This is a 16-valve in-line four-cylinder turbocharged power unit that fully complies with EURO eco-standards - 5 and 6. The working capacity of the engine is 1390 cc, piston stroke - 75.5 mm, cylinder diameter - 76.5 mm. The main characteristics of the turbo engine, according to preliminary information, are as follows: peak power 149 hp. (110 kW) at 5500 rpm, maximum torque - 240 Nm. The base for the new turbocharged power unit was a naturally-aspirated engine with a capacity of 1.4 liters VAZ-11194, with a maximum power of 89 hp, which was equipped with the first generation Kalina. The VAZ-11192 differs from the previous type in a lightweight crankshaft, an improved cylinder block made of cast iron, a modernized gas distribution mechanism, and a modified connecting rod and piston group. The new engine also acquired additional components: a turbocharger, an intake module, an injector ramp, an exhaust manifold, water and oil pumps, and a receiving pipe with a converter. Presumably, a gearbox from the Renault-Nissan alliance will work with the turbo engine, since the manufacturer does not have the necessary gearbox that could cope with such torque. But, an imported gearbox can significantly increase the price of a turbocharged power plant. In this regard, the issue with the transmission for the turbocharged power unit remains unresolved.

Although we cannot confidently and 100% say that the overall design has been significantly and completely improved. Indeed, according to engineers and manufacturers, the Grant uses more than 400 new unique parts, systems and mechanisms, including in appearance, which is a big plus for the new product. What dramatic changes and changes can be noted and named here?

There is an airbag and ABS, oh yes, and even a gear indicator.
There is plenty of room in the Granta's cabin, there is very decent headroom (my height is 185 cm), the stove fully fulfills its obligations, the heated windshield is a thing! Very comfortably. Heating and electrically adjustable mirrors are a very useful function, especially when parking, and the mirrors themselves are beautiful - the visibility they provide inspires respect.
Never let me down. Good reliable car. Low consumption on the highway. The suspension is indestructible. Larger trunk. The stove works as a heater. In winter you warm up quickly. Economical car. Easy to use. Economical and responsive engine, did not consume oil. Large mirrors. Lots of useful goodies at a reasonable price. Comfortable driver's seat.
The Lada Granta sedan is generally a good budget car; you can’t buy another for this money! The driver's seat is comfortable, and it handles well on the highway. I’m glad I saved up for it. I was pleased with the new instrument panel and the glove compartment at the top of the panel.

The Lada Granta 2022 sedan has a new front bumper with chrome inserts, a radiator grille and headlights, but in addition the shape of the front fenders and hood has been changed. The metamorphosis of the stern is not so significant: the wings and lights remain the same, but the trunk lid with a small tail-spoiler is new and the platform for the license plate has been moved to it. The modified rear bumper has a black insert, and in general the Granta sedan now looks less heavy than before. The wheel design has also changed. Turn signals in mirror housings appeared on expensive versions of the pre-restyling Grant.
Salon
The interior of the car has undergone significant modifications. The quality of materials has improved, the list of options has expanded, and the level of safety and comfort has increased. The new Lada Granta 2022 model year is finished with soft and pleasant plastic, good fabric and even artificial leather.
The center console of the car is in many ways similar to what was there in the old version of the car. Only now everything is dominated by a small screen of the multimedia system, which is controlled by both buttons and touches. In addition to it, on the dashboard you can see round deflectors and washers for adjusting the air conditioner with heater. The rich package also includes connectors for accessories.
The steering wheel, although not rich, still looks quite interesting. It has medium dimensions, a nice finish and a comfortable grip. There are some buttons on the spokes that are really missing. The changes also affected the dashboard. On it you can see huge round sensors, traditionally displaying the speed of the car and engine speed. In the center of the panel there is a small on-board computer display that notifies the driver of various faults.
The seats have been slightly modified. The seats are now upholstered in good fabric, and they are not padded with such hard material as before. The front row is complemented by seat adjustments using mechanical drives, heating and good lateral support. The designers assure that the car will have an enlarged trunk, in which you can transport all the essentials for traveling.
