Active use of a series of Mutlu brand batteries (made in Türkiye)

Sometimes access to the electrolyte is required for battery maintenance or diagnostics, but if there is no access, many motorists want to remove the battery cover.

Batteries are divided into batteries with access to electrolyte and without access to electrolyte. In order to unscrew the battery plugs with access to the electrolyte, you will need a ruble coin or a wide screwdriver. If the battery has a single panel cover, you will need a screwdriver (panel cover, remove with a screwdriver). But there are batteries that do not have access to the electrolyte, so motorists often turn to specialists with advice to help remove the cover from the Warta or Bosch battery.

If you need to remove the cover from these batteries, then after removing the cover the battery can be thrown away. Those. Varta, Bosch, Atlas, Delkor, Bost, Banner batteries will not work because the cover is not removable. Technologically, the chip is soldered at the factory and does not imply removal from the battery.

If you want to remove the panel from the cover, then you need to know that there is no access to the electrolyte - it is a labyrinth system for vapor condensation. But there is one exception here - if you find that the electrolyte level is lower than necessary (for example, determined by weighing, the weight of the battery can be found here), then a medical syringe and an awl will help you. You need to carefully make a hole, trying not to damage the labyrinth system, add electrolyte with a syringe, and then seal the hole.

An electrolyte is a liquid consisting of sulfuric acid and distilled water. In some situations, the electrolyte level in the battery drops and needs to be normalized.

The capacity of a car battery is the ability of the battery to store a certain amount of energy. The battery capacity is determined by the amount of active mass on the battery electrodes. The battery capacity is determined by the number of active meters

SFB (Superior Flooded Battery) technology: next generation wet battery

Batteries with SFB technology use higher quality plates, which allows for greater efficiency and performance. The banks of such batteries are filled with electrolyte of a special composition, which provided the battery with an increase in capacity while maintaining its standard dimensions. A battery with SFB technology is universal; it can be used in vehicles that operate in different climatic zones (temperature tolerances: from -41 to +61 degrees). This type of battery is also distinguished by a long service life, which was achieved due to a reduced charge cycle, which allows you to gradually, in a gentle mode, load the battery. Mutlu batteries with SFB technology use CaCa grids with the addition of silver, with a full frame and special perforation - and this ensures the product's resistance to short circuits and extends the life of the battery. Batteries with SFB technology are 25% more efficient than traditional batteries and have better vibration resistance.

EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) technology: advanced wet battery for start-stop vehicles

AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology: absorbent glass fiber technology

We also use full frame grids, a special fiberglass layer, and purified lead plates in AGM batteries. This battery has a higher capacity (compared to batteries manufactured using SFB and EFB technologies), does not require significant charging time, provides a high starting current (50-70% more than a conventional battery) and lasts longer. The performance of these batteries is 40% higher than that of conventional batteries.

One of the promising areas in the work of the Mutlu research center is the development of lithium-ion batteries, which, with a fairly compact size, allow them to accumulate even more energy and work even longer.

Modern power supplies for cars require less and less human participation during operation. Maintenance-free batteries do not need to be topped up with water or electrolyte throughout their entire operating life. Mutlu battery maintenance

This brand produces different types of batteries - from traditional to completely maintenance-free.
Traditional and hybrid, those in which you can remove the lid and add water, require more frequent recharging, as well as periodic replenishment of the missing electrolyte. Maintenance free ones need to be charged as needed. All batteries require careful handling on the part of the owner:

  • avoid deep discharge and storage in a discharged state;
  • avoid shaking and impacts of the body;
  • clean the case, especially the ventilation holes and contacts from dirt;
  • remove oxidation from terminals.

Before long-term storage, it is better to fully charge the equipment and remove it from the vehicle, placing it in a place where the temperature is not too high.

How to open the battery cover

Serviceable batteries have plugs for checking the cans. Getting to the contents of a maintenance-free battery is more difficult. There are no plugs, and the monolithic lid is a labyrinth for trapping and condensing vapors. Disruption of the labyrinth's passages will reduce the efficiency of the system. Therefore, before opening the battery cover, you need to weigh the pros and cons.

