A new headlight on a Lada Vesta costs on average from 4,835 to 17,864 rubles . This price range includes models of headlight units that are installed on standard mounting locations, without changing the on-board power supply or control.
The new Lada Vesta head light has been used since 2015 without making changes to both the housing design and the technical equipment of the module. The light source is a combination of a curved sectional reflector and lamps with H7, h2 socket. The latter are responsible for the high beam. The DRL unit is equipped with a 5W/W21 , which is also duplicated for the side light. The same familiar PY21W is integrated into the turn signal unit. This combination turned out to be very effective, both in terms of practical qualities and maintainability.
The cost of such a headlight can also be called “national”. The use of the original headlight unit and glass (does not require polishing) allows for a quick independent upgrade to a xenon lens or one adapted for the use of LEDs.
The device of the headlight "Lada Vesta"
The block headlight on the Lada Vesta is a set of lighting devices that improve visibility in various road conditions. Most car enthusiasts are more familiar with the term “headlight” than “block headlight” or “head light,” but these are all synonyms.
LEDs in the headlight
The headlight unit consists of:
- low beam headlights;
- driving lights;
- DRLs (daytime running lights) and dimensions (why the rear dimensions do not light up)
- turn signal.
Over time, the head light on the Vesta loses its former brightness.
Fog lights LADA Vesta
Now FTF (fog lights) are an integral part of any car, which provides excellent visibility even in bad weather and fog.
Unfortunately, the AvtoVAZ company equips PTF only with the top-end configurations of the LADA Vesta. For these reasons, owners of inexpensive car configurations are required to install headlights themselves, and in order not to lose the warranty, they should seek help from an authorized dealer, who will charge tens of thousands of rubles for this.
Reasons for dim headlights on Vesta
Over time, the headlights on the Vesta no longer illuminate the road as well as before. Wiping the headlamp itself from splashes, dust and dirt, which has already become habitual, does not give any tangible result.
PTF lenses
Below are the main reasons why the headlights on the Lada Vesta dim:
- Lamp aging. Tungsten, the material from which the filament is made, gradually evaporates and settles on the walls of the lamp, which greatly affects the brightness. The inside of the light bulb is filled with gas - halogen, which prevents clouding, but up to a certain point. In this case, it is possible to improve the light on Vesta only by replacing the lamp with a new one.
- Damage to the headlight reflector. The manufacturing plant very accurately calculates every aspect of the car's operation, including how bright the headlights should be. When installing headlights that are not intended for a given car (xenon is now popular), over time the reflector (the device responsible for forming a powerful beam of light) loses its shine, and the headlights sharply lose their former brightness. In this case, only installing a new headlight will help improve brightness.
- The headlight reflector is dirty. Occasionally, depressurization of the headlight unit itself may occur, with further particles of dust and dirt getting inside, which leads to clouding of both the reflector and the glass itself. In such situations, the inside of the headlight is cleaned with a warm soapy solution, which has a positive effect on improving the light on the Vesta.
- Cloudy glass. Glass is now rarely used by automakers; plastic is more often used. Due to frequent mechanical microdamages (flying dust, dirt from under the wheels of the car in front, and simply wiping the headlights), the plastic material wears out, gets scratched, becomes yellow and cloudy. Specialized polishing of the headlights at a car service center will help you cope with this problem, after which they will become as good as new.
- Poor electrical contact. This happens extremely rarely, but it is also worth mentioning. Corrosion of electrical connections causes a significant loss of power output, and lower voltage reaches the lighting fixture than intended. As a result, the light bulb burns a rich yellow light and is much less bright. In such cases, cleaning all contacts and connectors will help increase the brightness of the headlights.
Any reason for the dim light of the lamps can be eliminated either by cleaning (polishing) the already installed spare parts, or by replacing them with new ones.
What does the price depend on?
The final retail cost of a new headlight on a Lada Vesta, for the most part, depends on the year of its manufacture, since the reflector and light sources remain unchanged. Despite the standard technical characteristics, the cost of the original headlight is affected by the following:
- Set of 2 or individual purchase.
- Complete with light bulbs.
- Complete with new chips for connecting to the wiring.
Analogues of headlights are priced based on the following parameters:
- Material and thickness of protective glass.
- Lensing or regular solid reflector.
- Presence/absence of an electric lens adjustment drive.
- Type of light bulb.
- Power and dimensions of the ignition/control unit.
In total, the market offers 16 options for analog headlight modules, which differ radically in price. The latter directly indicates the quality of workmanship, functionality and modernization potential.
The use of non-standard headlight modules entails denial of warranty service for the car regarding electrical systems, as well as errors in the internal combustion engine caused by the computer, injectors and other sensors.
What kind of lamps are installed on Vesta at the factory?
The manufacturer equipped the Lada Vesta car with well-known halogen lamps. You can find out what lamps are used on the Lada Vesta here. With proper care and proper setup, they are in no way inferior to their foreign counterparts. The head optics of the car not only have a modern look, but also a convenient location of all lighting elements for their quick replacement. Complete dismantling of the headlight unit to replace the low beam lamp can now be forgotten forever.
