Typical faults and solutions

As an example of malfunctions, you can take the on-board computer State 110, or rather State 110 x5.

This model is characterized by the following unpleasant “tricks”:

  1. If you're having problems with the power supply, you may need to take a look at the wiring harness and make sure all the pins are connected tightly.
  2. If you regularly hear an alarm sound while driving, this most likely indicates that the overheating alarm has turned on, the fuel level in the tank is low, or there is unwanted voltage in the on-board circuit.
  3. If a message appears on the display that there is no connection with the controller, make sure that the wiring to the K-line is correctly connected. The instructions contain a connection diagram and it is best to proceed based on it.
  4. Unstable thermometer readings indicate that the contacts are broken or the temperature sensor wire has broken.

Computer installed in the console

on-board computer for VAZ 2110 state 112x3 instructions

Mute is an output for controlling external devices when the alarm goes off. When the alarm goes off, a logical 0 appears on this contact (that is, ground). You can connect any device through a relay. If you have instructions it says (page 10), if not, then download: Regarding the Diagnostic box - not a box, but a block.

More precisely, a diagnostic block. It looks like a plastic thing with clamps stuck into it. The front view of the block is shown in the instructions. It is located under the instrument panel console on the left side. It is also written in the instructions which connector to plug the K-line wire into.

Unfortunately, I can’t give you any advice regarding the Speakers, but I think dear Mr. Yu. Petinov will help you. The two unconnected contacts that remain after connecting the BC to the Trip Computer block go to the ambient air temperature sensor (put this wherever you want, either outside or in the cabin if you have a dashboard with a thermometer).

I wish you a successful installation of this miracle of technology. If I wrote something wrong, please correct me. VAZ 21104 was inherited, I only drove it for 2 months. She's not blonde, but I can't figure it out right away. BC STATE112x3 and PANTERA SLR-5600 alarm system were installed (I couldn’t find any passports or instructions for them).

Initially, the bookmaker showed some information by pressing buttons in different combinations, perhaps I changed the settings. (((, because false alarms soon began. I don’t know if these two devices are interconnected, but now the BC doesn’t show anything at all and Erp (or something like that) is lit on the display in the upper right corner, but together with thus the false alarms stopped.

Please provide a link to the BC with user instructions for setting the operating mode. And can it affect the alarm (or is it just a coincidence)?

Connection and configuration features

The on-board computer is connected based on the manual. It is important to disconnect the ground terminal from the battery before starting work.

The following manipulations are:

  1. Remove the console and unscrew the screws.
  2. Using clamps, connect the BC wires coming from the block with identical ones in color coming from the cigarette lighter. After all the contacts have been assembled, assemble the structure and connect the removed buttons, installing them in their places.
  3. Connect the 6-pin harness block and install the BC.
  4. After this, you can return the battery terminal to its place.
  5. The BC parameters are configured depending on the device and machine model.

Price issue

You can take a closer look at the price and decide for yourself whether it’s worth purchasing the device using photographs.

What is a plasmar in an on-board computer?

"Plasmer" function in the on-board computer. Is there any benefit from it?

I used this function during cold winters. At minus 30 degrees, I turned it on, although with great difficulty, since the frozen BK-State barely responded to pressing the buttons. I waited until the Plasmer strip reached the end and I could start the engine. The engine started, but I think it would have started just as well without it.

I decided to see what was happening with the candles at this moment. I took an aluminum corner, drilled 4 holes for the spark plugs and cut the threads, and secured this corner to the engine ground. I wrapped the spark plugs, connected the wires and pressed the button on the BC.

I began to observe what was happening, namely the appearance of a spark on the candles. First, a spark on spark plugs 1 and 4, then on spark plugs 2 and 3, alternately with several flashes for about a minute.

I was not impressed by this phenomenon, but I think this function can be used to check the ignition system if there is a malfunction in it. For example, by connecting a spark gap to each wire one by one, you can identify a defective wire or ignition coil or verify the opposite and sentence the spark plugs to be replaced. And also understand that everything is in order with the wiring between the controller and the coil and the signal passes through as expected.

The video below shows how this function works:

What does the on-board computer notify?