Attention! Before opening and checking the battery, it must be charged! The density of the electrolyte on a discharged battery is significantly lower!

Here are some options for how to get to the electrolyte:

  1. There is a peephole in the battery with float. By prying off the glass, we gain access to one battery bank. Measuring the density of the electrolyte in one jar does not give a complete picture.

  2. Remove the battery cover. The top part is cut off or torn off by force as it is soldered. After servicing the battery, the main difficulty is to glue the cover in place. This method should be avoided if possible.
  3. Drilling holes is the most accessible way to open a battery.

Agm batteries
Due to the high build quality of batteries and the popularity of the brand, Mutlu products are often replaced by unscrupulous sellers with low-quality counterfeit products. To prevent the possibility of purchasing a low-quality or non-original Mutlu battery, you need to remember that:

  • All batteries are supplied in a box made of durable cardboard with high-quality airbrushing. Each package is marked with certification data, a quality hologram and a batch number of the production batch;
  • Inside the product packaging, the battery is additionally wrapped in a protective layer of corrugated cardboard or soft paper. Also, in addition to the battery, the kit includes a warranty agreement and quality certificates of the current sample;
  • There is an identification number on the body of each battery, which allows you to check the authenticity of the product on the manufacturer’s website. Often the number can be replaced with company registration data, which also allows you to check the battery.

To avoid purchasing counterfeit Mutlu batteries, try not to buy products from uncertified sellers - always ask to see a license to sell battery products.

The main advantages of Mutlu batteries: briefly about the main things

Ni mh batteries

Turkish batteries are produced using calcium technology using purified electrolytes, which provides the battery with a wide range of advantages, namely:

  • Low self-discharge - the use of thinner plates makes it possible to install a larger number of them, thanks to which, with standard case sizes, the manufacturer was able to increase the battery capacity and prevent the possibility of self-discharge;
  • Long service life - the manufacturing company provides a guarantee of up to 4 years for the entire range of products;
  • Easy to maintain - Mutlu batteries do not require special care or storage rules. The batteries can easily withstand short-term frosts, which eliminates the need for daily removal of the battery from the car in cold weather;
  • Stable operation – manufacturing the battery using calcium technology, as well as installing a larger number of electrolyte plates, guarantees stable power and prevents dynamic current surges;
  • Reliability of assembly - the body of the unit is made of durable plastic, which is additionally reinforced in places prone to falls, which eliminates the possibility of liquid leakage in the event of a sudden drop of the battery.

Do-it-yourself repair - how to restore the battery correctly

Having reached the electrolyte, you need to check three parameters:

  1. Color. The electrolyte should be transparent, without foreign inclusions. The collapsing lead plates give the liquid a dark color.
  2. Level. As water evaporates, the electrolyte level drops, which reduces power. Each battery has its own liquid level parameters, but all batteries must have plates immersed in electrolyte.
  3. Density. It is checked with a special device - a hydrometer. The density of the electrolyte in a charged battery is 1.27.

The procedure for diagnosing a maintenance-free battery is as follows:

  1. We check the voltage of the battery and the vehicle's on-board network. This is necessary to prevent chronic undercharging of the battery. During short, frequent trips, the battery does not have time to charge; as the temperature drops, the capacity drops by 20 - 40%. Many owners blame working equipment, although it needs to be operated correctly.
  2. We charge the battery. For charging, it is advisable to use a factory-made charger, preferably with a controller. The use of electronics will increase the accuracy of the charge. If the charger is idle, set the current to approximately 0.1 of the capacity. A 60 A/h battery needs to be charged with a current of 5 - 6 Amps. Charging continues. until the ammeter readings drop to 2-3 amperes. A severely discharged battery needs to be charged with a current of 1-2 amperes (about 1/20 capacity) for several days. The voltage should not exceed 15 volts, otherwise the cans will “boil” and may swell.
  3. Drill holes in the battery cover. We check the electrolyte level using an improvised dipstick. If the battery case is made of light plastic, then the level can be checked by shining a flashlight through the battery.
  4. We check the density with a hydrometer.
  5. After checking and topping up, the battery must be tightly closed.

