Lada Granta
(Lada Granta) was introduced in 2011 with the internal designation of the
VAZ car - 2190 (2191). The first generation of Lada Granta was produced in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2022, mainly with sedan and liftback bodies. After this, the model underwent restyling. There were versions with hatchback and station wagon bodies, as well as all road versions of Cross and a sports version - Sport. The second generation ( Lada FL ) was assembled in 2022, 2022, 2022, 2021. In our article you will find a description of fuses and relays of the Lada Grant with block diagrams and photographs for two generations. Let's highlight the fuse responsible for the cigarette lighter.
The execution of block diagrams and the purpose of the elements in them may differ from those presented and depend on the year of manufacture and level of equipment of the car (Granta Lux, Granta standard, Granta Norma). Check the description with yours on the back of the protective cover.
Location of fuses in Grant
- since 2011
- from 2022
“INSTALLATION No. 8-15 On LADA GRANT vehicles manufactured between 07/04/2014 and 01/19/2015, a problem may appear in the form of “the engine does not start, fuse F1 in the mounting block has blown” ...” If this is your case - The factory recommends updating the engine control unit program from an authorized dealer. It sounds strange, but it helps.
All fuses and relays of Lada Granta, Lada Granta Liftback, Granta Lux, Granta standard, Granta Norma, VAZ 2190, VAZ 2191 - 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2022, 2022, 2022, 2022 model years.
Most fuses are located in the vehicle interior under the instrument panel on the driver's side, behind a protective cover on which the relays and fuses of the main unit are marked on the reverse side.

Removal and replacement process
To replace, you will need pliers with thin jaws or plastic tweezers.
Under the hood
To do this you need:
- Turn off the ignition and open the hood.
- Open the LADA Granta engine compartment fuse box by pulling its cover up.
- Pull out the blown fuse using pliers.
- Install a new element and check the operation of the device it protects. If the fuse blows when it is turned on, then there is a short circuit somewhere in the circuit and the cause must be eliminated.
In the cabin
The procedure is as follows:
- Turn off the ignition.
- Grab the bottom of the panel between the steering wheel and the handles that control the headlights.
- Pull the panel towards you, being careful not to break the plastic clips.
- Disconnect the wiring harness from the trunk lock switch.
- Take small plastic tweezers attached to the block.
- Using plastic tweezers attached to the block, pull out the blown fuse.
- Install a new element and check the operation of the protected device. If the fuse immediately blows, then it is necessary to check the condition of the circuit and eliminate the cause of the short circuit.
The relay is replaced in a similar way, but instead of small tweezers, large ones should be used.

What to do if the safety device malfunctions?
The answer is also not difficult. Replace the burnt device with a new one that fully complies with the technical parameters of the previous one. It is not expensive and is sold in all auto parts stores. As a little advice. Have a spare fuse or even several. Since they fail quite often, especially in winter and summer. And also when repairing a car. This is explained by the increased load on the electrical system when the air conditioning and interior and seat heaters are running. Negligence when disconnecting the battery (de-energizing the network) during minor repairs, etc.

Activation rules
Before this process, it is important to close the car doors and remove the keys from the ignition and wait six seconds. If nothing is forgotten and all actions are performed in a synchronized sequence, you can pay attention to how the red light starts and lights up, the immobilizer indicates the correctness of the actions. After this, the owner has no more than seven seconds to remove this key and replace it with a black one in the ignition. It is important that sound signals are emitted during this process. If this is not observed, the entire procedure must be started again.

How to find out if the immobilizer is activated?
This should not be confused with the “check engine” icon, which also lights up when you turn the ignition key. This icon does not go out until you start the engine. Learn more about why your check engine light may come on here.
If this icon is lit, it means the immobilizer is not activated.
If, when starting the car, the “car with key” icon lights up and goes out after a while, then the immobilizer is disabled! This is a direct threat to the safety of your car.

Useful tips
If the fuse constantly blows, then this is a reason to think about the correct operation of this circuit. We also do not recommend making changes to the design unless absolutely necessary.
A device designed to protect electrical wiring from voltage surges and associated overloads in the circuit, as well as short circuits, is called an electrical fuse.
