Hi all! Lada Vesta SV Phantom is increasingly gaining popularity among buyers. Despite the fact that sales of the new Togliatti station wagon began last fall, the hype around the model still does not subside. Many have already seen the phantom-colored Lada Vesta SV Cross alive, but there are also those who have only seen it in photographs. Photos of this model posted online arouse obvious interest from the Internet public.
AvtoVAZ on its official website describes the Phantom's paint job as follows:
“A true chameleon color, shifting from golden brown to bluish. Like a semi-precious stone, it makes you want to admire and examine the car from different angles.”
It’s hard to disagree with the description of AvtoVAZ marketers. I initially became acquainted with this color on the Lada Vesta sedan, immediately after sales started. I was just driving in traffic, and ahead I saw an unusual car, which really caught my attention with its color. As I got closer, I couldn’t believe my eyes - it was a Lada Vesta! And it was painted chameleon color, i.e. shimmered in different shades when the viewing angle changed. At that moment I was not yet sure that this was the factory color. I thought that some people just covered the car with film. But, having arrived at the office, I went to the official website and saw in the list of colors the same color of Phantom Lada Vesta SV. Yes, it was very, very pleasant. At that moment, real and genuine pride in the domestic auto industry immediately arose. But, let's return to our article.

Undoubtedly, photographs will not be able to convey all the beauty, but I think you can get a general idea.
Phantom for Vesta: the new LADA has a color with a changing shade
The chief designer of LADA shared his plans for the colors of the new AVTOVAZ model.
These days in Italy, in Tuscany, a test drive of the Lada Vesta sedan is taking place. Before the cars were handed over to journalists, a briefing was held, where the speaker was the chief designer of LADA, Steve Mattin. In his presentation, he talked about the history of the new brand DNA, and how work on the new design progressed. Among other things, Mattin focused on promising AVTOVAZ cars, namely the colors for the Lada Vesta.
According to the chief designer, the plant is exploring the possibility of producing LADA Vesta with a variable shade. Specifically, Mattin said, “One of the paints that we will actually use is a color changeable chameleon.” The color will change its shades depending on the viewing angle.
According to the Official Lada Club’s own information, more than 10 production LADA Vesta cars have already been painted in the “Phantom” color at the LADA Izhevsk plant. In total, at the moment, Vesta will have 10 different body colors.
When using the material (in whole or in part), an active link to the Lada Vesta Club website (www.ladavesta.net) is required!

What is the Lada Vesta SV Cross Phantom?
Undoubtedly, the color of the phantom Lada Vesta SV can be considered unique. The uniqueness of the paint is due to the fact that it can change its shade. The base color is dark grey. In low light or at night, the car will look ordinary monotonous. But as soon as you add light, the shade of the paint will change. Color changes can be observed from dark brown to orange. A change in color can also be noticed when the viewing angle changes. Agree, a very unusual feature? Especially for AvtoVAZ.
Lada Vesta color scheme
The new shades proposed by the domestic concern immediately appealed to many car enthusiasts. In addition to unusual and even exclusive colors, the technology of applying paint and varnish has also been updated. Now they take a high-quality primer as a basis and apply it using modern technologies, which make it possible to protect the car body from corrosion for a long time. As a result of updated technologies, we get a car with increased wear-resistant characteristics.
All colors of the Lada Vesta are presented on the official website page, where you can clearly see how the sedan will look in one color or another. The paint code denotes the positional designation of the color palette.
Interesting!
Of the ten paints offered, only a few are able to change their shade, including the phantom with the individual code 496. This chameleon color transforms the appearance of the car and makes it noticeable in the stream of other vehicles.
Pros and cons of the Phantom color on the Lada Vesta SV
The main advantage is the unique color, which is used by only a small number of car manufacturers. The color is really unusual, which allows you to stand out in the crowd. The attention of passers-by will be ensured 100%. In addition, since the base color is dark gray, the car will not be very classy. Accordingly, in bad weather, pollution will not attract attention as much.
But the phantom color also has its disadvantages. This is the difficulty of selecting and further painting the part. Therefore, when buying a Lada Vesta SV in phantom color, be prepared to pay much more for repairs. But who cares? After all, no one will think about an accident when it comes to such a car. Do you agree?
I forgot to say that phantom coloring is more expensive than other colors from the Vesta SV Cross palette. So if you want to buy Vesta in the Phantom color, be prepared to pay another 12 thousand rubles on top of the main price.
What kind of body does the Lada Vesta and Lada XRAY have: galvanized or non-galvanized?