Is it possible to disassemble a maintenance-free battery?

The maintenance-free nature of the power supply is attractive for those who do not want to worry about the condition of the power source once again. At the same time, many are accustomed to monitoring all elements of the automotive system. It is traditionally believed that a closed battery cannot be opened. Indeed, there are no technical holes on the body of such batteries. However, if you want to make a car battery serviceable or remove lead from it, then you can disassemble a maintenance-free power supply. To do this, you will need some tools and knowledge of safety rules.

How to charge Mutlu batteries

Regardless of the technology used, any battery sometimes needs to be charged. Most Mutlu batteries are equipped with a charge indicator that will tell you when it's time to charge. If this is not the case, then you can check with a multimeter; if the value is less than 12 volts, then the battery can be considered severely discharged.

Charging is carried out with a special charger, which is first connected to the battery, observing polarity, and then to the network. The current should be no more than 1/10 of the battery capacity. That is, if the battery capacity is 55 A, then the current must be set to 5 Amperes or less.

A battery with an opening lid is considered charged when the electrolyte density in all cells reaches 1.280 g/cm3 at 20-35 degrees. After this, the battery is disconnected from the network. After half an hour, you can add water to it and start using it. Maintenance-free batteries are charged strictly at the recommended voltage.

Normal charging

If we take “antimony” and “hybrid” batteries, then their charging is normal. That is, we simply charge the battery with a current of 10% of its capacity (if the battery is 60 Am*h, then you need 6A) and a voltage of 13.8 - 14.5 Volts. After the charging current drops, it means the battery is charged, if you have a serviceable one, you can unscrew the plugs and see if there should be bubbles coming from the top.

In general, charging can be different, it’s one thing when you recharge a battery, a few hours are enough for you, but many charge it overnight with a small current, say 2 Amperes. It’s another matter when you need to fully charge the battery; here, at low current, it can stand for “days.”

Powerful batteries produced by Bosch are suitable for almost any truck, including those made in Asia, as well as for commercial vehicles with maximum power resources. The device requires virtually no maintenance, while the service life is increased by 20%, and the cold start current is increased by 15%. They can be installed in the car cabin, unless prohibited by the instructions.

Charging frequency

Many inexperienced motorists are faced with the question of when to charge the battery. It all depends on what generator is installed on your car, where, how and what you drive. For example, in the summer you don’t have to think about charging the battery at all, since if all systems are working properly, the energy generated from the generator will be enough to operate the car. The fact is that at idle engine speed it creates approximately 40A, and in operating mode - 60A or more. Therefore, there is no need to think about additional recharging.

A different situation is observed in the cold season - winter. If your car has no breakdowns and the starting system is well configured, then if used frequently in an average city, you will have to charge the battery once every one and a half to two months. This frequency will allow you to calmly drive on the highway, in traffic jams and not be afraid that the battery will run out at the wrong time.

It should be noted that if the temperature drops below -30 degrees, then charging can be carried out even more often, since repeated starting of the starter increases the load on the battery, and, accordingly, the rate of its discharge. If you have thus drained your battery (due to unsuccessful starting attempts), then you need to start charging the battery as quickly as possible, since the electrolyte loses its density and may freeze, which will damage the entire device and require its replacement. In addition, prolonged discharge can lead to sulfation of the plates, and therefore you need to charge on time. To make things easier for you and easier to navigate, below is the ratio of electrolyte density (referenced to 25°C, g/cm3) to freezing temperature (°C):

Mutlu brand batteries are good because they do not require maintenance for at least one year. However, they still need minimal care - all you need to do is check the electrolyte level regularly. If its level is low, this may indicate overcharging caused by a malfunction of the generator. If there is not enough electrolyte in any element, then, most likely, the entire battery will soon fail.

