Often Lada Largus owners encounter problems when the engine stalls or misfires. First of all, you need to pay attention to the spark plugs. During the operation of the vehicle, they wear out and lose their original technical characteristics. Different configurations of the Lada Largus differ not only in options and functions, but also in power units, so each variation has an individual spark plug arrangement. When choosing, you need to take into account several important features and also avoid fakes. We tested various spark plug models and compiled a list of the most affordable, durable and effective options.

What spark plugs are installed on Largus

A note about what spark plugs are installed on the 8-valve Largus from the factory;
what spark plugs the manufacturer recommends; where you can buy original spark plugs at an affordable price. The first 15 thousand on my Gus are long gone. And this is the mileage at which the car undergoes its first maintenance. At the same time, one of the mandatory service work was the replacement of spark plugs. The procedure is not complicated and took me no more than 20 minutes.

But before that the question arose: “What replacement candles should I buy?” Having opened the hood and unscrewing one of the spark plugs, I found out that my 8 valve valve has two-pin spark plugs Eyquem (RFC58LZ2E), made in France. The gap between the electrodes is 0.95 mm (± 0.05 mm). The country of manufacture “Made in France” is indicated on the case.

Here is a photo of one of them:

Where can I buy?

One of the large Moscow online stores, from whose catalog I select spare parts for Largus, gave me the following information on candles:

  • Article 224013682R — spark plug for 8 cells Lada Largus (7700500168), 2 electrodes, Romania, original
  • Article 224018651R — spark plug for 16 cl Lada Largus (replacement 7700500155), 1 electrode, France, original

I ordered according to the first article, i.e. 224013682R. The purchased candles corresponded to the original ones, with the only difference being that the country of their manufacture was Russia. Information about this is indicated on the packaging. On the body of the spark plug itself are indicated: letter markings of the Renault company, alphanumeric code. Country not specified.

This is what the packaging of candles 224013682R looks like:

And here's the candle itself:

I installed these spark plugs after the first maintenance. I also continue to use them at every scheduled replacement. There are already four technical inspections under my belt. The mileage has exceeded 60 thousand. The flight is normal.

The only question I have left is, what kind of spark plugs come under article number 7700500168 (7700500155)? Maybe just the original French ones? I'll try to buy one of these someday and find out what kind of animal it is.

Factory recommendations

If we contact the manufacturer directly, he redirects us to the operating manual and service book of the car, where not a word is said about spark plugs. To top it off, he sends it to the dealer.

If you look at the Largus manual, then for the K7J and K7M engines Champion RYCLC87 and SAGEM RFN58LZ spark plugs are recommended, and without division into 8-cl and 16-cl.

Spark plugs for Lada Largus

When buying candles on Lada Largus, you do not just purchase the necessary consumables. The correct selection of an element, insignificant in size and cost, determines the behavior of the car on the road, the cost of its maintenance, and your mood. Correctly selected spark plugs directly affect the speed, dynamic, and performance characteristics of the car.

The spark plugs included in the ignition system of a gasoline internal combustion engine serve to generate an electrical discharge. Under the influence of incoming voltage, a spark is formed between their electrodes. The subsequent ignition of the fuel mixture provides the energy necessary for the vehicle to move.

Faulty spark plugs can cause a lot of problems and hassle. The most serious ones include the following:

  • difficult, especially at low temperatures, starting;
  • unstable engine operation in idle, low and medium speed modes;
  • reduction in power, deterioration in vehicle acceleration dynamics;
  • increased fuel consumption.

All this makes the choice of spark plugs for Lada Largus not just part of the next technical or seasonal maintenance.

Lada Largus engines allow the use of spark plugs from different manufacturers, models, and operating data. Only their external characteristics remain unchanged - M14 thread with a length of the corresponding part of 19 mm, installation dimensions for a spark plug or socket wrench of 16.

Let's look at the most popular models of spark plugs that are equipped with Lada Largus engines. They differ in the number of contacts, as well as the metals used for their manufacture. Based on this, it is possible to install spark plugs with one or more side electrodes. The materials used are traditional chromium-nickel alloys or platinum group metals.

Let's start with the most common single-pin spark plugs.

The manufacturer of the K7M power unit with 8 valves provides for the installation of Renault spark plugs - a simple and reliable ignition source. It is manufactured mainly in France or in other countries under the strict control of the developer. Among high-quality analogues, it is recommended to use candles from manufacturers such as Bosh, Denso, NGK.

Among the best developments are the German Bosch FR7DC+ with iridium coating, the Japanese Denso K20PRU11 and NGK 4856 BKR6E. These models are distinguished by proven quality and long service life. All of them are equally successfully installed on the K7M 710 or the K4M 690, which has 16 valves.

The electrical discharge constantly arising between the central and side electrodes gradually leads to the destruction of the latter. The multi-contact design significantly extends the life of the spark plug. Therefore, installing Renault or Bosch FR7DC+ two-pin spark plugs on eight-valve K7M engines reduces the cost of periodic maintenance of Largus vehicles.

Among the three-pin spark plugs, it is worth noting Bosch 0241235752. By forming a stable spark, they ensure complete combustion of the fuel-air mixture. This helps the engine produce maximum power and optimal traction characteristics.

I would like to complete the review of spark plugs recommended for Lada Largus with iridium NGK Iridium 6418 BKR6EIX. Among the main advantages are a long service life (at least 70,000 km when consuming high-quality gasoline) and excellent starting qualities in the cold season.

Changing spark plugs in a Lada Largus engine is not difficult even for inexperienced car enthusiasts. A minimum of tools, good accessibility - even for the first time, the whole operation will take no more than half an hour.

The procedure for removing spark plugs for the K4M and K7M engines differs in only one way. On the 8-valve, before dismantling, it is enough to remove the high-voltage wires. In a 16-valve engine, it is necessary to unscrew the bolts securing the ignition coils. When performing work on any engine, it is recommended to clean the spark plug wells from dirt with compressed air.

The performance of your car’s engine depends on what spark plugs you install on your Lada Largus and how promptly you change them. By making the right choice, you will make life easier for yourself and your pet.

Spark plugs for gas engines: what to consider when choosing

Let's start with the fact that recently, against the backdrop of constantly rising prices for gasoline and diesel fuel, a car with a gasoline engine has truly become a mass phenomenon.

This option allows you to get the maximum benefit, since switching a gasoline car to cheaper gas makes it possible to significantly reduce fuel costs. It should also be added that even taking into account their high efficiency, they are more expensive than gasoline ones, and are also not without a number of their own problems. As for electric cars, such cars are still in the minority.

It turns out that in fact the only available alternative is the ability to convert the car to run on gas. At the same time, not all motorists, after installing LPG, take into account a number of features and nuances that arise after changing the type of fuel.

In other words, in order for the engine to operate normally on gas, and also to prevent reduction, it is necessary not only to correctly install and configure the gas system, but also to replace some elements and working fluids. More precisely, we are talking about, as well as about. If everything is more or less clear with engine oil, then difficulties may arise with candles.

Next we will talk about why to change spark plugs for gas equipment, as well as what needs to be taken into account and how to choose the right spark plugs for a gas engine.

As a rule, after installing gas equipment on a car, qualified specialists separately recommend immediately replacing the spark plugs. To replace, you should use special spark plugs for gas engines, which are slightly different from conventional ones. The need for such a replacement is dictated by the fact that ordinary candles are designed to ignite a mixture that consists of gasoline and air.

Conventionally, this mixture is more “dense”. At the same time, during the combustion of this mixture, a certain temperature arises.

If we talk about gas, the main differences are that the mixture of air and gas fuel has higher electrical resistance, as well as higher temperatures during combustion.

It turns out if you use ordinary

Selecting spark plugs for a car with gas equipment. What is the difference between gas and gasoline

After converting a vehicle to gas fuel (most often this is an installation), manufacturers of ignition systems recommend installing spark plugs for gas fuel on the car engine, designed specifically for operation on “CNG” and “LPG” (methane/propane). And indeed, some time after installing gas equipment, car owners notice a decrease in the life of spark plugs, coils, and high-voltage wires. In this article, we will understand the difference between spark plugs for gas and gasoline.

Should I install gas spark plugs, or should I limit myself to adjusting the gaps of standard parts? The main task of the vehicle ignition system is to ensure high-quality spark formation in all operating modes of the internal combustion engine.

Unlike gasoline, the combustion of a high-octane gas-air mixture in the combustion chamber of an engine occurs at an increased temperature and combustion time, and effective operation of the spark plug is possible only in a certain temperature range. In addition, a gas mixture (methane or propane) is more difficult to ignite; its ignition requires a more powerful spark, which causes an increased load on the car. To meet these conditions, the developers adapted the spark plugs specifically for operation on gas, where design solutions were applied:

  • reducing the diameter of the central electrode;
  • reducing the gap between the electrodes (the distance between the side and central electrodes);
  • the use of materials for the manufacture of electrodes that can withstand temperature loads (platinum, silver, yttrium, iridium).

