The delivery set includes 3 keys: 2 black “working” keys (hereinafter referred to as RK ) and a red “master key” (hereinafter referred to as MK ) for training the system. The indicator lamp (hereinafter referred to as CL ) signals the programming state. Its rapid flashing (5 times per second) indicates that the learning procedure is being performed correctly. Stopping fast flashing means:

  • wrong action;
  • exceeding the time provided for completing the training procedure;
  • malfunction;
  • This RK has already been trained by another immobilizer (does not fit the ECU).

Training procedure:

Carrying out the training procedure leads to the following consequences:

  • the engine control controller activates the anti-theft function if it has not been activated;
  • the system changes its password to a new one chosen at random;
  • a new system password is written into the training key;
  • all remote controls that were previously trained are erased from memory;
  • The codes of those remote control units that were trained in this training procedure are stored in memory.

The training procedure is applied in the following cases:

  • activating the anti-theft function in the controller (for example, in a new car or replacing a faulty controller);
  • erasing old and training new remote controls if lost;
  • changing the system password if the owner admits that his system password may have been read (for example, when selling a car from one owner to another)
  • remote control training when replacing a faulty immobilizer with a new one.

Only new remote control units or those that were previously trained using the training key used in this training procedure can be trained. It is impossible to learn a remote control key from another car into your car.

Please note: Due to the importance of the training key, it is not recommended to use it for everyday use and should be kept in a safe place.

Before starting the training procedure, fill the car with at least 10 liters of gasoline so as not to get confused by the squeaks.

  2. Turn off the ignition. The indicator light in the warning lamp unit should flash quickly (at a frequency of 5 times per second) while the learning procedure is being carried out correctly. If the lamp stops flashing quickly, it indicates an incorrect operation, an out-of-time interval, or a malfunction. Remove the training key from the ignition switch.
  3. While the warning lamp is flashing (about 6 seconds), insert the remote control and turn on the ignition. The immobilizer buzzer should emit three beeps. If the buzzer does not sound and the indicator has stopped flashing, this means: - the time interval of 6 seconds has been exceeded and it is necessary to repeat the learning procedure, starting from step 1; -immobilizer is faulty
  4. Wait 6 seconds for the buzzer to emit two more beeps and turn off the ignition.
  5. If it is necessary to train the second remote control, then you should perform steps 3...4 again, using the second learning remote control to turn on the ignition. If not, continue from step 6.
  6. After turning off the ignition for no more than 6 seconds, while the indicator is flashing, remove the remote control, insert the learning key and turn on the ignition. The buzzer should beep three times. Wait 6 seconds until the buzzer beeps two more times.
  7. Turn off the ignition without removing the training key, wait 6 seconds until the buzzer sounds a single sound signal. The indicator should flash twice as fast. If the sound signal does not sound and the flashing indicator stops, you should return to step 1 and repeat the learning procedure. If a repeated failure occurs when performing step 7, this means that the ECM was previously trained with a different key, in which case the controller should be replaced.
  8. After the buzzer gives a single sound signal, no later than 3 seconds, turn on the ignition for 2...3 seconds and then turn it off (after turning on the ignition, the buzzer will sound three times and the indicator will stop flashing). The hazard warning lights should flash and the car horn should beep.
  9. Remove the learning key. Wait with the ignition off for at least 10 seconds. Insert the working key and turn on the ignition. Wait 6 seconds, if the indicator does not flash, test start the engine, the engine should start. If the indicator flashes, turn off the ignition and wait at least 10 seconds. Turn on the ignition. The warning light should not flash and the engine should start. If, after turning on the ignition, after 6 seconds the indicator lights up with a constant light, then the learning procedure must be repeated, starting from step 1.

Detailed description of programming

To train the Kalina immobilizer, you must follow 8 main points.

The first step is to close all the doors and turn on the ignition.

Manipulation is carried out exclusively with a training key. After ignition, you must hold for 6 seconds.

At the second stage, the Lada Kalina is turned off. At this moment the warning light will start flashing and this will continue until the learning process is completed. If the indicator stops giving light signals, it means that some action was performed incorrectly. If this situation occurs, the ignition procedure must be repeated.

At the third stage of training Lada Kalina, the lamp continues to flash for about 6 seconds. At this point, you need to insert the working key and turn on the ignition again. Correctly performed actions are accompanied by three signals that the buzzer will sound.

At the fourth stage you need to wait a little. After repeated signals from the buzzer, you can turn off the ignition and carry out the procedure again. If you are unable to complete the training, a mistake has most likely been made. Perhaps the chip key has already gone through this procedure.

At the fifth stage, the ignition is turned off. The operation with the second element must be repeated 3-5 times.

At the sixth stage, the control lamp flashes. It is necessary to remove the trained remote control and reinsert the training one. If the actions are performed correctly, the buzzer will sound three times.