Mutlu Silver - batteries that have proven themselves to be reliable and durable devices. But still, at least once every two to three months, even if the battery works flawlessly, you need to check its voltage level. Remember that during operation the battery loses water, which leads to a decrease in the reserve level of electrolyte above the plates and an increase in the concentration of acid in the electrolyte. Deep discharge of the battery can occur due to a current leak in the electrical network, a generator malfunction, or long-term use of network consumers, even if the engine is not running. The battery can also fail due to manufacturing defects, violations of battery operating conditions, or complete exhaustion of the natural resource.

Mutlu batteries offer a wide range of devices, among which you can easily choose the most suitable solution for the characteristics of a particular car model. Thanks to a wide range of prices, buyers have the opportunity to choose a battery according to their preferences and financial capabilities.

Recommendations for use

One of the advantages of Mutlu brand batteries is ease of operation and the absence of the need for complex maintenance. In the first year after purchase, the car owner will not even need to additionally charge the battery; all that will need to be done is to monitor the electrolyte level and, if necessary , replenish fluid reserves by adding distilled water.

The presence of rapid discharge of the Mutlu Silver Calcium battery may indicate a malfunction of the generator. You will need to perform complex diagnostics, including measuring the car circuit with a multimeter and checking the functionality of the generator.

You can check the voltage at the terminals with a load plug; this indicator should be 12.6-12.9 V. Significant voltage fluctuations may indicate insufficient electrolyte levels or problems with leakage current, which can be caused by a short circuit and problems with the vehicle circuit. Deep discharge of the battery will require subsequent recharging, which is performed using purchased or self-made rectifiers.

If the generator is working properly and there are no short circuits in the circuit, a charged Mutlu battery will not require any maintenance or additional charging for 2 years or more. All the car owner will need to do is clean the terminals with sandpaper, check the electrolyte level and from time to time measure the voltage at the terminals with a multimeter.

Starting current, what it should be for your battery.

Different battery models have different starting current strengths and are designated, for example 520A (EN). (DIN). (SAL) The larger and more powerful your car, the higher this value should be. This parameter is especially important for diesel cars since the starting current affects the speed and force of rotation of the starter when starting the engine. The strength of the starting current is very important in the winter season, because the oil in the engine thickens and it is much more difficult for the starter to crank the engine. As a result, if you have a car like Matiz, then 480A (EN) is enough for it. If any SUV is also a diesel, then this value should be as high as 600A (EN). When purchasing a battery, you need to take into account the fact that this is the starting current declared by the manufacturer, but in reality it can be much lower and depends on the date of manufacture and the state of charge of the battery.

Capacity: how to choose a car battery.

So what is battery capacity? Capacity is one of the most important parameters that indicates how much energy the battery can store. This parameter is indicated in ampere hours 60 (Ah).

The capacity, as well as the starting current, must be selected individually for each class of machine. For a small car, a battery with the following parameters 6ST-40 (340A EN) is quite suitable. Buying a more powerful one is just throwing money away, and it’s not always possible to install a more powerful battery in a small car, since it simply won’t fit in its installation location. For an ordinary passenger car you need at least 55 A/h 450A (EN) for normal starting. Well, for larger and more powerful ones, such as Jeep 90A/h 720 (EN).

How to find out the release date and decrypt the code

The production date of a battery of this brand is marked with a laser on the upper part of the case. The marking includes six numbers. The first indicates the line number, the second - the year, the third and fourth - the month, the fifth and sixth - the day.

For example, 410819 is written on the case. This means that the battery’s release date is August 19, 2011, and it was produced on the fourth line.

