 16 radii.
These dimensions are also suitable for this car, subject to the necessary drilling, bolting, strengthening the suspension and careful operation of the car on small profile tires, because many drivers refuse 40 or 45 lift, considering it “duct tape”, unsuitable for comfortable driving.
If the car will be used for transporting goods, you should choose either the cheapest stamped Lada Priora wheels, which you won’t mind replacing later, or, on the contrary, high-quality “casting” or forged wheels, since damage is possible when driving under a significant load. In addition, tires must always be tubeless and also of good quality in order to avoid their rupture during operation.
Exclusive wheels for Priora
Drivers who want to change the color of the wheels can not overpay for already painted wheels, but purchase a cheaper but simpler K&K brand, then contact a tuning studio for this service, and it will be performed without a major blow to the owner’s budget.
To prevent damage to the suspension from too low a rubber profile, the chassis must be strengthened in specialized workshops, and after this procedure the car will operate reliably for many years and will not be afraid of potholes on the road.
“Lada Priora” can easily be called the people's car. At the same time, this is the car to which its owners probably made the most changes and modifications. And a lot of them are related to suspension and tires. This is all the more paradoxical since in the first versions only one wheel size was offered on the Lada Priora. But let’s take a step-by-step look at what wheels are on the Priora and which ones can be installed.
Recommendations for storing and caring for discs
- During a routine technical inspection, check the geometry and balancing of the wheel on a special diagnostic stand. If deviations are detected, restore the integrity of the structure;
- If cracks or dents form on the rim, immediately contact a service station for preventive maintenance;
- Avoid hitting road potholes at high and medium speeds. Regardless of the material or workmanship, the disk will be deformed and the seal will be compromised;
- Monitor the tire pressure; it should not be lower/higher than recommended by the manufacturer. If it deviates, pump it up;
- Switch to summer/winter mode in a timely manner. This means that in summer the tire pressure is 0.15 atm higher, and in winter it is lower by the same amount. The parameters are specified in the vehicle operating instructions;
- Tighten the rim nuts with a torque wrench. Excessive tightening contributes to the breakage of the studs, weak - an emergency situation, unscrewing the wheel.
In dry, sunny weather, cast aluminum wheels are least susceptible to external damage. But in slush, ice, when the road is strewn with various chemicals, the rim is most susceptible to corrosion. This provokes paint peeling and destruction of the molecular composition.
Wash your wheels as they get dirty. Since it is unlikely that you can clean it properly with a rag, use high-pressure compressors. Equipment of this class is available at many service stations, workshops, and service centers.
Systematic polishing allows you to get rid of scratches and burrs. First clean the wheel from dirt, dry it thoroughly, and then treat it with a chemical. Wipe several times with a microfiber cloth.
Factory wheels on Priora
When production started in 2007, the car was offered with only one wheel option. In the factory configuration, the tire size marked 185/60R14 86H was used, and the wheel rim on the Priora had parameters of 5.5Jx14 4/98 ET35 d58.5. This decision was dictated by the need to save money and reduce the cost of the car. And judging by data from the official website, this continued until 2015.
And only from 2015 to 2022, five options for wheel parameters for Priora appeared in the operating manuals. Therefore, you can see in the table what wheel size the Priora had in the last years of production of this model.
Tire size | Disk options |
175/70R13 82H | 5Jx13 4/98 ET35 d58.5 |

What wheels are installed on the Priora from the factory? Wheel rims were either stamped steel of our own production (most often from the Tolyatti Steel Wheels Plant (T3SK)), or cast wheels produced by K&K. The most popular model of alloy wheels is “Attica”. AvtoVAZ's factory tires are supplied by Nizhnekamskshina and Sibur-Kordiant.

It’s also worth stopping at thirteen-inch wheels. They were installed only on cars with eight-valve engines, and cars with this configuration were equipped with smaller brake calipers. That is, you cannot use 13-inch wheels for installation on cars that are factory equipped with fourteen-inch and fifteen-inch wheels.
However, replacing wheels with a smaller radius on a Priora is a rare case. And judging by unofficial online surveys, thirteen-inch wheels cost less than 1% of cars of this model in all of Russia. Quite the contrary - car owners want to increase the diameter of the wheels on their Priora. Below we will discuss how this can be done so that such tuning does not affect handling.
- acceleration will be significantly more difficult, since the engine will have to be loaded much more to overcome the resistance of the wider and larger wheels on the Priora;
- fuel consumption will increase for the same reasons; on a car with a small unit, consumption can increase by 30-40%, which depends on the condition of the engine and the type of tire;
- control will be somewhat more difficult, and if you have a power steering, the latter can break down very often, since the load on the system will increase significantly, and this will lead to costs;
- braking may lose its sharpness, you will have to wait longer for the car to stop, the braking distance will increase, and the wear of the brake pads on the car will increase;
- the cost of tires will increase significantly, since 17 tires often cost twice as much as rubber on stock 14 wheels, which will greatly affect the operating budget of the car.
