The Russian decided to take a tangible step towards the progress of color. That is, to significantly expand the palette of shades for the Lada Vesta SV car. After the announcement of this model, interest was at a high level, because the body colors were able to please all motorists. Let's try to look at each shade in more detail. Specifications

Now we come to the most interesting part - the technical component. Of course, as is the case with trim levels and options, the station wagon’s engines are identical to those of the sedan. These are two sixteen-valve power units with a volume of 1.6 and 1.8 liters and a power of 106 and 122 hp. respectively.

The second option turned out to be quite dynamic, especially in combination with mechanics. By the way, both engines are equipped with two transmissions to choose from - classic mechanics and a robotic automatic.

Previously, West sedans were equipped with French mechanics, but then they decided to abandon them in favor of domestic development. The engines do not suffer from a lack of traction, which is sufficient throughout almost the entire rev range.

True, the 1.8-liter engine will still be more powerful. Otherwise, everything turned out soft and at the same time cheerful. There is only one unpleasant moment left - this is the gluttony of the engine, which AvtoVAZ could not moderate. The engine consumes on average 10 liters per 100 km.

AVTOVAZ did not reinvent the wheel and installed the same engines in the station wagon that were in the previous generation. These are modern Russian-made units. An MTOR with a volume of 1.6 is called a VAZ-21129.

This is a more advanced version of the obsolete VAZ-21127, which was good for everyone, except for one thing - it did not meet environmental standards.

If some 8-10 years ago no one paid attention to this, then recently this problem has become relevant. As a result, the engine was modified and stuffed into the new Vesta

There are no questions about the mechanism. It behaves quite decently on domestic roads.

Specifications

The body dimensions, updated in the ratios 4424x1785 and 1532, have been increased mainly due to modified body kits. The chassis features: 2635 mm of axle base and 203 mm of ground clearance, independent MacPherson strut suspension on the front axle and spring-telescopic semi-independent suspension on the rear axle.

• The traction and speed characteristics of the 106-horsepower engine working in tandem with a 5-speed front-wheel drive manual transmission guarantee the new Lada station wagon the dynamics of reaching the first hundred - 12.3 seconds and a maximum speed of up to 172 km/h.
• The test drive showed an average fuel consumption per 100 km of 7.5 liters.
• In a more comfortable and technically advanced top modification, the manufacturer promised a 1.8-liter internal combustion engine with an output of 122 hp/170 Nm. The power unit is equipped with a robotic 8-speed automatic transmission from Renault that transmits torque to the front axle.

Interior

The interior design of the recently released Sw cross modification largely replicates the interior decoration of the Lada vesta sw (see photo of the interior). Same ergonomics and dashboard with center console. However, the interior of the Lada Vesta with the cross prefix will be made in two colors.

There will be color inserts in the body color on the front panel, door cards, and seats. Pleasantly illuminated seats, compartments for papers, sufficient visibility and space - the car’s interior puts you in a pleasant mood. The only criticism is the hard plastic at the bottom of the front panel and on the side cards.

There is also information that the crossover will receive new solutions in terms of comfort. The crossover has different seats than the Lada Vesta sw. Seats with 3-level electric heating and electric drive have improved lateral support and will be able to support you when pushing off-road or taking sharp turns.

Multimedia system

In a rich configuration, Lada is offered with a multimedia center, as well as a multi-function steering wheel with audio system control buttons on the steering wheel. Design plans for the future

According to management statements, the concern is not going to stop there. Following the latest modifications, it is planned to release an off-road station wagon with all-wheel drive and a 4x4 wheel arrangement. It is believed that the appearance of the model will change, and its body will acquire unique touches.

Currently, the most expensive Exclusive package is available only for the sedan body type. However, soon it is planned to launch civilian and off-road station wagons in the Exclusive configuration on the market. The exterior of such cars is also subject to changes.

The same can be said about methane modification. Only the sedan is currently available in showrooms. But the latest news suggests that the appearance of station wagons with a bi-fuel methane engine is not far off. Their design will also differ from the usual design. Diesel and gasoline engines

The technical parameters of the car have become known. At the end of 2020, Lada made the base for the West SV Cross a 1.6-liter engine, which is equipped with many models of the AvtoVAZ concern. Also, the official model range is represented by a 1.8-liter unit with good performance characteristics. The power of this modification is 122 horses with 170 Nm of torque, and consumption is 9.9 liters in city mode.

