How to change the license plate light on a Granta liftback

By default, on a car of the Lada Granta Liftback family, the license plate is illuminated by two C5W incandescent lamps, with an intercontact distance of 39 mm.

Despite the doubled number of lamps, standard lighting is not enough to recognize the letter symbol of the side sign. Often, owners independently install other lighting fixtures, such as LEDs. Let's take a closer look at how to replace lamps and install custom license plate lighting on a Grant Liftback.

Replacing turn signal lamps, license plate lights, glove box and trunk lights with LED ones

The LED wishlist started with the fact that I got LED cornering lamps with decoys for free.
But because The base didn’t fit, so I used a file and a Dremel to grind off one tendril on each lamp.

Well, how does the photo convey the difference?

Today I purchased LED lamps for illumination of the glove compartment and trunk at the nearest auto store.

, and for number plate illumination

For the glove compartment, everything is simple, you pry the lamp with an old card, take out the old one, and put in a new one.

Then I moved to the trunk, the procedure with the card and replacement is the same.

The license plate illumination needs improvements, but maybe not.