Applied technologies and their features

The main technologies used in the production of these batteries:

  1. Silver-calcium alloy technology. Adding calcium increases equipment life and reduces fluid consumption. Silver reduces corrosion and increases resistance to high temperatures. As a result, the battery is extremely strong and durable.
  2. Expanded metal technology (Ex-Met). This method makes it possible to produce gratings using rolling and cutting rather than traditional casting. This type of grating is stronger than the traditional one.
  3. Continuous casting (Con-Cast). Reduces the number of deviations in production, strengthens the internal structure of negative grids. This method makes it possible to produce grids even for heavy-duty batteries.
  4. AGM technology. In batteries produced using this technology, the electrolyte is not in liquid, but in adsorbed form, as an impregnation for a special material. This enhances its adhesion to the work surface, eliminates spillage and reduces evaporation.
  5. Drilling method (Punch). The gratings are produced in the form of a tape, the holes on which are made by drilling. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to produce special designs of gratings and enhance their contact with the active mass.

Continuous investment in the development of new technologies contributes to the improvement of production, year after year.

Safety precautions

  • We strongly recommend using protective equipment when disassembling the power supply. It is strictly forbidden to turn over or shake the jars. This may cause a short circuit.
  • If the battery cover is secured with fasteners, be careful not to break them. In the event of a breakdown, the part will have to be glued, and this does not guarantee safe operation of the power source.
  • If you want to split the battery using a tool, choose special products that will help protect your eyes from splinters.

When should you recharge your battery?

Ideally, the battery should be recharged several times a month, no matter whether it is winter or summer, both of which are difficult periods for the battery. But before you mindlessly charge, you need to understand - is it worth doing? And there are several ways to check:

But before you mindlessly charge, you need to understand - is it worth doing? And there are several ways to check:

The very first thing, and this does not depend on battery technology, is to measure the voltage at the battery terminals. The normal voltage is 12.7V, which is a kind of 100% charge. If your voltage is 11.6 - 11.7 V, this is already a discharged battery, almost to zero. And a voltage of 12.2 indicates a discharge of 50%! You urgently need to recharge, otherwise the process of sulfation of the plates will start.

  • If the battery is serviceable, the process is much easier. However, you need to have what is called a "hydrometer". This is a special device for measuring electrolyte density. The density should be within 1.27 g/cm3. If the value is lower, then the battery should also be recharged.
  • Well, and perhaps the simplest thing is that if the battery “does not turn” the engine, first we try to charge it.

In any case, no matter how perfect your battery is, it is advisable to monitor it at least once a month. Will live longer.

Features of calcium battery

This technology has many advantages, such as high starting currents, high capacity, low maintenance (virtually no evaporation of electrolyte), low self-discharge, etc. But the disadvantages of this battery are instability to deep discharges (literally three or four times and the capacity drops significantly), the ability to charge them, they are quite expensive when compared with competitors.

To be honest, a calcium battery is made for dummies, that is, for people who do not understand at all how and what to do with the engine compartment of a car and do not look there for weeks, or maybe months. It is closed in an impenetrable case, there is practically no electrolyte evaporation, which means it can work for years.

But the fact is that in our conditions the car is used in different temperature ranges - say, in winter there are extremely low temperatures, which can lead to undercharging of the battery (after all, a cold battery does not charge well), especially on short trips. And in summer, due to high temperatures, the electrolyte can still escape through the high-pressure valve (available in all maintenance-free options).

Therefore, the simple truth is that the battery, be it calcium or any other, needs to be monitored, and I emphasize once again, PREFERABLY ONCE A MONTH OR MORE FREQUENTLY.

But often in practice everything turns out quite the opposite, we pay attention only when problems appear, say, the voltage at the terminals drops to 11.8 - 12V, and this, as I said above, is an almost “zero” discharged battery. That is, our “calcium generator” needs to be recharged in order to achieve 12.7V, but this does not work with a simple “charger”! But why?

Advantages of MUTLU batteries

With the onset of frost, the old battery began to fail, and served consistently for 4 years. The car now spends the night more and more often on the street, with the onset of frosts -15...-20C, the battery began to quickly freeze and discharge; it has already had to be charged several times.

Yes, this is that awkward moment when you are in a hurry to get to work in the morning, but the car won’t start)) For several days I monitored information on different battery manufacturers and scoured the Internet. Naturally, I didn’t miss the fact that according to the magazine “Behind the Wheel” the manufacturer Medalist turned out to be the best and even from the beginning, I decided to take it.

But the seller dissuaded me, allegedly this battery will be returned under warranty in a year and a half, because... it does not have the ability to top up the electrolyte. Recommendations were for the MUTLU (Turkey) and TOPLA (Germany) models.

The choice fell on MUTLU 60ACh 520A

— 520A (ampere) affects cold start, i.e. the higher the indicator, the more likely you are to start the car in cold weather.

How to add distilled water to a maintenance-free battery?

I use one, in my opinion, correct method - drilling the side wall of the battery , closer to the top cover.

What will you need?

  • Distilled water
  • Syringe with needle (the larger the volume, the better)
  • Drill with 1 mm drill bit
  • Soldering iron

I want to warn you - there are batteries with a transparent case that you can shine through with a flashlight, you can look at the level and if it falls, the plates are exposed, only then you need to drill. If the level is normal, but the battery does not charge, then the problem is different. Possible sulfation of the plates .

What are we doing?

  • We put the battery on a rubber mat, because we are working with electrolyte, there is sulfuric acid
  • On the battery we retreat 1 - 1.5 cm, from above from the cover

  • Drill, take a 1 mm drill

  • Next, pump in distilled water with a syringe and needle.

  • As soon as the liquid comes out of the jar, we stop

  • After filling all the jars, we raise the wall with the holes so that the electrolyte goes to the other side, just tilt it. I usually bet on the hammer.

  • We take a soldering iron and “seal” the holes, it’s quite easy to do

Again, from experience, sometimes quite a lot of distillate is included, more than a liter. This is a good sign - most likely it’s the water.

After this, we charge the battery, often the characteristics return. Not always, but this happens often.

This is the only way to properly add distilled water to a maintenance-free battery; the top cover should not be touched at all, just forget about it.

Is it necessary to add distillate again at some point? Most likely no. Because the first time you do this procedure is at least 5 years later, the second time - most likely your battery will not live to see it

Now there's an interesting video, let's watch it

This is where I end, I think my materials were useful to you. Sincerely yours, AUTOBLOGGER

Myths about a maintenance-free battery?

In relation to water, there are several myths:

  • You can tear off the top lid, the jars will open and pour liquid into them
  • Drill through the top of the lid, and again go to the cans (only on top) and pour water there

Both the first and second methods are VERY bad - you CANNOT do this!

I’ll try to explain in an accessible language - look, the top cover of a maintenance-free battery is made using a different technology than that of a regular battery. There is a certain labyrinth under it, the task is to condense water vapor in it, which rises from the cans and returns it back down. It's like a closed system.

If you tear off this top cover , then you will disrupt the operation of this “labyrinth”. The battery will no longer work properly. YES, you won’t be able to glue it or attach it back somehow!

The situation is the same if you drill holes on top , the seal of the lid again suffers, moisture vapor will escape out.

Can you ask a question? How does moisture escape if there is this labyrinthine lid? Everything is very simple - the system is not 100% sealed; on the sides of the battery there are, as it were, two holes (valves) that can release steam.

Manufacturer Mutlu

Mutlu battery manufacturer Mutlu Akyu is one of the most popular Turkish manufacturers in the industry. Founded in 1945 as a trading company, ten years later it produced its first battery. The modern production takes place in Tuzla and is a world class facility. Among similar enterprises in the region it occupies a leading position.

Today, Mutlu Akyu is a large global holding company, which includes enterprises in industries related to the production of batteries. The holding, in turn, is part of the Metair Grubu group in order to have greater influence on the international market and be successful in other countries.

Summing up

The Turkish company has firmly established itself as a very strong middle peasant in the production of power supplies, rechargeable starter and traction batteries.

These are world-famous batteries that have received international recognition. The advantages include the use of modern technologies and value for money.

Mutlu has no obvious shortcomings as such. But here each buyer draws his own conclusions. Some people like Mutlu in all respects. Others believe that there are better and cheaper options.

Where is Varta Blue Dynamic D43 used?

