The third reason for a poor battery charge lies, of course, in the alternator belt. If it doesn’t reach enough or something gets on it, say oil, then it will slip. The belt must be dry and taut. The fourth reason is the generator, but there is no need to rush and immediately run for a new generator for your Lada Kalina, perhaps your voltage regulator has failed or the brushes have worn out, if this is the case, then you need to replace it.

70,000 km there were also problems with the gene. First I changed the brushes, and after a couple of months the diode bridge broke down. I removed the gene - the contact paths were badly eaten, the bearings rattled/played, the diode bridge died...replaced it with a new generator similar to it. The old one was left until better times for parts or restoration. By the way, it’s very easy to “get by” without a hole - I removed everything, unscrewing the front protection and pulling out the air filter (the car had a 16 valve with air conditioner).
