Maintenance frequency

Required spare parts

When maintenance is carried out on Lada Granta cars from a domestic manufacturer, certain elements are replaced, which is prescribed in the regulations.

Based on the technical regulations, the following mandatory parts and consumables are identified that must be replaced at certain intervals:

  • The air filter is changed at 30, 60 and 90 thousand kilometers.
  • The cabin filter needs to be changed every 15 thousand, that is, within the framework of TO1, TO2, etc.
  • Engine oil, like the oil filter, is changed every maintenance, starting with the so-called zero. Although there are some nuances here. Not all versions of the Lada Granta must undergo zero maintenance.
  • The brake fluid is changed for the first time after 45 thousand km, and then at 90 thousand kilometers.
  • Spark plugs are changed after one maintenance, that is, at a mileage of 30, 60, 90 thousand km.
  • According to the regulations, the timing belt will have to be changed for the first time at 75 thousand km.
  • Drive belts must be replaced at 30, 60 and 90 thousand.
  • The oil in a manual transmission lasts up to 90 thousand km.
  • The fuel filter is changed in the same way as the drive belt and spark plugs.
  • The lambda probe or oxygen sensor needs to be changed for the first time after a mileage of 75,000 km.

Firstly, no one is immune from manufacturing defects (even if it’s a cool foreign car, the human factor is always present), if it’s not a significant breakdown (as they say), then God bless it, but if it’s a serious breakdown of the chassis or engine, then it’s not very good anymore. You can detect this breakdown at an early stage.

Secondly, you will have all the vehicle's fluids checked. That is, it is possible to identify a problem with hidden defects, for example, the gasket between the “head” and the block itself is faulty, then the liquid will go either into the cylinders or into the manifold.

Maintenance schedule and work performed

Having studied the basic information about maintenance for cars of the Lada Granta line, it is worth taking a separate look at when the first maintenance of the car is carried out, how the 8-valve version differs from the 16-valve version, and what list of works is relevant for this or that maintenance.

Zero maintenance

Although this is considered the first maintenance, in fact it is zero, since it is not relevant for all versions of the Lada Grant.

The so-called TO-0 has its own characteristics, provided for by the instructions of the domestic automaker dated March 20, 2013.

According to this directive, for 8-valve engines installed on Lada Granta, only valve adjustment is required as part of zero maintenance. This is done in the period from 2 to 3 thousand kilometers.

If there is a 16-valve engine under the hood, TO-0 is not required, nor is it necessary to make any entries in the service book.

Therefore, it is often important to study the list of necessary work on Lada Granta cars within the framework of 1, 2, 3 and all subsequent regulated maintenance. By following the established schedule and completing the required list of work, it is possible to maintain the machine in optimal technical condition.

It is carried out one year from the start of operation, or after 15 thousand kilometers.

This includes the following checks and work:

  • a complete list of work prescribed for all maintenance;
  • replacing the cabin filter;
  • checking belt tension and adjusting valves (for 8-valve versions);
  • cooling system and antifreeze level;
  • electrical equipment;
  • gearbox oil level and signs of leaks;
  • suspension;
  • steering mechanisms;
  • electrolyte in the battery;
  • brake pads, cylinders and boots;
  • clearances on the steering rack;
  • steering rack play;
  • air conditioner.

All work, except the first 3 points, belongs to the category of additional.

Valid after 2 years or after 30 thousand km.

Mandatory work includes:

  • all activities for TO-1;
  • changing the air filter;
  • fuel filter;
  • alternator belt;
  • spark plugs.

Additionally, you need to check the brake pads and the condition of the brake assembly.

Required after a mileage of 45 thousand kilometers or after 3 years from the start of operation of the vehicle.

It is necessary to perform the following work:

  • operations within all maintenance;
  • replace the cabin filter;
  • fill in new brake fluid;
  • adjust the valve clearances and check the tension of the alternator belt (8-valve engines);
  • change the coolant.

Additional checks include the work prescribed in TO-1.

As part of the 4th scheduled maintenance, the list of work is similar to that carried out at TO-2. The exception is replacing spark plugs.

It is carried out when the mileage reaches 60,000 km.

Valid for 75,000 km. mileage or 5 years from the start of operation of the Lada Granta.

As part of this service you will need:

  • perform work and inspection in accordance with TO-3;
  • change antifreeze (coolant);
  • install a new oxygen sensor;
  • pour new oil into the manual box;
  • change the timing belt if it is an 8-valve internal combustion engine.

As you can see, the work is repeated periodically, and the routine procedures do not differ much from previous maintenance.

This is already an impressive 90 thousand kilometers. However, within the framework of this maintenance, the same operations are carried out as in the case of TO-2. But you will also need to replace the brake fluid.

As part of the conditionally final maintenance at around 105 thousand kilometers, the work is similar to that performed at maintenance-1.

It is impossible to name the exact cost of maintenance, since everything depends on the specific situation and the list of work performed, in addition to the regulated ones. And they will definitely be there.

According to the official AvtoVAZ website, the approximate prices are as follows:

  • For TO-0 1600 rubles for an 8-valve internal combustion engine. Other versions of TO-0 do not pass;
  • TO-1 will cost 5-6.5 thousand rubles;
  • TO-2 costs about 6-7.2 thousand rubles;
  • TO-3 from 5 to 6.5 thousand rubles;
  • TO-4 from 6 to 7.3 thousand;
  • TO-5 about 5-6.5 thousand;
  • TO-6 will cost 11.5-12.5 thousand rubles.
