The parcel arrived quickly, completely intact and safe. In the package:

From the front the device looks great. Everything fits perfectly, I really liked the print quality and colors.

Peculiarities

The appearance of such a tidy is simply luxurious - it looks stylish and expensive, immediately highlighting the interior of your X Ray.

It has a 4.3-inch display using TFT technology. In addition, 5 indicators can be displayed simultaneously, which makes reading information even faster and more convenient, and this is important when driving at high speed.

This component was received for testing by one of the Drayvovites, known there under the nickname Valdemar600. He immediately noted a number of pleasant and useful points:

Colorful – this dashboard looks much more attractive than the standard one;
The presence of a sports mode, which allows you to display the current engine speed, as well as maximum speed during acceleration;
Fuel indicators – fuel consumption (instant and average), as well as remaining range on the current gasoline supply;
Battery charge level;
The calendar is far from the most necessary aspect in this case, but it is there;
Crossover maintenance - for example, you can set a notification for an oil change;
Possibility to display an overspeed indicator.

Installation

We remove the standard instrument panel. Installing the new panel did not cause any problems (in the video provided to me, everything is much more complicated, more details are disassembled):

Installation is in the reverse order, only insert the programming cable before inserting the panel into the dashboard and lower it insulated under the steering wheel;
Having tightened the panel with the lower screws, we install a new visor covered with leather;

Review

The tincture with the manual in hand did not cause any problems. The functionality of the panel is very wide and solves many of the inconveniences of the standard panel. Such as engine temperature, immediately activated cruise control (no need to program anything), fuel indicator in liters, and not in incomprehensible dashes (either 6 liters per dash or 8), voltmeter, reading and erasing errors (diagnostics) and more a lot of things. Everything is configured with a rotating button on the panel and scrolled through using standard buttons on the wiper lever. Everything is very cool.

Firmware for the instrument panel (activation of the clock and backlight) on Lada XRAY

Lada XRAY received a modified instrument cluster from Renault. Is it possible to install the instrument panel from the Cross version on the Lada XRAY?

One of the distinctive features of the Cross version is the updated instrument panel, which now shows the coolant temperature. Let's figure out whether it is possible to install a standard instrument cluster from the Cross version on a regular Lada XRAY?

There are currently several types of dashboards. On the Internet, under one article, they can sell shields with an old BC (blue without an engine temperature indicator) and a new BC (black with an indicator).

On the left 248105500R is the old-style XRAY instrument panel, on the right is 8450022501 of the new model:

Whether the instrument panel from the Cross version will work on a regular XRAY depends on the vehicle configuration and the article number of the new instrument cluster.

There are examples when the XRAY Cross (8450022501) instrument cluster, when installed on a regular XRAY, worked partially. An engine temperature indicator appeared on the on-board computer screen, but instead of other data it read “ErrPr” (photo source). However, the BC control buttons do not work.

Another example (author sr86) replaced the standard dashboard (part number 248109918R) with a new dashboard (part number 8450022694). The owner notes that all functions of the instrument panel are working, but the multi-function warning light is on and error U0001-87 (Loss of CAN bus communication) is in the memory.

It is possible that software activation is required for the shield to function properly. At the moment the issue remains unresolved.