It would seem that everything possible has been written about the new Lada cars – Vesta and XRAY. But nevertheless, every day more and more questions about these cars appear on the Internet, both from those who still want to buy a new Lada, and from those who have already become the proud owner of a new domestic car. What do you think interests car enthusiasts most about the new Ladas? Especially in the new Lada Vesta. Do new cars rot quickly? After all, the main problem of our automobile industry has always been associated primarily with rapid corrosion of the body. It is not surprising that many people are concerned about whether the bodies of new AvtoVAZ cars meet modern corrosion protection standards. We'll talk about this today.
Painting technology
At one of the reports, AvtoVAZ representatives stated that new technology will now be used for painting. Firstly, the entire color palette has been revised. Secondly, higher quality primers will be used, which will ensure reliable adhesion of the base layer to the metal. Thirdly, a new varnish will be used. Thus, the thickness of the paintwork will be increased to 125-135 microns, which will keep the paintwork in excellent condition for up to 6 years of service. All these measures will protect cars from problems with corrosion, which Vesta’s predecessors suffered from.
By the way, the color code for the Phantom Lada Vesta SV is 496.
Vesta color palette
In addition to the “Phantom” color, Vesta also has interesting color solutions:
— Color “Eggplant” — this body color is suitable for car enthusiasts of absolutely any age. The car looks expensive and tasteful.
— Color “Agate” — for car owners with refined taste.
— “Pluto” is a strict and stylish color.
— “Carnelian” is a color found on Jubilee Vestas. This is a rich red color.
— “Lime” — this color is positioned as youth. Available at additional cost.
— Other colors are also available: yellow, blue, etc. They, like all others, are distinguished by high saturation and brightness.
The colors shown above are “metallic”, but there are only two common ones. Against the background of Vesta’s color palette, the separation of the new generation of Lada from the past is especially clearly visible, which is very commendable. Lada Vesta SV Cross color phantom customer reviews
Ruslan, Novosibirsk
My wife and I bought a Vesta in phantom color with a 1.6 engine. We are very pleased with the choice, as the color literally makes passers-by turn around on the street. I really like it myself. The technical equipment of the car is excellent, the appearance is rated 5+. I recommend it.
Vadim, Kaluga
I had to wait a long time for a car in phantom color. Our dealers did not have it in stock. And then, after waiting, I saw her. To say that I was blown away is an understatement. Really very, very cool body paint. There were no downsides identified, except for the robot on the Lada Vesta SV, which I don’t particularly like.
Inna, Omsk
We were expecting news in the Pluto color, but at the last moment we changed our minds and took the Phantom color from stock. We had our doubts until the very end, but were pleased with the choice. Chameleon is a very cool color. But then we found out the cost of painting the element (my husband scratched the fender) and were disappointed... I don’t recommend it as a first car - you’ll go broke on repairs. It’s better to take simpler colors.
Body color "Phantom"
The color scheme of new AvtoVAZ cars never ceases to amaze even the most experienced car enthusiast. Most of the body colors are metallic, which in itself is an achievement and discovery for the domestic manufacturer. But AvtoVAZ presented several more new color solutions for its cars. To strengthen the surface and improve anti-corrosion properties, on the Lada Vesta the plant began to use a new body painting technology using cataphoresis. Cataphoresis is the most technologically advanced way to protect a product from corrosion. This technology allows AvtoVAZ to extend the warranty on the protection of the car’s coating for six years, which, again, is an innovation for the Russian automobile industry.
New paint coating technology
The use of exclusive colors is not the only innovation of AvtoVAZ. To apply the paint, the company's specialists used a high-quality primer as a basis, which is applied to the car using innovative technologies that protect the car body from rust. As a result, consumers will receive a machine with a unique coating and increased wear resistance characteristics.
The only drawback of the unique chameleon-type coatings is the lack of simple color design in case of need for body repairs. If the car was damaged and received chips or scratches, then restoring the original surface will not cost the car owner cheap. In addition, everyone who expresses a desire to purchase a car with metallic paint will have to pay an additional 12 thousand rubles to the cost of the car.
Every buyer can decide on the color when buying a car by looking at different photo options of the Lada Vesta body on various Internet portals.
No sooner had the triumphant march of the updated Lada ended than information appeared about the release of the Vesta in phantom color. The new shade, completely different from others, caused a stir among ardent fans of Volga cars, as well as ordinary citizens. This article will tell you what it is, the color “ghost”, how resistant to abrasion and how durable it is.

