There are no changes observed in the rear of the body or on the sides, with the exception of the front fenders, where the holes for the turn signal lamps have disappeared.

Inside, there is still no sound-absorbing material on the hood, although the weight of this body element has increased significantly and the engine shield is also not insulated.

There is now a gasket installed on the inner edge of the hood, but it does not reach the edges and does not protect the headlights from dirt (most likely, some car owners will undertake a major repair).

A regular metal holder is still used here; gas stops are offered by dealers only as additional accessories for a fee.

And another significant advantage of the facelift is that changing headlight bulbs has become much more convenient.

  • the steering column still changes position only in height, there is no extension adjustment even in the upper part;
  • the audio system, available in “older” versions, has become multimedia and has a more modern screen. But by modern standards, the display is still small, and it is located at the bottom, which is not very convenient;
  • the air conditioning control unit, borrowed from the Renault Duster-1, is equipped with three rotating “turntables” and has no sensors;
  • The side air intakes of the trunk in the three-row version can be opened to provide passengers with fresh air.
  • The electric windows are not equipped with closers (there is also no Auto function on the driver’s side), so you have to raise and lower the windows by constantly pressing the button;
  • The illuminated glove compartment (glove compartment) is quite large in size and can easily accommodate sheets of A4 paper;
  • the same three-spoke multifunction steering wheel is installed as in the Lada Vesta and XRay; there are no control buttons on it only in the three Classic versions;
  • another ceiling light with separate lighting and buttons for the driver and front passenger was installed, and the Era-Glonass module was also installed;

The joystick for controlling the mirrors remained in the same place, under the handbrake lever; unfortunately, the automaker did not correct this error.

AvtoVAZ also spared money on door seals - they are visible only on the openings, and are absent on the doors themselves.

As before, the station wagon is available in versions with 5 and 7 seats (two and three rows), but now the car is equipped with new seats, the same as in the Lada XRay.

Let's start our review of the Lada Largus with the trunk. It and the possibility of transforming the interior are one of the main features of the car. It has 550 liters of usable volume. The second row can be completely folded and 2350 liters of volume will be available. The maximum length of transported cargo will be approximately 156 centimeters. If you fold the backrests, you can fit a load up to 180 centimeters long.

The back of the front passenger seat also reclines and the depth of the trunk increases to 270 centimeters. In this case, the maximum height of the load will be up to 65 cm. Load capacity is 500 kilograms.

Passenger seats

Thanks to an almost three-meter wheelbase and a roof raised by 10 centimeters, it is quite comfortable here even if you are taller than average. There is reserve both in the legs and above the head.

There are a number of oddities worth noting. The back row is divided into three separate seats, but it’s not very comfortable for three people there. There are no cup holders or niches in the doors in the interior. But there is a mezzanine of dubious purpose, which, although large and, it feels, strong, is deprived of even a mesh that would hold something there. There is an ISO-fix mount for child seats.

The air duct was installed at the feet of second-row passengers, which allows for faster heating of the cabin in the cold season. But with the windows closed and the air conditioning turned off, the car quickly becomes stuffy.

If we talk about ergonomics and the interior as a whole, then there are convenient pipe air ducts, good placement of door lock buttons, and power windows. But the main thing is the horn, which is activated using a button located on top of the turn signal handle. Several convenient glove compartments, some with lighting. Overall, the interior looks and feels pretty decent.

Trunk Features

The Largus station wagon has two hinged tailgates with locking rings on the rear side walls of the body, which can open to an angle of almost 180 degrees.

In richer versions, a rear view camera is mounted on the left door, made of a single monolith with a horizontal black plastic cover.

Unfortunately, the camera is not covered with anything and does not have a washer.

On the sides of the luggage compartment there are nets for securing small loads, and on the left side there is a 12-volt socket.

Largus' spare tire is stuck outside, under the bottom, and it is inconvenient to pull it out, and besides, the spare tire is always dirty.

The cargo compartment of a two-row car itself is quite roomy (560 liters), but for a three-row car it is small, barely enough to accommodate two large suitcases.

When all seat backs are folded down, with the exception of the first row, the trunk volume increases significantly, reaching 2350 liters.

Engine and transmission

Both before restyling and in the updated version, the Largus model is equipped with two types of 1.6-liter VAZ gasoline engines, of the proposed types of transmission - only the time-tested “five-speed manual” of domestic production.

Sixteen-valve “Senior” engine VAZ-21129 with 106 hp. C remained on the car in its original form.

But the eight-valve engine received a slight update, it became a little more powerful. Contains 48 design changes.

