The choice of tires and wheels affects not only the external design of the car, but also the behavior of vehicles on the roads. Car manufacturers indicate acceptable dimensions. Let's look at what wheels can be installed on a Largus, and which ones are better for improving driving performance.
Most drivers replace standard wheels with more attractive ones
Memo on wheel and tire parameters.
The information is not new.
I reworked the original source for myself. Stock wheels: 4*100*15, ET50, CO 60.1, width 6. Stock tires: 185/65/15
Disc widths:
6.5 to 7.5 is the average optimal width, regardless of diameter. 8 and more - already requires a more careful selection of the wheel offset and tire width.
Rubber:
, The most optimal dimensions for “adequate” offset, depending on the wheel size: 15th - 195*65*15. 16th - 205*55 or 60*16 17th - 205*50 or 215*45*17. 18th - 215*40 or 205*45*18. 19th - 215*35 or 40*19. 20th - 225*30*20 or 215*35*20.
Disc offset - ET:
15th - ET from 40 to 45. 16th - ET from 40 to 45. (with 40 offset tires it is better to choose 195*60 or 55) 17th - ET from 42 to 46. 18th - from 42 to 46. 19th - from 42 to 45. 20th - from 40 to 45. The minimum offset value allows you to move the wheel out of the arch as much as possible, the maximum value allows you to recess the wheels. If on wheels from 15 to 17 there is a margin, you can not be too critical of the offset, but on sizes larger than 18 it plays the main role.
Example:
- we have wheels with tires 225*40*18 and an offset of 40. The width of the rim can be 7 or 7.5 - it doesn’t matter. As a result, such wheels will 100% rub the plastic in the area of the rear bumper when loading. There is only one way out - take 215*40*18 tires and wheels with an offset of 42 or more.

What non-standard sizes can be supplied?
Often, owners install wheels on their cars that are of a different size than the standard ones. According to statistics, one of the most common options is a wheel with a diameter of 14 inches with a dimension of 185/70 R14. A slightly less popular solution is a smaller width tire – 165/80 R14.
For wheels with a diameter of 15 inches - 195/65 mm. Some owners install tires of impressive width on their cars:
- 205/55 R16;
- 195/60 R16;
- 195/55 R16.
After minor modifications to the body, you can install wheels with a larger diameter - 17 inches. However, it should be remembered that the use of rubber and disks, the weight of which differs from the standard ones by more than 2-3 kg, will lead to accelerated wear of wheel bearings, ball joints and steering tips. When using wheels with a diameter of 17 inches, it is allowed to install tires of the following sizes:
- 205/50 mm;
- 205/45 mm;
- 225/45 mm;
- 215/50 mm.
If you choose the right wheels and modify the body, then it is quite possible to install tires measuring 215/35 mm and 215/40 mm with a diameter of 18 inches. However, such changes will significantly affect handling. You will need to use a special roller to roll out the wheel arches. First you should check how the wheel “sits”. Friction on the fender liner is not allowed. If the wheel tread touches the plastic wheel arch liners in any steering wheel position, this can cause serious problems:
- mudguard breakdowns;
- fender liner failure.
Also, when rubbing against plastic, the rubber tread quickly wears off. Which leads to the need to replace wheels prematurely. A good solution is to first “try on” the rubber and check its compatibility. This will help you avoid buying the wrong wheels.
Recommended wheel and tire sizes for Lada Largus
The size of tires and wheels not only adds style to the car, but also greatly influences the vehicle's performance on the road. Each manufacturer indicates acceptable standard sizes, and AVTOVAZ is no exception. In this review, we will look at the wheel size of the Lada Largus.
Based on reviews and surveys of Lada Largus car owners, we can summarize:
R is not a radius, but a designation of the radius of the tire, and the number is the diameter of the rim in inches. The most popular wheel sizes are shown in bold.
When choosing wheels, you should take into account the full diameter of the wheel; it should not differ much from the standard one. Compatibility table:
Green indicates the minimum deviation of the wheel diameter (up to 3 mm); Orange indicates a diameter deviation from 3 to 6 mm.
Don't forget about the rim width:
Features of wheels for the domestic model
In the technical manual, the inquisitive owner will find only one wheel option offered by the manufacturer - this is 185x65xR15. The factory installs stamped wheels with the specified dimensions. Since the Russian model Lada Largus is a “clone” of the Dacia Logan station wagon, produced since 2006, in the characteristics of the Romanian car you can find an indication of the identical wheel size.
The owners have gained experience installing 14-inch wheels. These products have the following dimensions - 185x70xR14. However, such wheel options are not very popular, and it is quite rare to see them on a car. Much more common modifications of r15 wheels - these are 15-inch wheels - are the following options:
- 195x55xR15;
- 205x60xR15;
- 195x60xR15.
A little less common are rims that measure 16 and even 17 inches. Among these options you can find the following standard sizes:
- 205x55xR16;
- 195x60xR16;
- 215x50xR17;
- 205x50xR17.
Well, you can’t ignore the exclusive versions with an impressive 18-inch dimensions.
This:
- 215x40xR18;
- 215x35xR18.
In the notation, R is the radius of the tire, and the numbers are the width of the tire and the height of its profile, respectively.