Re: Lada Vesta “Phantom”
Vesta and rubber products
Everyone has already written that frame wipers coming from the factory are worse than nothing. At least for winter. In general, I removed these rubber products and changed the driver’s brush to a Japanese winter Lynx 60 cm, and the passenger’s to a 45 cm winter ALCA. They have been criticized lately, but on the last car they performed well - if 60 cm Alki were on sale, I would have taken a second one from the same company, they are noticeably cheaper.
I placed the order on January 3rd, they were delivered on the 5th, I came to receive and pay on the sixth. However, during the journey they managed to grow - along with the dollar and the price of the trunk mat ordered at the same time. By bank transfer they demanded a new price, and in cash for some reason the original price. I had cash, took it at the original price. I installed it this morning - a completely different story! The trunk mat from Agatek cost 1,092 rubles, which is much cheaper than the branded one.
The corporate one looks like this:
But the sides, it seems, of both are significantly lower than those of the Logan ones from the Confort dealer package. When transporting something that spills or all sorts of country things, this can lead to sadness.

Re: Lada Vesta “Phantom”
The first glitch, or this didn’t happen with GVC!
Today we decided to go to the New Year's performance with our youngest. Snow snakes sweep along the roads, where, of course, there is no dirty snow porridge - the new holder of the municipal contract for cleaning Chelyabinsk roads keeps the mark. At the same time, it is quite slippery in places; during a week of cold weather, the coating froze. The stability control system was activated several times, and the indicator on the panel came on. The car periodically “drove”, but at the same time there was a pleasant feeling that it retained controllability and remained under control. On the way, we have a habit of turning on, if not music, then some kind of audiobook - because otherwise you’ll be too tired to carry on a conversation. And so we got there under “Captain Blood’s Odyssey”, and back... and getting back is a mess! Because the audio system (I remind you that on “Comfort” it is not touch-sensitive) refused to turn on. Since wiping the headlights and kicking the wheels while driving is problematic, at a traffic light I turned off the engine and turned it on again - what if? No way! Nearby, the guys from the Merc beeped, showed thumbs, smiled - they say, the Vesta is good! I look at them, smile, nod, and I think: is it better to call the personal manager or first check the fuse through which power goes to the radio? I remember the line of the instructions where it says - make sure, they say, by turning on the audio - is the temperature in the cabin normal? I remember that neither the two-din Chinese “Mystery” that I plugged into the old right-hand drive, nor Logan’s JVC had such a ...censored... one. Including minus thirty. In general, when I arrived home, I unbent a paper clip and, with the ignition on, stuck it in and held it in the reset slot for five seconds. And, as Cat Matroskin said, it worked! Just in case, I threw a paperclip into the cup holder - on our car you can’t do without a tool (just kidding).

Re: Lada Vesta “Phantom”
Vesta-“chameleon”
"One of the paints we'll really be using is the color changeable chameleon" Steve Mattin
The bottom line is that depending on the viewing angle and lighting, the shade changes.
Here is my “Phantom” and this same “chameleon”. Because there were two more options - “Angkor” (brown) and “Die with a rag” (black). I wanted one so that our Chelyabinsk dirt and dust would be minimally noticeable on the car. Brown, upon closer examination, turned out to be really quite good - much more noble than the colors that Dusters are painted in. But I have already reserved the Phantom.
It’s still not possible to take photographs in good sunlight; our sun was “turned off” before the New Year)))

Colors of LADA Vesta Cross SW - Mars, Carthage, Phantom
Here is the entire list of Lada Vesta Cross SV colors: Mars, Carnelian, Angkor, Carthage, Blues, Phantom, Pluto, Black Pearl and Platinum. Among the names given there are metallized enamels, for which you will have to pay an additional 22 thousand rubles, and there are ordinary glossy paints. To get the Carthage color, you will have to shell out another 18 thousand rubles on top.
Mars.
This is the same orange metallic that was created specifically for the new product. Reflects dynamism, originality, passion and a sense of adventure. was used to film, which has already made a splash both on the Internet and on TV. This is the most impressive enamel in the Vesta Cross SV line, according to the majority of respondents.
Cornelian.
It's flashy! It personifies the energy and bright design of the new product!
Glacial.
This is a glossy body color, which, although not the most spectacular, is very practical and respectable. The white enamel goes well with the car's black exterior details and taillights.
Angkor
is a chocolate “metallic” that combines an attractive balance between the bright colors of the exterior details and the severity of the black and gray palette.
Very impressive color of Lada Vesta Cross SV - Carthage
Carthage.
A very striking light color, but nevertheless very practical. The paint plays very nicely in the sun, and at the same time it remains solid and not flashy. Causes moderate calm and admiration. By the way, for those who want to purchase, they will have to pay an additional 18 thousand rubles on top.
