It's been a year since the rear wiper stuck. It could stop in any position and continue its movement at any time, and not as it should be - after a full swing, but apparently its end came - it stopped turning on completely.

The weather turned out to be rainy and it was not comfortable to drive without it. After waiting for a time when there was no rain, the trim was removed, the wiper and the entire windshield wiper unit 194.3780 (motor + gearbox + electronic timer relay) were unscrewed. The motor itself was checked. The motor turned out to be working. The search for a solution began on the Internet. It turned out that this problem is not only with viburnum, but also with all Soviet cars with a rear wiper: there is a timer relay 35.3763 ​​on the windshield wiper unit and it goes out of order. It is not on sale (!), but only the entire unit is available for 2k+. As a temporary solution, a regular five-pin relay was installed (thanks to Boyarintcew for his “Repair Manual”).

Relay 35.3763 ​​(black box with a connector on the windshield wiper block) was unsoldered, and in its place was screwed with electrical tape (may the Great Blue Electrical Tape forgive me, but I only had red one on hand...) and a regular five-pin relay with a block was soldered to the block. The ends of the wires from the block going to the connector were crimped with existing flat connectors and inserted directly into the connector.

Installed, checked, works, BUT! While you press the water supply, the wiper does not work, but when you release the water supply, leaving it on, it works constantly, without delay. In my opinion, this is too much! It will work as a temporary solution, but as a permanent solution - NO! The perfectionist in me required relay board 35.3763 ​​to be repaired. It was decided to look for a solution to this problem, and it was found in the post “Repairing the Rear Door Wiper. Replacing the timer in BU 35.3763,” for which many thanks to agalardo. The culprit was the timer chip. The specified agalardo microcircuit was found on the Chip&Dip website.

The microcircuit was not available, I had to order it. I ordered two pieces at once. I had to wait three days for my order (it was out of stock). Having received the microcircuit, I went to solder it in the hope that it would help.