This battery was specially developed for modern cars with an engine capacity of up to 2.2 liters. It can also be installed on a small-displacement diesel engine with a volume of up to 1.8 liters, although it is better to use more powerful batteries for them. Mostly used on foreign cars of the budget and middle class.

Blue Dynamic D43 copes well with quite energy-intensive additional options, such as heated seats, mirrors, windshield, air conditioning and multimedia. It is worth noting that this model does not support the Start-Stop system.

Operation and Maintenance

As I said above, the battery itself never died, neither in winter nor in summer. But recently, when my father forgot to turn off the lights, and the car sat for about 12 hours, it was no longer possible to start the engine. But even in this case, he did not recharge it using the charger. The car was started from the pushrod and after driving for several kilometers, the battery was charged from the generator.

Regarding the addition of distilled water, during all this time they topped up only once, and even then only to a minimum, since the level was almost normal. Recently I wrote a topic about buying a charger, so I decided to take my charger and give it a little boost to my father’s battery. The only thing that bothered my father was that the light in the battery case did not turn green, although there were never any complaints about the work.

What happened after I measured the voltage at the terminals: it turned out to be 12.3 Volts. These figures indicate that the battery charge was only 50%. For reference, a fully charged one should produce 12.8 - 13.0 Volts at an ambient temperature of -5 to +5 degrees. So, even with a 50% charge, it coped perfectly with starting in the cold, and never failed during the winter! After many hours of operation of the charger, the voltage at the terminals became 13.10 Volts, and the light was green, as it should be.

The Mutlu battery has entered its 5th year of operation, and time will tell how long it will last. Of course, if something happens to him, I will definitely write it in this article. But I think it will work for another couple of years! You can leave your feedback if you have experience using a battery from this company!

Reviews

Vlad Served for six years. We traveled often, both in summer and winter, and it almost never stopped without rest. Of course, they didn’t take much risk; at minus 30, for example, they warmed up the car. But still - in all these years there has not been a single failure. Great battery!

Anton Reasonable price, reliable battery. I drive actively, and in two years I have never let me down.

Slava Very reliable. Excellent for frosty winters and for Russian cars, holds a charge well. I didn’t have to charge it all winter, and I didn’t even bring it home in cold weather.

Did you have or do you have a Mutlu ? Then tell us in the comments about your impressions of it, this will greatly help other car enthusiasts and make the material more complete and accurate.

Innovative solutions

If you are interested in high-quality parts for your car and strive to equip it with original components, then you will definitely like the innovative Mutlu battery

Reviews about it focus on the technological advantages of using this device. Thus, the battery is durable, since silver was used to create the plates

Another important detail is the adaptation of the battery to operating conditions in Russia. For example, when driving on uneven roads, many battery models deteriorate due to shaking and high levels of vibration.

In this regard, Mutlu batteries are reliable: they can be used on any road, and their service life is exactly as specified by the manufacturer.

Conclusion

The only category in which we have a serious leader is “price”. Here the “Turks” are noticeably inferior, that is, superior to the “Germans”. Otherwise, we see an equal fight on paper. We are, of course, not talking about “gel” batteries and batteries for the “Stop-Start” mode; in these categories VARTA is difficult to find equals. We are talking about calcium and silver-alloyed batteries for cars with medium and high load on the on-board electrical system. And in this category, everyone will choose the winner themselves. Some people will still bet on a name that inspires peace of mind, while others will decide to save money, all other things being equal. In the end, choosing the first or second option is simply a matter of faith.

Calcium plate manufacturing process

The old-style gratings, to which antimony was added, were smelted. When they tried to use the technology for an alloy with Ca, it turned out that it simply burned out when melted. Then they found a way out: they began to make a long strip of alloy, on which parts of the desired shape were cut out with stamps. The outer edging of the plate retains its strength, and the internal ribs can be made of any size, configuration, in any quantity.

Despite the fact that technological processes have been developed and put into production, factories continue to produce gratings made from a mixture of lead and antimony. Their production is simpler and cheaper than working with calcium. True, hybrids have recently appeared: an alloy that contains both antimony and calcium.