Attention! Installing larger wheels may lead to problems with ABS and ESP calibration (the systems may not work correctly).
What is the tire pressure
It is important to check the tire pressure level before each trip. If the value is too low:
- adhesion properties deteriorate;
- rubber may burst during a sharp turn;
- the tread wears unevenly;
- fuel consumption increases.
Excessive pressure also causes problems:
- adhesion properties with the road surface deteriorate;
- the car reacts more sensitively to all road irregularities;
- the load on the main body elements increases;
- There are extraneous noises in the cabin.
You can familiarize yourself with the recommended pressure parameters yourself. Detailed information about this is located on a special metal plate placed on the car door. For the front wheels, 2.4 bar is normal, for the rear wheels – 2.6. Moreover, the load and the number of passengers in the cabin do not have any significance.
To monitor tire pressure, it is best to keep a pressure gauge handy. Today you can buy it in any store - literally for 200-300 rubles. This amount is quite enough to purchase a mechanical or electronic pressure gauge.

The AvtoVAZ concern added the Cross prefix to the model name for a reason. It is understood that the model has increased off-road capabilities.
The parameters of the basic wheel rims are as follows:
- drilling parameter is 4×100;
- wheel width - 7.0 J;
- disc offset is ET 40;
- centering hole size - 60.1.
Knowing all the various methods for producing wheel rims and their advantages, you can choose a set of quality products for Lada Largus. In order for the disc to fit perfectly, you also need to know the basic parameters and dimensions of the mounts.

DIY tire replacement rules
In order to save money, many car enthusiasts are thinking about replacing tires themselves. The process is not the easiest, but doable. To work, you will need a balloon, mounting blades, a jack and a compressor or pump. When performing the procedure, you should take into account some tricks, without which this event is doomed to failure.
Removing the tire from the rim
First you need to remove the wheel from the hub. Then it is laid on the ground so that the nipple nipple is at the top. All the air is released from the tube or tire, in the case of a tubeless tire, and the nipple nipple is recessed inside. You need to stand on the wheel with your feet so that the edge of the tire separates from the rim of the disc. Sometimes extra force may be required if the rubber sticks to the metal.
A mounting blade is inserted into the gap between the edge of the tire and the disk, then a second one. The main task is to turn the sidewall of the tire beyond the edge of the rim. If the wheel has a tube, it is pulled out through the resulting gap. If the tire is tubeless, you need to unscrew the entire side of the tire by the rim, then unscrew the second sidewall of the tire using the same edge of the rim and remove it from the rim.
Mounting a tire on a rim
Before installation, make sure that the tire is the correct size and has no defects. It is recommended to remove the balancing weights and the old nipple. When installing, you should take into account the markings on the tire, usually the direction of travel in the form of arrows.
To facilitate the installation task, you can apply a soap solution to the edge of the tire and the rim of the disk, but within reasonable limits, otherwise the tire will slip. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. First, one edge of the tire is put on, after which the second one is wound on the rim.
Tire pressure and inflation
For wheels with a tube, everything is simple - you need to inflate the tube more than required in the manual (the pressure in Largus tires is no more than 2.1 atmospheres). This is necessary so that the tube sits evenly in the tire, after which you can deflate the air to the required values. For a tubeless tire the process is more complicated. When you try to inflate it, air will escape through the gap between the edge of the rim and the sidewalls of the tire.
You need to inflate any other wheel to 4 atmospheres. After this, remove the hose from the pump and put the end without a fitting on the nipple of the installed tire, the other end with a fitting is put on the inflated tire. Air under high pressure and at high speed will quickly fill an empty tire. This will be enough for it to sit tightly on the rim without having time to let air through the gaps. But it’s better to go to a tire shop, where this procedure will take a few minutes using special equipment. After the procedure, you will need to balance the wheels, which cannot be done in a garage without a machine.
Unlike all previous AvtoVAZ models, larger wheels are initially installed on Largus. This way, this model further emphasizes its relationship with other brands. Lada Largus is a joint product of AvtoVAZ and the Nissan-Renault concern.