In addition, its factory index has changed: a VAZ-11189 power plant with a power of 87 hp has appeared, and now a VAZ-11182 internal combustion engine with 90 horsepower is installed.

In addition to a slight increase in maximum power, the 8-valve engine has an increased cylinder compression ratio from 10.3 to 10.5, resulting in improved engine knock resistance.

Engine 11182 can run on 92-octane gasoline, but AI-95 fuel is recommended.

Maximum eight-valve torque has also increased slightly (from 140 to 143 Nm at 3800 rpm), but this figure has become even better at close to idle.

That is, if the timing belt breaks, the valves do not meet the pistons, and in this case, serious repairs with significant financial investments are no longer a threat.

Lada Largus FL, presented in 2022, is a compact passenger car in a station wagon body, produced on the basis of Dacia B0; after restyling, the car platform has not changed.

But the overall dimensions are slightly different: the length of the updated car is 4488 mm, the width and height are 1735 and 1626 mm, respectively, the height including the roof rail is 1656 mm.

The station wagon with a sixteen-valve internal combustion engine VAZ-21129 is presented with the following equipment options:

Not only the side mirror housings are painted in body color, but also the exterior handles, and moldings appear on the doors.

The next level of 5- and 7-seater Comfort / Multimedia equipment (KS045-A1-L53 and RS045-A1-L53: from 872,900 and 899,900 rubles, respectively) is additionally equipped with a front central armrest, a rear camera with three parking sensors, and this version has electric Power windows for all side doors.

Now the Lada Largus Cross in its maximum configuration costs more than 600 thousand rubles. This means that its competitors are Skoda Rapid in the minimum configuration, X-Ray or Vesta, Hundai and Logan.

Yes, this model has disadvantages:

The LADA Largus van is a two-seater car with the same number of doors as a station wagon, but does not have rear windows on the sides (instead of sheet metal), all the space behind the driver and front passenger seats is wasted.

Advantages and disadvantages of Lada Largus

Lada Largus is an economy class car, perhaps the cheapest passenger station wagon on the Russian market.

In general, reviews of the Lada Largus model are not bad, although the car has not only advantages, but also various disadvantages.

The advantages of this car, first of all, include low cost, relatively inexpensive maintenance and spare parts.

In addition, among the advantages it is necessary to highlight:

  • the ability to choose between a two- and three-row option;
  • The interior is spacious, but there could be more space in the second row legs;
  • endurance and unpretentiousness of high-torque engines, especially for an 8-valve engine;
  • The ground clearance is high enough for a station wagon.
  • energy-intensive suspension;

Even the owners of the car have no complaints about the trunk: even in a seven-seater car, with all the seats working, there is still space to store goods, and with the “seats” folded, you can also transport a refrigerator.

Fuel consumption is also not a big complaint, although some car owners still complain about the “gluttony” of engines: in winter, city gasoline consumption can increase to 15 liters per 100 km.

Largus could be called a reliable car, if not for various benches, repeated breakdowns, and “curvature” of the assembly.

A lot depends on luck here: some people never stop praising the car, others are already tired of constant visits to the car service center.

The car will have other disadvantages. According to reviews, the main disadvantages of the VAZ station wagon are:

  • poor ergonomics, although some improvements have been noted after modernization;
  • poor sound insulation;
  • not the best visibility;
  • lack of cabin filter;
  • hermetic doors (you will have to slam them with force);
  • inexpensive and easily scratched internal plastic;
  • uncomfortable seats, but after restyling they became noticeably more comfortable;
  • inability to adjust the steering column for starting;
  • long-term heating of the interior in cold weather.

Many car enthusiasts complain about the lack of sixth gear; because of this, at high speeds the engine begins to growl and fuel consumption increases.

A typical transmission disease is the rapid tearing of the drive wheel boots, and in many cases this requires replacement of the CV joints.

It would be a stretch to include Largus’ handling as a plus: on the highway the car behaves quite carelessly, but in a crosswind it blows sideways, and besides, it does not have an ESP stabilization system.

We continue our review of the Lada Largus Cross. The seating position is not very comfortable; you sit as if in a chair. The ground clearance is 145 centimeters in the non-cross version and this is not enough. If it snows, you don’t want to drive into a small snowdrift. But none of the owners complain, even if the ground clearance is not enough, the shock absorbers can be changed.

For the Lada Largus Cross 2022 you will have to look for parts in catalogs; you won’t find spare parts for almost Renaults so easily. But even so nothing breaks. Unless you decide to change the oil yourself and buy a filter.

After 4 thousand revolutions, the engine begins to make interesting sounds.

There is an on-board computer, but it is not very easy to understand. A test drive of the Largus Cross showed fuel consumption of about 9 liters in the city.