Blues.
This is what a deep body of water or sky has before a clap of thunder. A very complex and deep color, just like the blues, after which this shade was named.
Phantom.
This is the color I want to talk about! When I saw it for the first time, I couldn’t believe that AvtoVAZ started using such enamels. This is a real chameleon that shimmers from golden brown to bluish. You want to look at this color for a very long time, it doesn’t get boring and looks really very stylish. If all the colors of the Lada Vesta Cross SV were rated on a ten-point scale, then I would give this color a solid 12 points!
- This is another shade of gray Lada enamel. The usual strict color, but no less stylish, especially with the “X-shaped” body features of the West. Suitable for those who do not want to stand out from the standard flow.
.
I immediately remembered the ship of the same name from Pirates of the Caribbean. Why this color was called that way is unknown to me. However, the color is very strict. Requires maintenance, but will never go out of style. Looks especially cool with chrome body elements.
Platinum
- classic “silver”. This is not to say that the color is boring, but it cannot be called unique either. I would say this is the most practical color of all. Micro scratches and dust are not very visible on such a surface.
Well, that's all! We looked at all the main colors of the Lada Vesta SW Cross
Thank you for your attention and see you again! The Lada Vesta sedan has already been evaluated many times and from various angles, offering a comparison with competitors, a review of technical innovations or a discussion of the results of a test drive
But there was practically no talk about the variability of colors, so we propose to fill this gap
The Lada Vesta sedan has already been evaluated many times and from various angles, offering a comparison with competitors, a review of technical innovations or a discussion of the results of a test drive. But there was practically no talk about the variability of colors, so we propose to fill this gap.
The color scheme of the Vesta sedan has only been preliminary approved and in the future will be regularly replenished with new shades, the total number of which can reach up to 20. At the same time, we note that almost all colors will have a metallic effect, which was simply not the case in the Russian automobile industry before. However, this is not all that the Lada Vesta is going to surprise in terms of body paint. For example, they paint a new car using a completely new technology for AvtoVAZ using cataphoresis, which makes it possible for the first time in the history of the Volga auto giant to extend the warranty against corrosion to 6 years.
The sedan has two classic “non-metallic” colors, and only three shades unite the new product with earlier models of the concern, and the rest will be completely new. This can be done safely with
Review of the Lada Vesta car in a white body
Priora was replaced by Lada Vesta, model 2180. All car enthusiasts were waiting for the presentation of this car. The White Lada Vesta is already considered the pioneer of AvtoVAZ, for many reasons. Sales of this car model started on November 25, 2022, and at the moment it is the largest representative of its class.
External characteristics of the new Lada
The new Lada Vesta pleased us with its body, which retains the characteristic VAZ features, but adds a pronounced individuality.
In general, the concept of the body remains the same - the developers repeated the shape of the headlights, the tightened stern and the “x” stampings.
Immediately after the first photos of the Lada Vesta appeared, all car enthusiasts noted the fact that the new Lada would be the most beautiful in the entire range of cars.
The car is equipped with special lighting equipment, and fog lights are located on the bumper compartments. The new sedan can be immediately recognized thanks to such distinctive signs as the letter “X” on the radiator grille, as well as massive stamps on the plastic hood and sides.
Depending on the configuration, wheels of different diameters are used. The most common equipment of the Lada Vesta is the “Comfort” equipment. It is equipped with wheels with a diameter of 15 inches. The price of the car also depends on the configuration, so everyone can find a suitable option for themselves.
Comfort package
The mid-spec Lada Vesta has two airbags, a climate control system, air conditioning, ABS + ESC, heated glass and seats, as well as a double-din stereo system that has 4 speakers and 2 sets of power windows. The interior is textile; for comparison, the Luxury equipment includes leather upholstery.
The trunk is quite roomy, the trunk volume is 480 liters, has a low loading height, and is equipped with a spare wheel.
Technical equipment
Lada Vesta is suitable both for trips around the city and for traveling on country roads. The car was based on a B/C platform, the same as that of Renault and Nissan.
The platform uses a mounted original suspension, which has steering knuckles and a caster of 5 degrees. Vehicle ground clearance is 171 mm when fully loaded.
As a nice feature of the Lada Vesta, it can be noted that the steering column is adjustable not only in height, but also in reach. The body rigidity of the new model is 15,000 Nm/deg.
All of them are designed to work with both a conventional five-speed manual transmission (automatic transmission) and an AMT robotic transmission.
Currently, the new Lada is sold only as a sedan, but a hatchback is expected to be released in 2016. After this, production of the Lada Vesta Cross station wagon is expected.