At the seventh stage, you should wait for two accompanying sounds. The work is completed by turning off the ignition and waiting for a single sound signal.

After all manipulations, the chip key is considered trained. Don't worry if you didn't achieve the desired result the first time. Repeated action will correct the situation.

In the third year of operation, the standard ignition key from the editorial Lada Kalina died for a long time. The same one that is familiar to all owners of modern Lada models, as well as Datsun sedans and hatchbacks and UAZ Patriot all-terrain vehicles - with a protruding sting and three buttons. Most likely, the reason for the failure was the printed circuit board: at first, the battery charge began to last only for a week, and then even installing a new battery ceased to revive the domestic craft.

So I went a different route. First, I called official dealers and was horrified by the prices: the officials are ready to sell a standard key and program it for a specific immobilizer for “only” 2,500 rubles. Two and a half thousand - and in your hands you will find a key that has set your teeth on edge, the plus of which is that you can always uncork a bottle of carbonated drink with it, and the minus is that it regularly damages your pockets. Or linings in a purse.

I found an alternative in the famous Tolyatti GSK “Plamya” - a garage cooperative, where sellers of spare parts for domestic cars have settled in dozens of boxes since time immemorial. I remember how, during my university years, a teacher who also worked at AVTOVAZ was surprised: they say, we are just finishing testing the promising Kalina, and “Plame” already has components for it! If it’s not convenient for you to go to Tolyatti, you can look for an alternative on the Internet - there are plenty of offers from both Chinese sites and domestic retailers.

One way or another, I settled on a key for 1,500 rubles, which not only exactly copies the “clamshell” for Audi models, but along with the mark of a famous brand bears the proud inscription Made in Germany. According to a friend who works at an official dealership, they order keys in Germany only if a specific client requests them and do not store blanks, but it is certainly not a problem to arrange wholesale deliveries if desired. I specifically compared this blank with a first-generation Audi Q7 key and discovered the only difference was in the metal blank for cutting the bit.

Audi and Lada ignition switches are different, so sellers replaced the flat German “blade” with a sting with horizontal slots. All that remains is to grind out a suitable beard (another 150 rubles) and train a new key to work with Kalina’s standard immobilizer.

In order for the master to make a groove on both sides, he had to disassemble the new key. Usually, to replace the switch blade, it is enough to knock out the pin at its base, but Togliatti craftsmen modernized the design by attaching it to glue, so they had to arm themselves with a screwdriver.

The instructions for training a key to work with the APS-6 immobilizer, found on the Internet, initially caused confusion: at first glance, it seems that it is simply impossible to remember in what sequence to change the training key to a new one, how many times the buzzer should beep and the indicator should blink. And the human body is not at all capable of keeping within a six-second interval between these actions. However, everything turned out to be much simpler - and our video is evidence of this.

  • For some reason, the instruction manual supplied with VAZ cars of recent years does not provide instructions on how to programmatically disable the immobilizer. Many owners are interested in how to disable the immobilizer on Kalina 2, Grant and other similar cars. In fact, the shutdown procedure is provided even for the APS-4 immobilizer (VAZ-2110). For APS-6 modules installed on all modern Ladas, it remains the same.

Replacing the remote control battery

The remote control is equipped with a CR2032 lithium battery, the initial supply voltage of which is 3 V. If the remote control supply voltage is within normal limits, then each time you press any button on the remote control, the indicator lights up with a short flash. If, when you press any button on the remote control, the indicator lights up with two short flashes or does not light up at all, then you should replace the battery with a new one.

To do this, you need to unscrew the screw from the side of the case opposite the control buttons, separate the halves of the case, remove the board from the case, replace the battery with a new one, observing the polarity; insert the board into the case; snap the housing halves together and tighten the screw.

Resynchronization of remote control codes

In cases where the remote control buttons are pressed outside the range of the radio channel, the “floating” code counter in the remote control goes out of synchronization with the counter in the system control unit. If the number of button presses outside the signal reception area of ​​the system exceeds 1000, the system stops responding to remote control commands. In this case, the remote control training procedure should be repeated.

  3. Remove the two plugs located on the sides of the alarm button.
  4. Unscrew two more fastening screws that are located under the plugs.
  5. Remove the rotary switches for temperature and air flow direction.
  6. Pull the central trim towards you and remove it from the latches.
  7. Disconnect electrical connectors to trim-mounted components.
  8. Remove the standard unit, secured in a plastic case under the central air duct, using two screws.
  9. Disconnect the wiring plug from the unit by pressing the latch.

Remote control power supply

The key contains a lithium battery, which is powered by 3 V. If the power supply is normal, then the diode on the key should light up for a short time when you press any button. If there are more flashes or no flashes at all, then you should change the power supply in the key. To do this, unscrew the screw, which is located on the back side of the power buttons. The halves are separated, the board is removed from the case and the battery is replaced. It is important to observe the polarity of the element. Assembly occurs in reverse order.