  1. When the car is moving, a light comes on, indicating a malfunction of the power unit. It is possible that there really are problems with the engine. It's easy to notice by the sound. If the light is on, but the engine behaves normally, do not rush to go to a car service center. A common problem with the BC on the VAZ 2110 is a small short circuit. Carry out diagnostics - cheaply and effectively.
  2. Fuel consumption is too high, it has even exceeded the maximum limit of 12 liters. If such a problem is detected, it can only be solved by flashing the controller firmware. Doing this on your own is difficult and sometimes impossible. Trust exclusively highly qualified specialists.

Why do you need an on-board computer?

In previous articles we have already talked about what an on-board computer is, what it is needed for and what types they come in. But let me repeat myself so that you clearly understand all the advantages of having an on-board computer, and there are probably no disadvantages, except perhaps spending money on the purchase and that’s all.

Let's take, for example, the on-board computer STATE 115×24. With this model in your possession, you can:

  1. set the radiator fan start temperature; this function is very useful, for example, in winter, when you can control the temperature of the coolant, thereby monitoring the temperature of the heater radiator.
  2. The function of drying and warming up the spark plugs before starting the engine is very useful.
  3. The function of resetting settings and ECU adjustments is needed to switch to gasoline with a higher or lower octane number (from 92 to 95 and vice versa), and this function is also needed to reset settings after a long trip with increased load on the engine.
  4. The ability to read errors allows you to monitor the condition of the car and change non-working sensors and elements in a timely manner.

Trip computer State 112 X4

The on-board computer “STATE 112 X4” (hereinafter referred to as BC) is compatible with all types of BOSCH, JANUARY, ITELMA controllers (except for January 4.1, GM controllers). The on-board computer includes all the functions of previous versions: State 112 Format, State 112 Plasmer, State 112 Tropic, State 112 X3.

Differences between BC "STATE 112 X4" and previous versions:

1. Added the PLASMA/BOOST button - direct access to launching the “PLASMER” function

What is this function:

This is plasma heating of candles. The effect is achieved by applying high-voltage pulses with a frequency of 130 Hz and an energy of 0.04 J to the electrodes of the spark plugs. During the exposure time, energy of about 40 J is released on each spark plug. In this case, the air in the cylinders is ionized, the electrodes of the spark plugs and their insulators are heated. After such preparation, the probability of failure to start the engine in severe frost or high humidity conditions, as well as in the event of unacceptable filling of spark plug electrodes with gasoline, is reduced several times. A button displayed as a separate option allows you to enter this function without searching through the menu. This is especially true in sub-zero temperatures, when display response and visibility are reduced to a minimum. More details in the BC functions section...

Command function "FAST AND FURIOUS"

This function is a reset (clearing) of the controller memory to factory settings. This function erases not only information about errors, as was the case in previous versions of the BC, but also removes the cause of the error, thereby resuscitating (correcting) the car’s electronic control unit.

New automobile controllers, such as BOSCH MP7.0, BOSCH M7.9.7, JANUARY 7.2, have an operating algorithm based on comparing a mathematical model of the engine with real parameters. All deviations from the mat. models are recorded in a special memory of the controller and taken into account in further work - this is the so-called self-learning of the controller. If the car is operated for a long time in an “unusual” mode, this can lead to undesirable consequences in the future. The engine may operate unstably, gain speed poorly, and experience detonation overloads more often. This happens, for example, when operating on low-quality gasoline; in monotonous mode (mainly at low or high engine speeds); in high load mode, etc. Most often this happens when changing the type of fuel from gasoline to gas or vice versa.

If the engine has been running on gasoline for some time, then when switching to gas, the controller does not notice this and continues to control the ignition according to the “gasoline” algorithm, the parameters of which are stored in the learning memory. Resetting this memory will force the controller to immediately respond to all changes and write new gas parameters into memory.

Your car has a bad connection to the battery terminal. Any vibration of the car while driving can cause emergency operation of the engine of your car, causing unstable operation of any of the electronic components.

When “resetting errors” you will extinguish the “Check eng” indication, but will not get rid of the emergency condition of the car without resetting it to zero - EQU RESET. "Fast and Furious" will allow you to carry out repairs without leaving the salon. More details in the BC functions section...

2. Added hazard warning lights.

If the engine overheats or the voltage is unacceptable, the computer will warn you with a light alarm along with voice guidance. More details in the BC functions section...

3. Added the ability to determine the controller type and program version.

You can view controller and software data in the “diagnostic tester” mode. More details in the BC functions section...

4.Tropic function

Setting the temperature for forced activation of the engine cooling fan. More details in the BC functions section...
