In this position, voltage is supplied to the elements of the ignition control system. To do this, the white thread is closed with brown, and the pink thread with black and blue. In this case, several groups of contacts are formed. For example, "30 INT" activates the external power circuit including high beam, lighting, instrument panel lighting. Contacts “30/1” and “15/1” supply voltage to the turn signal lamps, reverse gear lamps, elements of the ignition system, etc. The “30/1”, “15/2” pair powers the low/high beam headlights, fog lights, washing machine, fans.

The ignition relay installed in the previous step continues to operate. The main one is a pair of contacts “30”, “50”, which supplies voltage to the starter. The nature of the malfunction of the locking unit on a VAZ 2109 car can also be electrical or mechanical.

The first group includes violations of the integrity of electrical circuits in the switch at a certain key position. If there is no contact, the connected consumers may not work or the car may not start at all.