Data have been confirmed that AvtoVAZ will release a diesel modification of the sw cross. It is quite possible that the model will receive a power plant from the Renault Duster crossover, a close relative in the Renault-Nissan-VAZ concern. However, the exact date for mass production of vesta sw station wagons equipped with a diesel engine is still unknown.

The new Lada Vesta from 2019-2020 in both modifications is rather a demonstration by the company of its ideas, developments that it puts into practice. Well-thought-out ergonomics of the Lada Vesta SV in 2019-2020 in a new body, with originality, practicality and surprisingly dynamism.

Exterior

Lada Vesta first appeared in the photo back in 2014, when the premiere was presented. Since then, year after year, the company has made a certain number of changes to the car, introducing first in 2015 and then in 2016 the Lada Vesta Cross sedan and the Lada Vesta Cross station wagon, including with a characteristic off-road body kit.

The front part seems to be the brightest and most eye-catching, due to the embossed hood lid, sculpted bumper, fashionable optics, and radiator grille. But the main advantage of the “front” is the played out motifs of the letter “X”. Continuing the “X” theme, on the sidewalls of the Lada Vesta we find characteristic stampings with floating lines.

The well-shaped rear in both versions looks sporty and fit, adding sportiness and dynamism to the car's silhouette. Depending on the configuration of the Lada Vesta, for example, the Exclusive version receives additional chrome moldings, adding to the high cost of the car.

A photo of the new Lada Vesta SV Cross clearly shows how radically they decided to change the rear, in contrast to the sedan version. A huge overhanging spoiler, a beveled lid, and littered rear pillars are reminiscent of “English” motifs. The “tinted” pillar looks interesting and beautiful, adding airiness to the car. The new model Lada Vesta 2019-2020 from the photo represents, as already mentioned, a new style and direction in the Russian automotive industry.

Interior

The Lada Vesta station wagon, based on the photo of the interior, is practically no different from its version with an off-road body kit, not to mention the sedan models. From the photo, Lada Vesta looks beautiful, dignified, pleasant and quite modern. Of course, there are questions in terms of finishing and materials, but we must not forget what price category the car is from. There will be no expensive plastics, real wood, metal, leather, in the end. Banal hard plastic, with an unpleasant-to-the-touch coating.

Lada Vesta Sport, like its less charged versions, receives a decent equipment package. Here we will see modern multimedia, air conditioning and even a multifunction steering wheel. Lada Vesta Exclusive in addition receives a full-fledged climate control system with a clear and well-thought-out interface. Moreover, all this is “put together” with good ergonomics, beautiful and stylish. The new Lada Vesta SV Cross only in the basic version can disappoint, because it is equipped only with a regular radio, without any bells and whistles.

The front seats, despite the photo, are quite comfortable; riders of any height and build will be able to fit, given the wide range of adjustments. The only sofa in the back is unsuccessful, although in size it is ready to accommodate three passengers. Discomfort is caused by a sharp collapse of the roof in both the SV and sedan versions. The luggage compartment pleases not only with its correct geometric shapes, but also with its huge volume by the standards of the segment.

Exterior

The Lada company presented the first concept of the West Cross station wagon on November 11, 2015. Even then it became clear what features the off-road modification would inherit. The appearance when viewed from the front is practically no different from the sedan concept. The same impressive headlights, the x-shaped design of the radiator grille, round fog lights under the main light units, the same exterior mirrors. The main difference is the front bumper with dark plastic protection and a silver insert in the center.

The Lada Vesta sw crossover with the crossover prefix shows its peculiarity when viewed from the side. The car has grown significantly in size due to the increased ground clearance; the side sills and wheel arches received protective linings, and for the modification itself a custom design of wheel rims was developed.

The rear of the off-road station wagon shows kinship with the civilian model Lada Vesta sw, but there are still certain differences. The new car has a completely new bumper with protective pads and a slightly modified exhaust system integrated into the rear bumper.

This year, VAZ engineers also presented a new model LAda Vesta CNG. A distinctive feature of the car is its dual-fuel engine, capable of running on both gasoline and methane. The 1.6-liter engine was equipped with methane gas. Visually, the car does not differ from the standard modification, but some details are visible in the interior. A switch from one type of fuel to another will be located on the center console, and the level of methane consumption and gas range will be displayed as a function of the on-board computer. The 90-liter tank is located in the trunk, thereby reducing its useful volume to 390 liters.

When driving on methane, engine power and torque drop by 10 units. However, with two tanks fully charged, the car can travel more than 1,000 kilometers. At the same time, the cost per kilometer of travel when driving on methane will be 1 ruble.