These are the kind of troubles that can await a person who decides to change the wheels on a Priora to 17 inches. The same applies to 16 disks, which give approximately the same results. If you want to avoid such problems, but still increase the wheel size, you should buy 15-piece alloy wheels with the same tire width and approximately the same final diameter. That is, the height of the rubber profile should be slightly less than on the stock size.
Wheel bolt pattern on Priora
First, let’s talk about the bolt pattern parameters on Priora wheels. It is always 4x98, that is, all wheel rims are mounted with 4 bolts and the distance between them is 98 mm. The size of the central hole of the wheel rim is always 58.5 mm.
Disc with bolt pattern 4x98
Let us remind you that this parameter is important to take into account when selecting alternative wheels for your car - you simply cannot install wheels with a different bolt pattern, so always study the markings on the disk.
The disc mounts on the Priora are marked M12x1.25, where 12 is the diameter of the stud in mm, and 1.25 is the thread size. But if you install non-standard size wheels, you will have to buy extended mounts.
We also add that the 4x98 bolt pattern is traditional for almost all AvtoVAZ models. Including for the VAZ-2110, which was the predecessor of the Priora. Although the wheels from Vesta will not fit on the Priora, when switching to the new model, AvtoVAZ decided to install wheels with a 4x100 bolt pattern.
- the stiffness of the suspension will increase significantly, and this will be a very noticeable change for the car; medium and large bumps in the car will go through with a roar and shaking in the cabin;
- the smallest bumps will indeed be easier to overcome, but without modifications to the suspension, driving the car will be quite unpleasant, and the reaction to potholes will increase;
- you will have to get used to all the habits of the car, including braking and steering, so first you should drive along less active streets and try all the driving modes;
- the ground clearance will not change too noticeably, so when undertaking this whole change for the sake of raising the car, it is worth abandoning this idea and applying other methods;
- turning the steering wheel on a stationary car without power steering will become an almost impossible task, the ride comfort for the driver will change significantly, and this is also not the best change.
Wheels suitable for Priora
What wheels can be installed on the Priora if you want to replace the factory ones? AvtoVAZ does not recommend tire sizes other than those specified in the operating manual, which we indicated above! But the manufacturer allows wide wheels on the Priora. But only if you change the rim width.
For thirteen-inch wheels, it is allowed to increase the width from 5 to 5.5 inches. And for fourteen-inch wheels, it is allowed to use wheels that are narrower or wider than standard - either 5-inch wide or 6-inch wide instead of the standard 5.5J wide. For fifteen-inch wheels, it is not recommended to change the rim width!
Also, according to AvtoVAZ, it is not worth changing the wheel offset. In fact, you can only install large wheels on a Priora without violating the manufacturer’s requirements if you have 13 or 14-inch wheels. But when have car owners been stopped by a car manufacturer's recommendations? If the question is “what wheels to put on a Priora,” many are even ready to make changes to the design of the car just to achieve a stylish result. Therefore, there are quite a lot of options.
What wheels are installed on the Priora as an alternative?
Priora on 17-inch wheels
The huge list of options on the Priora can be explained by the fact that even standard wheels have a height of 575 mm (175/70 R13) to 596 mm (185/65 R14). It is these dimensions that you should focus on when choosing alternatives, so that the new wheels fit into the wheel arches and do not rub against the fender liners. And this also allows you to install even 17-inch wheels with 205/40 R17 tires on the Priora, which have a total height of 596 mm. Moreover, without changing the design of the car, that is, cutting the bumper or arches.
In the case of an overhang, a calculator will help you decide which wheels can be installed on the Priora. The smaller the offset, the more the wheels stick out. But you can compensate for this with the width of the rim. Or if you want to install wider wheels, then it is better not to change the offset. Or get wheels with a longer offset so they sit deeper. Also focus on how many millimeters you still have left in the wheel arches.
We have compiled the list of acceptable wheel sizes for Priora into one table.
Diameter | Tire size | Disk options |
14 | 185/65 R14 | 5.5Jx14, offset ET32-38 |

When choosing the maximum size of wheels and tires, remember that even a slight overinflation can create big problems when driving a car! Follow the recommendations for air pressure in the tires; the pressure on the front and rear axles should be 0.2 (2.0) MPa (bar).