Headlight lamp
From the factory, Vesta family vehicles are equipped with the following light bulbs:
- low beam - H7 bulb with a power of 55 W;
- high beam - H1 bulb with the same power as low beam;
- DRL and side lights – W21/5W;
- direction indicators – PY21W bulb (orange bulb).
If we talk about lighting manufacturers, they install lamps from Osram Bilux, General Electric, Phillips.

The following lamps are used in the front headlight unit:
- halogen low beam lamps H7;
- halogen high beam lamps H1;
- dimensions W21;
- DRL 5W;
- turn signals PY21W.
Replacement of headlights is carried out according to the following algorithm:
- Open the hood.
- Unscrew the front and rear light covers.
- Disconnect the wires.
- We take out the cartridge from the spring retainer.
- We change the light bulb and assemble the headlight.
As you can see, replacement doesn’t even require tools - the main thing is to understand a little about the electrical circuit of your car. However, you should remember that replacing headlight bulbs yourself will void the warranty.
The best low and high beam lamps for Vesta
The resource of any spare part for a car is limited. Sooner or later, a failure can occur in any device, including a headlight. The most common malfunctions are failure of low and high beam bulbs. In the previous paragraph it was mentioned which lamps the manufacturer prefers to install.
White lamps on Vesta
The low beam has an H7 base, and here are the lamps that owners prefer:
- OSRAM H7 12V 55W PX26d;
- Philips H7 12V 55W PX26d LongeLife Ecovision;
- Philips Vision H7;
- Bosch H7 12V 55W PX26d ECO;
- MTF Iridium H7.
High beam lamps, especially loved by owners:
- MTF Light MAGNESIUM H1 100W;
- MTF Light PALLADIUM H1 55W;
- Osram H1 Cool Blue 4000K 64150 CB;
- Osram H1 Night Breaker + 90% 64150 NBR;

As you can see, car enthusiasts agree with the manufacturer in choosing lamps.
Tail lights LADA Vesta
The rear headlight unit consists of the following bulbs:
- dimensions 5W;
- Brake signal P21;
- turn signals WY16W;
- reverse W16W;
- Dimensions on the trunk of W5W.
To replace the rear light bulbs of a LADA Vesta, you must proceed according to the following scenario:
- First of all, it is important to disconnect the ground.
- By unscrewing the trunk trim of your LADA Vesta at the level of the headlights, you can get access to the light bulbs.
- Now you should remove the cartridges. We disconnect the wires of the cartridge we need and turn it clockwise - then it can be easily removed.
- The brake and parking lamps are unscrewed counterclockwise, and the turn signal lamp is even easier to get out - pull it towards you.
- Using a size 8 wrench, you can unscrew the nuts securing the external lamp, after which it can be easily removed.
Then replace the light bulbs you need and reassemble in the reverse order.
Cost of lamps
Low and high beam lamps can be purchased for prices starting from 100 rubles. It all depends on the brand and model of the manufacturer. If we talk about the light bulbs mentioned in the previous paragraph, then for the Osram brand you will have to pay from 200 to 500 rubles, for Phillips - from 400 to 900 rubles, and for the MTF brand - from 1000 to 1500 rubles. The most important thing when choosing lamps is not to violate the factory design and not to try to achieve a strong improvement in the operation of the lamps. During the day, this threatens with serious sanctions from traffic police officers, and at night - also with severe blinding of drivers moving in the opposite direction.
Adjusting headlights on LADA Vesta
The headlight adjustment procedure is performed if you have changed springs, optics or other body parts. This is quite simple to do - the main thing is not to deviate from the instructions:
- Place your car with the headlights on perpendicular to a flat wall - it should be at a distance of exactly 3 meters.
- Have your assistant sit in the driver's seat.
- Make sure that line 0 runs along the longitudinal plane of the LADA Vesta.
- Lines 1 and 2 should run through the center of the low beam bulbs.
- Install the electric corrector on the panel with a load of 75 kg (average driver).
- Take any dense material and cover the light of one of the headlights.
- Now you should check the location of the light spots on the wall - to do this, turn on the low beam.
If the light spots do not meet the requirements in the picture above, then they need to be adjusted. This can be done by adjusting the screws on the headlight unit. One of the screws is responsible for adjusting the light vertically, and the second – horizontally.
In this easy way, you can adjust the headlights on a LADA Vesta in less than an hour - it is not necessary to take the car to an official dealer.
How to replace bulbs in a headlight
The design of the headlight unit on the Vesta is not much different from the older representatives of the Lada family. Therefore, the procedure for replacing the lamp has not changed:
- Remove the protective cover of the required compartment (high or low beam).
- Disconnect the wires that go to the lamp.
- Disengage the antennae of the spring clamp of the lamp.
- Remove the lamp.
To install a new lamp, perform the steps in reverse order. You can learn more about the process of replacing lamps in the video instructions.
Please note that the lamps are halogen. You should not touch the bulb with your fingers, as this may cause it to darken later when the lamp heats up.
Cost for popular positions of head light units
Considering the popularity of this car model in the last few years, quite a lot of front optics have appeared on the market, which differ in a number of parameters, as well as visual qualities. Popular positions with good reviews include:
