Today, there is no full range of technical characteristics of this version; it is only known that the cross version will be awarded only to the Granta station wagon, which will receive increased ground clearance to 240 mm and a plastic body kit. The Lada Granta Cross will be equipped with two types of gearboxes, AMT and manual, but we will not see hydraulic mechanics on the cross version. We won’t see the rear disc brakes that the Granta Sport will receive, while the front brakes will remain the same as before the restyling.

1. We install the machine on a level area.
2. Open the rear and front doors on the right or left side of the car.
3. Remove the rubber seal between the roof and the upper edge of the doors. We start with the back door.
4. There is no need to make holes for attaching the roof rails. They are provided by the factory and hidden under electrical tape. There is also no need to remove it. It is enough to simply pierce the electrical tape in the right place, after first attaching (trying on) the railing.
5. We wipe the areas under the roof rails with a clean rag, getting rid of possible dirt and dust.
6. We place the gaskets from the kit in the seats, aligning them with the mounting holes.
7. We attach the right rail, placing its brackets on the spacers so that they are between the bracket and the body.
8. We secure the roof rail using the screws included in the kit, 3 on each side of the car, without clamping them completely.
9. Pressing the roof rail tightly against the roof, we completely tighten the middle screw, and then the other two, but do not screw it tightly.
10. Along the perimeter of the front and rear railing brackets we glue the protector edgings so that the brackets are inside them.
11. We dismantle the railing.
12. In the resulting “windows”, limited by edgings, we install protectors by gluing them to the roof surface. The arrows on the treads should point forward.
13. We remove the edgings and smooth the protectors.
14. We install the railing according to the algorithm described above. We tighten the bolts all the way.
15. We install the railing on the other side in the same way.

2nd place - roof rack for Lada Largus with roof rails (amos)

It has a beautiful, oval paw shape. The roof rack of the Lada Largus is installed using a hex key. The lock protects the cargo from theft. Attaching the luggage compartment to a Lada car does not require much force. The basic body has rubber plugs on the roof, under which mounting holes are hidden. Rails (longitudinal supports) are screwed onto them.

The installation kit includes:

Roof rack Lux

Arcs - in the form of a rectangular steel profile in plastic 20x30 mm. Aerodynamic cross members have internal baffles. The device complies with European standards and is suitable for the use of additional accessories, such as bike racks and boxes. A rubber gasket protects from contact with the roof.

The instructions included with the device make it easy to install, for example, a roof rack on a Lada Largus. The car already has fixing brackets. They are located under the soft rubber seal. Therefore, there is no need to drill additional holes.

Salon

Earlier we said that the platform for creating the Granta liftback was Kalina. This can be seen in the interior as well. You can see what the Granta liftback salon looks like in the photo below.

If the exterior was at least somehow redesigned, then the interior is identical to Kalina-2, with the exception of some points. So, the same plastic with silver inserts, round deflectors, an instrument panel with two wells and a three-spoke steering wheel are used here. The latter is not equipped with buttons even in top trim levels, which causes dissatisfaction. It would be nice to have a speaker volume control and a call button. By the way, this car is equipped with a large multimedia display with Bluetooth only in top versions. The cheapest “Grants” come without any acoustics at all. But the database already has steering wheel adjustment (albeit mechanical, but still).

The instrument panel has a pleasant green backlight. Between the scales there is a small on-board computer display. Reviews say that the dashboard is very informative. Thus, the driver can find out information about daily mileage, daily and current fuel consumption, on-board voltage and many other parameters.

Salon

But the most interesting changes occurred in the chassis of the five-door Granta. Thus, although cars in the “Standard” and “Norma” versions received an improved suspension, the changes in it were reduced mainly to different settings. But in the “Lux” version, the liftback suspension is significantly different from the sedan: anti-roll bars both front and rear are much more powerful, gas-filled shock absorbers and stiffer springs are installed.

The purpose of all these innovations, according to S. Medinets, was to increase the stability of the car in corners, reduce roll and sway. The suspension of the luxury liftback is denser and more collected than on the sedan, although, according to our interlocutor, we had to sacrifice a little smoothness. And he himself considers the ideal option for our roads to be the suspension in the “Standard” and “Norma” versions with conventional liquid shock absorbers and the same springs as on the sedan: “Such a car is not as accurate in reactions as a luxury one, but it “swallows” better "Typical Russian road defects."

And finally, a new vacuum brake booster, which the Lada Granta liftback received. As a result, the pedal travel, according to our feelings, has become shorter, and the force on it increases as the braking progresses, not as sharply as before. And in general, it has become more informative and accurate.