Winter wheels on Priora
Winter tire options for Priora are available in the table below. But with large-diameter winter tires that sit side by side in the summer, don't forget that an aggressive tread pattern can increase the size of the tires and, as a result, they will catch on the fender liners.
Review of the best summer and winter tires
For Lada Priora, stores offer a large selection of different tire models. Since models marked R14, R15, R16 are used on most modern cars. It won’t be difficult to choose suitable wheels for winter and summer – separately.
A good solution for summer travel will be the Toyo Proxes CF2. The cost of one tire of this model is no more than 2,200 rubles. Allows you to easily take sharp turns and provides excellent maneuverability.
An equally profitable purchase is BFGoodrich g‑Grip. Despite the low cost (only 2,180 rubles), it performs well on the highway and in the city. The presence of deep slats eliminates aquaplaning.
Conti Premium Contact 5 is the fifth generation of the Continental series. The cost of one such tire is approximately 2,700 rubles. The main advantage of this modification is the ability to travel at speeds of more than 190 km/h and a short braking distance even on wet asphalt.
Nokian Hakka Green is a good option; it will cost the buyer only 2,400 rubles. The tires of this model are perfectly balanced and have a rigid central rib. It provides good maneuverability.
You need to be especially careful when choosing winter tires. The budget solution will be NEXEN 175/65R14 WG ICE PLUS. There are no thorns on it.
SAVA 175/65R14 ESKIMO S3 also do not have studs. However, deep tracks in the tread allow for excellent water drainage from the contact patch. This eliminates hydroplaning.
Rigid sides make the car well controlled on any road. GISLAVED 175/65R14 NORD FROST is equipped with a large number of studs - which significantly simplifies the procedure for moving on icy roads. Even bare ice will not be a hindrance.
PIRELLI 175/65R14 WINTER FORMULA is a balanced tire designed for a maximum speed of 190 km/h and a load of up to 475 kg. The presence of studs evenly distributed over the surface allows you not to worry about braking. GOODYEAR VECTOR 4SEASONS GEN-2 will cost relatively inexpensively - just over 3,500 rubles.
Weather Reactive technology was used in production. Thanks to it, the wheels can easily adapt to any, even the most difficult conditions.
It is important to use suitable tires - this will make the car easier to drive and prevent an accident. Installation of non-standard wheels is allowed. However, in some cases, modifications are required.
Size matters
The manufacturer of these cars equips their models at the factory with standard wheels and tires. They can be replaced with others if the wheel bolt pattern allows, and the new tires do not rub against body parts and chassis.
It is better to entrust the selection of elements of such tuning to a specialist. It is especially good if the tires and wheels on the VAZ Priora are replaced at the same time. In this case, it will be possible to take into account all the parameters necessary for a comfortable and safe ride, depending on your preferred driving style.
If you do this yourself, before purchasing, you should carefully study the advice of experts and reviews of real customers about each suitable model of wheels and tires.
VAZ 2107
There are several types of tires for the seven. The industry produces them in seasonal versions:
- Summer,
- Winter,
- All-season.
In order to save money, drivers prefer to install all-season wheels on their cars; their standard size is 175/70R13 82T, where:
175 — profile width;
70 is the ratio of the height to the width of the profile.
R - radial type tire.
13 — landing diameter.
82 - load capacity coefficient.
T is the highest speed developed by a car on such wheels.
Generation 2
In 2013, Lada Priora was updated. You shouldn't look for dramatic changes in the model's appearance, but new touches and details have appeared here. After restyling, the model received headlights with daytime running lights, brake lights and taillights with LEDs. Instead of a rectangular shape, the radiator grille was made pentagonal with a honeycomb cladding structure. The rear bumper received an energy-absorbing insert and a new design. However, the dimensions of the model remained the same.
There were much more changes in the interior. Inside the restyled Lada Priora, new finishing materials and modified seats have appeared, and the architecture of the front panel has changed. A color display with touch control was installed at the top of the center console. The seat backs have increased by 40 mm, which has a positive effect on comfort. The interior of the updated Lada Priora has become quieter.
In addition to design changes, the technical part has also been improved. The model has an improved suspension and new steering with a lower gear ratio. The main difference was the advanced 1.6-liter unit with dynamic supercharging producing 106 hp. The previous power plants remained available. The configurations did not change either. Lada Priora was still offered in “Standard”, “Norma” and “Lux” versions with the following types of wheels and tires:
- 5.5J wheels on 14 ET37, tires – 175/65R14;
- 5.5J wheels on 14 ET37, tires – 185/65R14;
- 5.5J wheels on 14 ET37, tires – 185/60R14;
- 6J wheels on 14 ET35, tires – 195/60R14;
- 6.5J wheels on 15 ET35, tires – 185/55R15;
- 6.5J wheels on 15 ET35, tires – 195/55R15;
- 6.5J wheels on 16 ET35, tires – 195/50R16.