Wheels for cars
Lada Largus is a station wagon with increased capability for transporting cargo. The car was released in 2011. The basis for the car was the Dacia Logan model, which is produced in Romania. "Largus" immediately became quite popular among car enthusiasts due to its increased capacity, low price and ease of maintenance.
Original alloy wheels "Lada Largus"
For any vehicle, wheels and tires are more than just a design element. It is on them that the behavior of the car on the road depends as much as possible. It is customary for all car manufacturers to indicate recommended dimensions for all their models. The AvtoVAZ concern is no exception.
However, it is not always and not among all manufacturers that it is customary to indicate the permissible dimensions and parameters of wheels. Often there are several options listed without specifying the minimum and maximum allowable ones. For example, in the official instruction manual for the Lada, the parameters of the wheels on the Largus are indicated in only two options:
- The usual model of the Largus station wagon should be equipped with products with a radius of R15.
- The all-terrain model "Largus Cross" is equipped with wheels size R16.
The AvtoVAZ concern does not recommend installing wheels of other sizes. Basically, they are replaced when the season changes, possible damage occurs, in which it is undesirable to use the product. In this case, replacing the disks with identical ones is explained by traffic safety.
Wheels for Lada Largus R15
Installing unsuitable wheels can affect the following characteristics:
- traffic safety;
- warranty conditions for the car, if the period has not yet expired;
- high-quality work of parts and suspension units;
- wear of chassis parts.
Since the car has become quite widespread on the roads of the country, there are many offers for the sale of wheels and tires for it. In the original configuration, the Largus is equipped with stamped wheels. In this case, many car enthusiasts are not satisfied with the appearance and characteristics of the car in motion. Then the stamped products are changed to cast or forged. Wheels on Largus size 15 are the only ones provided by the manufacturer, regardless of whether they are stamped or cast.
The Largus Cross model, even in the basic configuration, comes with installed cast parts.
Original alloy wheels on Largus Cross
If the owner has decided to replace the wheels, then there is plenty to choose from. The market offers stamped, cast and forged products of various sizes, colors and designs.
Car enthusiasts have the opportunity to purchase both original rims from the manufacturer and all kinds of replicas or used products. Various global manufacturers of cast and forged products are widely represented. These can be very popular, high-quality and expensive brands or lesser-known inexpensive ones.
As for seasonality, professionals recommend installing products with a smaller width and diameter for the winter. This is done to provide a higher level of stability on slippery roads and in bad weather. In the warm season, the size of wheels and tires does not play such a fundamental role. On the contrary, to get maximum stability and controllability, you need to choose wheels of larger diameter and width.

Compliance criteria for linear dimensions
Wheels with a diameter of 16 inches are standard by default for the Largus Cross when installed at the factory. And if the rim is damaged beyond repair, AvtoVAZ recommends replacing the damaged one with a disc that exactly matches the factory parameters: sixteen-inch, because the dimensions and shape of the wheel were designed for the safest and most trouble-free driving.
Not all motorists follow this rule. Many are guided by appearance and buy a more beautiful rim, not always taking into account its difference in diameter, width, etc. Let's take a closer look at the parameters that can or cannot be changed when installing a new disk.
Each manufacturer recommends certain wheel characteristics. They are indicated in the car’s passport data in the form of a formula. For example, this: 6J15PCD4-98et35DIA58.6, where 6J15 is the width and diameter of the rim in inches, the numbers 4 and 98 indicate, respectively, the number of bolt holes and the distance between the bolts in mm. Et - disc “overhang” (extrusion depth relative to the rim axis). This parameter can be either positive or negative, or zero. 58.6 is the diameter of the central hole in mm.
Purchasing a wheel other than the factory one in the above dimensions affects:
- quality of use of the vehicle chassis;
- suspension wear period;
- driving safety;
- risk of being denied warranty service.
The larger the rim diameter, the smaller the tire profile should be. The profile is also called the height of the tire. This is the vertical distance from where the wheel sits on the tire to the most protruding part of the tread. So this is what we get by increasing the rim. The wheel becomes lighter due to the reduction of the same tire profile, the car becomes more controllable, has better grip on the road, and, accordingly, becomes more stable.
But by increasing the diameter, you reduce the degree of passability of uneven areas, for example, when driving over rough terrain. And also due to the fact that there is less rubber between the rim and the road, it is easier to damage it. There is no point in reducing the profile from its rated value if you drive on poor-quality road surfaces.
The diameter of the center hole may be slightly larger than the diameter of the hub (the central part on which the disc is mounted). In this case, an additional adapter ring is used for installation and balancing.
If the diameter of the hole is smaller than the diameter of the hub, such a rim is not suitable: it simply cannot be secured.
Wheel sizes for Largus
It turns out that not everyone knows the size of the disks for our car, and what the marking numbers on the stamped disk mean:
Lada Largus/Renault 6×15 PCD 4x100 ET50 DIA60.1
, Where
6 x 15 - seat width of the tire in inches, solid disk (not split), disk diameter in inches 4 x 100 - 4 mounting bolts located around a circle with a diameter of 100 mm ET50 - disk offset DIA60.1 - landing diameter on the hub. This is the hole in the middle of the disk. The hub has a cylindrical protrusion with a diameter of 60, respectively. This is for centering the disk!
Can
take a rim with a width of 5.5, 6.5 or 7, but then you need to take the same tires. In addition, this size is related to ET.
It is forbidden
take a disc
with another
PCD. It is clear that it is not possible to tighten 5 bolts into 4 holes, or 4 bolts located on a 110 mm circle will also not tighten - with any other PCD, the holes simply do not match.
Can
cook ET50. Those who like to drive or show off reduce this size with spacers or ready-made discs to change the characteristics of the car. But you need to know that in addition to increasing stability, reducing ET leads to an increase in the load on the wheel bearing. If you really like the disc, then within small limits you can still take it with another ET.
Elsewhere I found this picture and formula:
Can
take a disk
with a large
DIA, for example, 67.1, but in this case an additional part will be required. You will have to look for or make a ring that fits on your 60 mm hub, and the outside diameter of the ring will be equal to the hole in the 67.1 disk. You cannot put a disc with a lower DIA value on Largus. If you really want to and the disk has a size close to 60.1, then you can bore the central hole. Spacers can be made.

Non-standard wheels instead of standard wheels
Sometimes owners have, for example, 14-inch stamped wheels left over from a previous car. Is it possible to install them on LADA Largus instead of the original “products”? Yes, but it will require loosening.
In such a situation, you may encounter the problem of aligning the disc with the brake caliper bracket. The fact is that the bracket sticks out in relation to the plane of contact of the disk to the hub. Moreover, if you tighten the fasteners of such a disk, it will subsequently not be able to rotate.
The same situation will happen if you install R15 wheels. They will rub against the same unfortunate bracket.
Only 16-inch ones will provide the required clearance.
If the discs have a small offset, then after installation they will provoke a change in the load applied to the wheel bearings. Also, protruding rims and tires will “throw” dirt onto the side panels of the body. It is useful to know that a 6.5-inch disk with a 45 mm offset will touch body elements.

Refitting with new Kama Euro tires in 2018
About how I looked for and bought summer tires for Largus. What were the prices in Yaroslavl in the new season and how much did a complete refit cost at a mushroom tire shop? What happened to the factory Nizhnekamsk tires when they passed the length of the equator?
Spring has come, which means it's time to change winter wheels for summer. Since 2013, the original tires on my Larik have been used for four seasons. During this time they walked about 40 thousand. The tread has worn out quite a bit and is almost close to the 1.6 mm indicator. I did not install them again. It would be unsafe to drive on bald tires even by the end of the summer season. Therefore, I began to look for replacement options, as well as stores where I could buy them cheaper.
While I was saving up for the summer, I moved willy-nilly on the studded Kama. Warm winters and the transitional spring months have knocked out approximately 30-35 percent of tire studs. I got confused and did the math on purpose. I thought there would be more. A little bit, and the winter tires are four years old.

Review of the best summer and winter tires
It is better to have separate sets of tires for driving in winter and summer. For driving at sub-zero temperatures, a good solution could be products from Belshina’s company – Artmotion Snow. There are no tires on it. However, this model is perfect for traveling within the city in winter. Its cost will be approximately 1,900 rubles.
Marshal I Zen KW15 will cost the buyer a little more – approximately 2,900 rubles. There are also no studs, but such tires make you feel more comfortable on the road. The maximum permissible speed on the highway is 190 km/h.
Landsail Winter Lander will be an excellent solution for drivers who practice an aggressive driving style and prefer to drive at high speed. The tires hold the road well, the H speed index allows you to move steadily at speeds of up to 210 km/h.
BF Goodrich G-FORCE WINTER2 is a typical Velcro. Despite the relatively low cost, this model boasts good grip on the road surface, regardless of its condition (rain, snow, ice). The strong sidewall makes it easy to take turns.
Goodyear UltraGrip Ice+ comes with 250 studs per wheel. The presence of steel spikes allows for excellent “holding” of the road, regardless of its condition. Even ice will not become an obstacle for the driver - a car with studded tires will take any turn perfectly.
Many owners are quite frivolous when choosing summer tires. However, good tires will make the car more controllable and stable on the road. Falken FK-452 guarantees good grip in any weather. The presence of a large number of furrows eliminates the process of aquaplaning.
BF Goodrich G-GRIP is an inexpensive and very durable tire. Many owners note its almost complete silence at any speed. Good grip on the road is ensured by the shape of the tread.
Maxxis MP10 MECOTRA allows you to reduce braking distance to a minimum. The cost of such a model is relatively low. However, at temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius, the tires begin to make noise.
Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-1 allow you to comfortably drive a car of almost any weight - regardless of the number of passengers or the presence of cargo. It differs in the depth of its tread. A good choice for those who often travel on dirt roads.
Dunlop SP TOURING R1 is grippy on both dry and wet pavement. It is distinguished by its insensitivity to ruts. However, off-road it does not show its best side.
The use of recommended tires with a nominal pressure is the key to safe operation of the vehicle.
Largus is equipped with Magnetto Wheels
The manufacturer installs 15-inch versions on the Lada Largus, which are supplied by the Magnetto Wheels corporation. Such products have conventional parameter markings in the form: “6×15/4×100 D60.1 ET50”.
Now let's decipher it in parts:
- “6” characterizes the width of the product in inches;
- “15/4x100” - here we have: 15-inch with 4 attachment points to the hub and a distance between the centers of the holes for fasteners equal to 100 mm;
- “D60.1” denotes the diameter of the hole in - the amount of overhang, which in our case is 50 mm.
The owners claim that Logan wheels are perfect for LADA Largus. Their parameters are as follows: “5.5×14/4×100 D60.1 ET43”. To complete such wheels, you will need to purchase 185x70xR14 tires.

Is it possible to install winter tires on a Largus 15R 195 65, how will it affect the warranty and the chassis and transmission of the vehicle?
Can. but there is little space left between the wheel and the fender liner and ice will accumulate, which will irritate with characteristic sounds.
With the standard 185/65/15 wheel, the car will not drive right through the stove.
Will he really bury himself up to the stove? Bullshit.
Increasing the width of wheels and tires
As the width of the wheel and, accordingly, the tire increases, stability and controllability improve, but fuel begins to be consumed much faster.
Wide tires help to “hold” the road better, since the grip and area of the contact patch with the asphalt is larger.
Regarding the disadvantages, we note that tires with increased width are prone to aquaplaning, which is dangerous at speeds above 50 km per hour. The Lada Largus runs the risk of drifting off the trajectory when driving through large puddles at speed. There is also increased noise and increased fuel consumption. This is why the correct size of tires and wheels is so important.