The listed parameters are already taken into account in expensive gasoline spark plugs, where the electrodes are also soldered with precious metals. They differ from gas ones only in the gap. Often after installing gas equipment on a car, the internal combustion engine begins to throttle, failures appear and gas consumption is higher than expected.

These phenomena can occur for various reasons, one of the options is misfires due to an increased gap in the standard spark plugs, due to burning of the electrodes when operating on gasoline.

Replacing spark plugs on Lada Largus

As you know, without spark plugs it will be impossible to ignite the working mixture in the combustion chamber of a gasoline engine.

According to the manufacturer, spark plugs in a Lada Largus car should be changed every 30 thousand km. With moderate use, the service life can be much longer.

If you know how to determine the condition of a spark plug by its appearance (there is a certain technique), you can drive with them again and again.

However, if you do not have such knowledge (otherwise you would not have read this material), we advise you not to tempt fate and make the replacement in accordance with the recommendations. It will be much easier and calmer than the possibility of encountering such unpleasant phenomena as:

  • Reduced motor power.
  • Excessive load on the catalyst.
  • High fuel consumption.
  • Unstable operation while driving and idling (jerking).
  • Detonation of the working mixture.

What a big expense. On my 95th I have 7.6-7.9 without traffic jams. On the 92nd 7.9-8.4 approximately

On the highway it was 6.5 at the first 1000

What a big expense. On my 95th I have 7.6-7.9 without traffic jams. On the 92nd 7.9-8.4 approximately

What is the average speed?

That's why the expense is so high. On my K4M at an average speed of 16 km/h the average consumption is about 11.5. The author seems to have about 19 km/h in the video. And even then, it’s hard to believe that at 30 the consumption is 7.5, how much will it be on the highway at 80, for example, 4 or something? And the mileage after the reset may not have been fully calculated by the BC. 129 cannot have an efficiency higher by 20-30%; engineers in the world have not yet come up with such a thing

You may be right, but there are many factors for increased consumption due to installed roof rails, the number of passengers, driving style, etc. But even in winter, when I warmed up the car for 20 minutes. My flow rate at 92m did not exceed 8.5.

As for the nuances, yes, there is a lot to take into account. In any case, the consumption is highly dependent on the average speed. Moreover, in conjunction with the 129 gearbox with other gears. There should be less consumption than on K4M. But if you compare two 129s, there shouldn’t be a significant difference. And here, as you read, some eat like crazy, while others feed on the Holy Spirit. It's strange how it turns out

Have you ever had an average speed of 80 km/h? I have a maximum of 59

Why not? If you reset the BC before the highway and go, it’s fine. But this is synthetic, and yet, the operating consumption cannot be less than the passport

What can you say about the passport consumption of a Vesta with the same engine, except for its lower weight? She has city/highway/mix 9.3/5.5/6.9 liters. Moreover, it is written on 92 gasoline. At 95m I should probably lose another liter(◕‿◕)

I will say that the consumption cannot be less than these values. And the fact that at 95 the consumption should decrease is not a fact at all. It depends on the engine, perhaps it will drop by 129 a bit. But I repeat, not lower than the passport values, since the passport data is either calculated or in ideal conditions. Nobody drives like that

Have you ever had an average speed of 80 km/h? I have a maximum of 59

Replacing spark plugs on Lada Largus

Author: ·

Car owners, as a rule, replace spark plugs on Lada Largus themselves. This must be done without fail. Otherwise, of course, after a while, you can forget about the correct operation of the engine. The use of high-quality candles will be the key to stable operation of the domestic iron horse.

Wear and breakdown of these consumables will cause failure of the main ignition elements, including: • distributor cover; • coils;

• gas neutralizer.

We can say with all confidence that spark plugs are especially close to the engine cylinders and the processes occurring in them. By looking at the spark plugs, you can easily determine the correct operation of the engine, and also say a lot about the quality and even the composition of gasoline.

Replacing spark plugs in Lada Largus

Timely response and correct identification of engine malfunctions will save you from more serious problems. Candles cannot be considered the cause of all troubles, however, they serve as a kind of indicator of the health of the Lada Largus engine.

Correct assessment of appearance will help diagnose the problem at an early stage. So, even a change in the color of the candle will indicate a possible problem. If the working part of this engine part is gray or yellow, the heart of your car is in order. Sooty spark plugs directly indicate the formation of deposits that appear when the temperature is incorrect or the vacuum is reduced.

And if moisture appears on the spark plugs, it is necessary to check the integrity of the gasket and head ring. Such changes serve as a reason for a more thorough inspection of the spark plugs, the operation of which may be disrupted for the following reasons: • accumulation of various deposits; • rust; • damage or complete destruction of the insulator; • excess gasoline consumption;

• problems with ignition.

These are the main reasons that directly indicate the need for urgent replacement of spark plugs in the 16-valve Lada Largus engine. Only regular inspection of these components will help to avoid many troubles caused by problems in the ignition system.

Step-by-step instruction

Stage one. First, we remove all spark plugs without exception, since they have already exhausted their service life. As a rule, a complete replacement is carried out every 30 thousand km. car mileage This is the optimal indicator for domestic cars.

Stage two. The removal areas must be cleaned to prevent dirt from getting on the cylinder walls. It is best to clean using pressurized air, which blows out all foreign particles in the areas where new spark plugs are installed. As a last resort, you can use the old-fashioned method, which uses regular alcohol. Wipe the surface of the cylinders thoroughly and you can continue working.

Stage three. We remove only de-energized spark plugs. First, disconnect the wire by disconnecting the cap, and then unscrew the spark plug.

Stage four. Now you can proceed to directly removing the spent spark plugs using a wrench. Use this tool to unscrew the replacement part counterclockwise. If you have to make an effort, it is recommended to check the threads, which may be clogged. Just wipe it and the candle will probably leave its place without any problems.

Stage five. Installing new spark plugs on the Lada Largus is simple and understandable even for an inexperienced driver. To simplify the installation process as much as possible, you can use a special lubricant for these purposes. Now we simply put the new part in place and easily turn it counterclockwise, and after 2-3 turns in the direction of travel.

Stage six. Be sure to wear a cap that will reliably protect this part from the harmful effects of various external factors.

Often the caps are made of plastic and come with the spark plug. Simply lower the spark plug guard until it clicks.

And in the case of a rubber protective part, before installing it in place, it is lubricated with a special product that does not conduct electricity. Summarize

Spark plugs on the 8-valve Lada Largus engine, as well as on the 16-valve engine, can be called engine health indicators. Regular inspection and timely replacement can prevent more serious and costly engine breakdowns. All car owners will be interested in watching a video on how to properly replace spark plugs in a Lada Largus.

Replacing spark plugs Lada Largus (VAZ Largus)

In this article we will talk in detail about replacing spark plugs on a Lada Largus car with an 8 and 16 cl engine. The manufacturer recommends replacing spark plugs every 30 thousand km. This is exactly what the life of the candles and their performance are designed for.

Lada Largus cars are equipped with engines from Renault, so the spark plugs are suitable specifically for engines of this brand.

If you have a Lada Largus with a 16 valve engine, the original Renault spark plugs 7700500155 will suit you. The official analogues of these spark plugs are Motrio 224018651R. If you can’t buy such candles from us, you can get by with analogues from other manufacturers:

  • BOSCH FR 7 LDC+ 0242235668 price from 600 rubles per set
  • DENSO K20TT K20TT#4 price per set from 550 rub.
  • CHAMPION RC87YCL
  • SAGEM RFN58LZ

The above spark plugs are suitable for a 1.6 16 cl engine. K4M 102 (105) hp To replace the spark plugs, we need a spark plug wrench with a size of 16 and a socket with a size of 8 in order to unscrew the ignition coils.

The difference between replacing spark plugs on 16-cl and 8-cl engines is that on 16-valve engines each spark plug has a separate ignition coil, and on 8-valve engines there is only one coil. Also, spark plugs have different potassium numbers, plug types, diameters and gaps.

Which spark plugs are suitable for the K7M 8 valve engine

From the factory, on Lada Largus with an 8 cl engine, Renault spark plugs 7700500168 are installed. The official analogue of Motrio 224013682R. Instead, you can also install analogues from such manufacturers as NGK, DENSO.

Instructions for replacing spark plugs on a 16 valve engine

To avoid getting burned, it is best to carry out the replacement when the engine has cooled down. The first thing we need to do is remove the pads from each ignition coil.

To do this, carefully press the latch and disconnect each coil.

Using an extension and a 8mm socket, unscrew the bolt securing the coil to the body.

Now carefully pull the coil out of the well and put it aside.

Using a 16 mm wrench, unscrew the spark plug, then install a new spark plug, screw it in, put on the ignition coil and screw it in, generally reassemble in the reverse order. We change the spark plugs on the remaining cylinders in the same way.

Tighten the spark plugs with a force of 25–30 Nm.

After replacing all the spark plugs, no action is required to configure and adapt the motor.