The model’s body was made of low-alloy steel and galvanized metal, which extended the warranty against corrosion to 6 years.

Put 185/65/14 for the winter, I skated 4 seasons on Ekagame 175/65/14, the track in the yards if you collected everything with the bottom, but on 185/65/14 (Bridgestone spike) everything is smooth, you fly by with a bang, summer by the way on 185/60/14, I’ll take 185/65/14, on our roads, the higher the profile, the softer the holes you fly over.
Well, I had 185/60/14 in the summer, when I installed 185/65/14 that spring and drove out, I didn’t recognize the car; for our roads, of course, a higher profile is needed... I’ll probably take the same one for the winter.
186/65/14 I've been driving the hack for 4 years, everything drives fine around the city. Right now I took the Linden 185/60/14 and haven’t driven it yet. 175/65/14 is supposed to be better for winter, it's up to you to decide
From the factory on the Priora 185/60/14, 175 tires were never installed on a car with a 16kl engine, and it looks ugly (narrow, like from a motorcycle), I installed 185/65/14, the width is excellent but high (like on a jeep), now I set it to 185/60/14, it looks right, only this size is an order of magnitude more expensive than 175/65/14 and 185/65/14! Regarding the size 175/65/14, it fits 9.14 better, in summer I have 195/50/15

You confused summer tires with winter tires)))))
I didn't confuse anything
I tried it on the 185-65-14 on a blown road, it bounces in the snow in scythes and becomes uncontrollable, but the 175-65-14 cuts through the snow perfectly and rides much more informatively
On tires of the same brand?
Yes cordiant polar
I also asked this question: I bought a car for 195*50*15 in the summer, for the winter, after monitoring, I took Yokohama 175*65*14, although I also took 14 stamping wheels. There are no roads, after changing shoes for winter 14, it was as if I had changed the suspension, it became much softer. There is no snow yet, there is nothing to say about this yet.
Have you bought Ekohama recently? How much?
The manufacturer is somewhere in Malaysia or China? The price is not particularly expensive.
I rode 2 winters on 185/60r14, Matador Velcro. Now Hankuk is successfully taken to the top ten, I haven’t checked it yet
Matador is an excellent tire. I drive it myself, season 3 has started. It holds the road perfectly, and there is practically no noise.
Wheels with original design
The desire of car enthusiasts to make their Priora extraordinary, recognizable and stand out in the crowd has influenced the spare parts market. There are a huge variety of wheels on the shelves of specialized stores. The original design is reflected in the shape, size and number of spokes.
Among the large number of models there are successful designs; installing them means not only changing the appearance of the car, but also improving its dynamic qualities. They can be painted to match the color of the car or have a chrome coating, which provides high anti-corrosion properties and the aesthetic appeal of the car.
Grand Cherokee in detail
Interior
Depending on the configuration, the Grand Cherokee can be either simply comfortable or extremely luxurious. All models seat five people in two rows; a third row is not even available as an option. Passengers get ample personal space, while there is 1.0 m3 of storage space. With the rear seats folded down, cargo volume increases to 1.9 m3. The base model Laredo looks a little odd with cloth upholstery and power-adjustable seats, but the situation improves on top-trim models. They guarantee leather upholstery, ventilation and cooling of the front seats.

Exterior
The modern Grand Cherokee has an attractive, massive design. True to its roots, the SUV guarantees 21.8 cm of ground clearance. The performance model SRT offers 21.1 cm, and the Trackhawk 20.5 cm of ground clearance. The latter also stands out due to the square exhaust pipes and the “supercharged” emblem at the bottom of the front doors. Among other features, the Trackhawk boasts red tow hooks, an anti-glare hood cover, and 18-inch wheels. Despite its high profile, the Grand Cherokee is easy to get into. However, the tailgate can be difficult to reach, especially when it is fully open. In this case, an electric drive is provided.
Basic equipment
The Grand Cherokee lineup currently includes seven trim levels, including the new Trackhawk. Starting with the base Laredo model, you can expect a V6 engine, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, parking sensors and a rearview camera. Limited models offer a power liftgate, power front seats, heated front and rear seats and the option of a 5.7-liter V8 or 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine.
Optional equipment
From all-wheel drive to the 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and CarPlay/Android Auto, the Grand Cherokee has plenty of options. Some of them can be obtained by upgrading to another configuration. The new Cherokee Trailhawk, for example, comes with all-wheel drive and ventilated front seats. Music lovers will love the Harman/Kardon audio system. Safety will be taken care of by cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane keeping system and automatic braking.
