The central part of the bumper will be unpainted - both in the off-road version and in the regular version. Despite the fact that the appearance has become more aggressive and the roof rack looks massive, the body has retained almost all the dimensions of the previous model, and a slight increase was due to plastic lining. The fog lights and headlights became narrower, and to protect them, steel linings were installed, the radiator received a powerful metal lining, and the bottom was protected with a large sheet of metal.

Inside the cabin, a dashboard with expanded functionality was installed, on which there is a special console for reproducing data from the on-board computer. Above the panel there are glossy black overlays, and the backlight is made in turquoise tones.

Despite the fact that the designers made the shape in the form of a triangle, with a black background, the optics themselves have a round lens with LED running lights. High and low beam are implemented based on the same LEDs, but in separate units. The designers did not forget about the rectangular direction indicators, placing them at the end of the hood lid; they are also based on LEDs. Due to such calculations, the new Lada Niva 2022 SUV has acquired a new style, but still a recognizable look. The hood in the new generation has only changed in size and received rounded lines, the central part is slightly recessed, and two bends stretch from the radiator grille to the windshield. As before, the hood cover of the Lada Niva 2018 lies on top of the radiator grille and front wings. The windshield was also changed, especially the size and angle of inclination, wider at the bottom and narrower at the top.
The front bumper of the new Lada Niva 2022 has not inherited anything from previous generations of the domestic SUV. In the center there is a large, dedicated engine protection, on the sides there are massive air intakes with a mesh insert and LED foglights, and the bottom along the perimeter is emphasized by plastic protection.
From the side, the new Lada Niva 2022 looks more like a familiar SUV. A line stretches from the front hood to the rear stops, uniquely dividing the car into an upper and lower part. Door handles, without exception, will be painted in body color and made in a modern way, like in foreign cars. The lower part of the Lada Niva 2022 only boasts plastic protection, and in some trim levels there are side steps for comfortable seating.
The upper side of the Lada Niva 2022 has received noticeable changes. The side mirrors have increased in width, received a black mount and a body painted to match the body color. On the sides there are vertical turn signals, rather than horizontal ones, as is often the case. The front door windows have become slightly larger, and the rear windows have also increased, receiving an elongated shape instead of a square one. Nevertheless, the designers of Lada Niva 2022 also left the same highlight on the rear pillars, in the form of three holes. The rear pillars received a greater slope, which made it possible to increase space for the second row of seats.

So far there is no reliable option for the rear of the Lada Niva 2022, but from the options presented, it becomes clear that a lot depends on the configuration. The first option is a previously recognizable SUV, with modern features. On the body there are LED rear lights with well-defined blocks; the central part is occupied by the usual trunk lid with a smooth slope at the top. The end part is reserved for nameplates, the company logo and license plates. The rear bumper of the new Lada Niva 2022 is quite simple, there is a small step in the center, and the side part is rounded. The lower part is decorated with black plastic protection; at the junction of the two parts there are two elongated LED fog lights.

This made it possible to make the rear row of seats full.
The luggage compartment has also increased. In 420 liters you can cram all four wheels for changing shoes, and there will still be plenty of space for all sorts of off-road belongings. And if you fold the backrest, you can lie down to rest after difficult off-road tests.
The size of the front doors has also increased - getting in has become noticeably more convenient. Of course, the increase in the wheelbase had a negative impact on cross-country ability, but it had to be sacrificed for the sake of spaciousness. The “three-door” is still a car for an egoistic individual, and not a family car.
